God, How I love this band! More than 20 years listening Rage. So many things have changed in my life in all this time but not my love for this band and this music. Forver Rage!
Solid and convincing tune. Rage have always, ALWAYS been a certainty. Sure, a specific album might be better than other, but the overall quality has always been amazing. Rage's "worst" is still above many other band's best.
"Rage" and "worst" do not belong in the same sentence together. There are only good albums and less good albums. Just for the relative inexperience I'd say the least good is Execution Guaranteed.

Now, my influential times were from 1988 to 1998, but I also agree they did cool stuff with Terrana/Smolski ... but the 90's is where Rage showed their unique DNA, and that's the real legacy of this band. Therefore RAGE is not focus on showing the musicians skills anymore, we rather prefer be more focus into SONGS!... like back in the 90's!!
yes. I feel the same about another German delight - RUNNING WILD. Never left their trademark heavy metal style for commercialism. (NB1: Even the great Iron Maiden fell prey to commercialism since Brave New World). NB2: First 3 albums of Rage are my personal favourite.

There was an interview with Peavy lately, in which he told that Nuclear Blast was bought by some company and a person they had worked with for years isn't there anymore. Also that the company is in general going through some changes right now. Their contract ended and they just decided to go back to SPV.
@@Ray_2112 Thanks for the info mate. Other than that there seems to be this kind of a trend going on that every Rage's album released under SPV has been great. Look back at Unity (a motherfking fantastic bloody album) and Soundchaser (really good too), probably the best albums released in the Smolski era and ones of the best of all time. And now with the songs we've heard so far and the previews of other songs on their official YT channel, the album Wings Of Rage is shaping up to be one of the best albums ever as well. Coincidence? I don't think so. ;D
@@VoltigeurGT Haha yes, Peavy gets more excited composing for SPV. :D I agree with Unity and Soundchaser being two of their very best albums, I'm sure the new one will be great as well. The only thing that's getting worse with the label change is the bonus material...there is a deluxe edition with some stuff, but no bonus track(s) unfortunately. With Nuclear Blast each album came with a bonus CD or even live DVD (the Wacken 2007 and 2009 shows were amazing!).
@@Ray_2112 Yeah that sadly seems to be true. I liked all the mysterious bonus tracks, even those back from the G.U.N. years. Now I've got literally every song Rage has ever released (bonus tracks and demos included) aside from one single song, Chase. A bonus track from the Japanese limited edition of Black In Mind, and it re-released not a long time ago in 2019 with a reissue/remaster of Black In Mind. I'm gonna get my hands on it soon, can't wait :D

It s a very low ratio. Think of any other metal band of the same age and try to compare.I find rage to be extremely consistent.
