Imagine if they had made Mohg a more present threat in the game. As you explore the lands between you find ruined settlements and slain tarnished all with a banner with a trident on it standing priud amidst oceans of corpses that lay drained of blood. And as you continue the main quest, you see more and more bloody fingers and nobles appear as they overrun areas, building beachheads for the coming invasion. And then there comes the moment when you at last cast down Morgott and set fire to the Erdtree you are summoned back to the hold and learn that the Bloody Fingers and Mohgwyn have commenced an assault on the round table hold and you have to fight them off. Once you do so, you look out at the lands between and sea a blood red sky as blood rains down and bathes the land as monsters poor forth from the depths. The trident is ready and poised to at last strike down all those who oppose them as they march upon the surface and the capital. Now you travel the bloodstained lands and witness the devastation wrought by the New Dynasty and they slaughter many npcs and imprison others. And in your travels you encounter a fierce battle where the chieftain of the badlands and his own forces have engaged a legion of the monsters. As you join the fight against the Mohgwyn, you and the Chieftan agree to a ceasefire in your pursuit if the ring so that this threat may be dealt with. And as you reach Leyndell, you behold the Capital of Bloodsoaked Ash and witness the true horror of the formless mother and the Mohgwyn as tou and Horah Loux at last confront Mohg at the precipice of him breaching the tree and ushering forth a dark age. No Longer a mere omen, he has risen to a fully fledged demigod and now stands at the height of his power. Now it is up to the two of you to stop this evil. Are you up to it.
Considering Varre is most likely the first NPC we meet, Mohg is afforded much more build-up than most regular Fromsoft villains (Sulyvahn, Seath) but not as much as in Sekiro, unfortunately. Yura and Eleonore questline in particular feels unfinished and disjointed from Mohg (which according to cut content, was once much more tied with Varre at least.) Mohg still has some impact in the world, as his servants are most certainly building beach-heads (Writheblood ruins) and recruiting oppressed people to support his dynasty, (Rose Church albinaurics). But it is still something one can miss very easily. I feel you are right and the game like Elden Ring would have massively benefitted from more narrative approach than most Fromsoft games, and having more engaged NPC questlines, especially around demi-gods and their factions. It kinda makes one hope that every demigod, (or at least their faction in case of Radahn, Miquella and perhaps Morgott) would have been afforded Ranni treatment where you can either ally or oppose them, having one "main" quest each. Especially if depending which factions remain alive at the end of the game, world changes. (Mohgwyn Dynasty commences invasion of Altus and Leyndell, Rykard leaves Volcano Manor and slithers to capital, Ranni schemes up something, Malenia, either as normal or fully as goddess returns from the Haligtree, Godfrey leads Badlanders and remaining Leyndell loyalists, all culminating in one epic showdown at the ruins of Leyndell.) Perhaps if you ally with Mohg during mid-game with Varre, you could be part of his invasion on the Lands Between and personally lead the attack on Roundtable Hold. It would also make encounter with Gideon much more personal and dramatic turn of events. Perhaps Miquella´s Cocoon could then take role of upgrading your weapons and spirit ashes, if you are forced to kill Hewg and Roderika.
My favorite boss, attack timings constantly threw me off, on top of his relentless aggression. Beating him solo with no summons was definitely hard but I’d say it was the most fun out of my solo bosses run.
I was thinking that if Mohg yelled "DIE!" in the middle of the second phase like the Ivory King, it would be really scary. You're already being overwhelmed by a rain attack and they flood the arena with blood, and then to hear that really loud out of nowhere. That would be awesome.
Fun fact: latin lyrics are about him being shunned, thrown into the sewers and finding the formless mother in the first phase. The second phase its just MIQUELLA WAKE UP WE HAVE A DYNASTY TO MAKE source: ruclips.net/video/TV0WLgDON34/видео.html
Well, sorta. He wants to kill us because we've gotten audience with him, but by then we've found him at his lowest mentally. Hes obsessed with Miquella and his dynasty, and we know he doesnt interact much with his followers from Varres dying dialogue. He seems to be a myth to even his closest followers, so the arrival of a powerful being (us) is sure to provoke him in this state.

For me the best soundtrack in Elden Ring, both the first phase and second phase masterpiece.
When Mohg is the Final boss of Elder Ring and his plan is almost to fruition. The invisible mother comes ...
Sounds like something in Bloodborne 🧐

I would love every minute of pain as I claw my way through the monsoon of blood and the tides of tears.
Doesn't he (or one of his minions) kill the Maiden in the starting area? I remember a spell referencing how they kill Maidens.
If the game was completed more than in the first location... it would be great(
Stop giving me false hope, I absolutely would've loved to see that
