I think there were quite a few who did not think it was bad, but the opinions are split. I remember watching a video from WoWCrendor on late April ranking the expansions. And he said it wasn't that bad. I've read the comments as well, trying to find more clues on what's the general opinion. I miss MoP everyday. Listening to this music brings back memories. I would give many things to go back time 6 years ago, standing in line in front of shop where I bought MoP. Playing 5 days in a row, and once more explore and discover fantastic land of Pandaria. Thank you for this music.
pff same my friend.. MoP was so good! the only thing I didn't liked was the talents and glyphs because most of the time these weren't exciting. MoP was great and for me it was the best expansion ever :D it was also the one I had played the most
Mist had a bad rap in the beginning but I commonly see it ranked in the top 3-4 of the expansions in many long term players. Definitely a unique and beautiful expansion that I'm glad exists. Also perfect channel, I had watched Everness' channel before and think you'll at least be up there in time as well.
I am an enthusiast on anything regarding WoW and I liked it of course! (Not as much as Vanilla :) ) And regarding my channel progress, it will take me some time (a lot!) because YT algorithm has changed before I started publishing my first videos.
I think it's kind of like The Wind Waker in that regard. Everyone hated the cell-shaded look at first, but now they look back with fondness. I know I loved it.
I was one of those bashing it when it came out. Later I came back and played through it. I was so wrong. I wish I had had a chance to experience it when it came out. I’m hoping it comes to classic. I might have to go back to Azeroth if that happens

8:17 If im not mistaken, road that leads straight ahead, after that pass, or ridge, goes downhill. I remember runing up with Chen and little one for quests, but that moment when zone opened up, after that pass...WHOOAH.!!!! There was waterfall from mountain, some dragon head. Ahead in distance...fields, villages. That moment have special place in my hearth. U turned camera left, to the bridge...too bad:). Funfact...i saw that great lizzard boss only few times. On 8:27 u can see blast from his cannons.

While I never truly appreciated/liked it and didn't even have the chance to play it (back then especially), the closeminded ppl make me sad too, in general as well, so I totally know what you mean... And it must've been a nice xpack from what I've read/heard, at least PvP+music wise. It certainly couldn't be as bad as some ppl make it sound.

Nice! I am happy you like it too. Here I've started to learn pet battles by the way. I had only one cat level 20 if I remember correctly, leveled up by my friend, and I felt really good while managed to win a fight with random pets. Did not know back then about type of pets, type of attacks etc.. I was just fighting based on random decisions or very little knowledge anyway :) Welcome back Coraline! (again a new photo) :)
Maybe because a lot of people thought Pandas don't belong to a world such as World of Warcraft. But WoW has changed a lot (we had spaceships from TBC, but we got a lot more in Legion, in WotLK we had a Dalaran - a flying city, in BfA we have flying ships (Jaina's), really long range Horde catapults which are destroying something huge as Teldrassil (sorry, I had to say it...). Anyway, Pandas and their land have a special place in my heart. :)
It doesn't fit the anti-Asian narratives ; Blizzard was so brilliant in trying to make this ' Eastern Culture ' accessible for everyone... but here we are in year 2022, supporting the Bandera-battalions (literally backed by the CIA) of Ukraine in their Holy War against the "Communists" (Russia/Mongols)... this is the Cold War nightmare perpetrated by old guard of our country's highest offices (except for the face of the president), while the rest of the world are trying to move on and make the world a better place to live
Another part of Pandaria and one of my favourite zones in the game! :D It is so nice that a big part of those songs are calming, but yet really special for me. The soundtrack really fits the zone and it's pretty diffrent from ohers in the game. Good job! This is really well done! ^_^

It was really challenging to create the playlist: - there are big chances that the music you hear can play exactly in the same sub-zone I've filmed (this was like an extra challenge); - I find the start of the video with music which is really slow, but I couldn't find a better solution; (From my struggles :) ) Kind regards, Meisio
Every expansions has the mob types you just simply hate to even look at. For me Pandaria had multiple unfortunately... the hozen, vermin and the mogu. Despite that, it is the expansion I put most time into.
I never really understood the hate for pandaria. I felt like those 'hurr durr kung fu panda' people had very closed minds, unable to explore and accept WoW in a 'out there' setting. I loved this expansion, both it's story (the horde rebellion story especially) and the world were incredibly immersive. Some of the unbalanced one-shot PvP things were annoying and amazingly fun at the same time(*cough* Enhance/Destro/Arcane *cough*). The raids were great, especially SoO and Isle of Thunder. I am nostalgic for this expansion more that I realised. You don't realise how much you value what you had until its gone.
Talking from deep experience / knowledge I see. :) It doesn't matter if there are haters of Pandaria, I am going to do my job and create videos for each zone. For the people who loved it. Thank for sharing your experience with us Jack! :)
trust me when I say this but before MoP was released I was like wtf why are they adding panda's to the game.. ofc I played MoP when it came out and for me it was the best experience ever lol. I was still a casual but I played a LOT lol. The music, the gameplay, the surroundings everything was perfect.. I miss it

I've met Cynthia Hsiang who help coordinate traditional folk musicians for Blizzard in making of the MOP soundtrack; she is the Chinese folk music director at Pasadena City College, and had hosted Spring and Fall folk-orchestral concerts there for years... it's so unfortunately how politics and racism have reared its evil head and gave much hatred in the MOP expansion, as I find MOP to be such high bar of artistry and aesthetics of an idyllic humanoid culture of peace, fun, friends and food... And it's only gotten worse in last few years with the top-down anti-Asian hysteria and violence (presented largely as Sinophobia, but negatively impacting all strata of Asian cultures, and even Native American/First Nation cultures) by the Far-Right and Fraud-Left warmongers from the highest places in our government institutions, through their mainstream media mouthpieces, and onto the massed ignoramuses foot soldiers pulling the triggers... Hopefully one day, in lasting peace and progress, and prosperity shared with everyone, Mists of Pandaria can make a comeback for new generation of 'VR' getaway gaming and vacationing 🐼
I see players rate MoP above BC&Legion and place it just behind Wotlk which is surprising to me. I never was a huge fan of Chinese theme thus I dislike the expansion! But I really like Valley of the Four Winds it's beautiful and original.
Blizzard was brilliant in trying to make Eastern culture accessible to the ignoramuses, but oddly it had created disaffection amongst some "purists"... and certainly is against the narratives of current Far-Right to Fraud-Left politics and their mainstream media mouthpieces.
The biggest Con in MoP, was the 6 month content drought.... Other than that and the stupid Sha enemy, fucking amazing game Isle of thunder is the best patch ever

Was not received well by some of the people in the community, but it was a great expansion overall. I agree.
