Fashion Insiders by Daria Shapovalova: Nicolas Ouchenir, calligrapher

Nicolas Ouchenir can boast a very unique position in fashion; he knows the name of each guest on the biggest and most important shows like Rick Owens, Balmain, Dior, and Vionnet to name a few.
His role is to address all the invitations, which can reach up to one thousand invitations, for one show. Each name of the guest is handwritten, of course, in the capital of fashion where nothing comes easily and the perfection of details is extremely important. The art of calligraphy Nicolas has sharpened over the past 10 years for top designers, has now gone even further to developing logos for such brands as the infamous Chateux Marmont in Los Angeles."
Now, on the brink of publishing his new book on fashion calligraphy, in the middle of a fashion season, where no doubt he is completely overloaded with work, we have successfully caught him for an interview in his studio.
