Last week of December and the initial period of January is a great time to expect a snow covered Khajjiar for sure, however, had this question been asked to me in the month of December, it would have been easier for me to check the forecast. Sometimes it can be delayed by a week or so as well. But, if we go by the records, the time you are planning to go there is an ideal time to find snow.
June to August is the rainy season in Dalhousie. According to news reports, rain has created havoc in most parts of Himachal, making it unsuitable for visiting. While other areas have faced issues like landslides, Dalhousie hasn't, and the same was the case last year. Still, it’s generally not advisable to visit the mountains during the rainy months. If you’ve already decided to go, please be safe.
November me jyada thand nahi hogi par pleasant weather bilkul rahega. Snow etc. aapko December ke end me milta hai. Hotels ke price normal hi rahenge aur Rs. 1000 se milne shuru ho jayenge. Aapke requirements ke hisaab se aap kisi bhi limit tak jaa sakte hain. Aap homestays bhi try kar sakte hain.
Of course! Visiting Dalhousie in mid-October will be quite feasible, as the weather will be ideal for exploring both Dalhousie and Khajjiar. The daytime temperature will be around 20 -25 degrees Celsius, making it pleasant, while it may drop to about 15 degrees Celsius at night. Bringing some light winter wear would be perfect.
A light motor vehicle (LMV) license is meant for driving light motor vehicles, which are cars. In order to drive a scooty, one must possess a two-wheeler driving license.
You can visit these places year-round, but if you want to experience snowfall in Manali town, the best time is from late December to February. Alternatively, you can head towards Atal Tunnel, Sissu, and Rohtang Pass (weather permitting) to find snow most of the time. Same is the case gor Dalhousie and Khajjiar. In November, the weather will be very pleasant and you'll have a great time.
Actually, the rainy season starts in July. If you have already decided to go there in July, keep a few extra days in mind in case you aren't able to travel on any particular day. Stay safe!
June ke month me hotel ke price decent rehte hain. Pehle se book karne ki jarurat nahi padegi. Agar aap solo hain toh Rs. 1500 se aur 2-3 log hain toh Rs. 2000 se decent hotels ke rates start ho jaate hain. If possible aap Dalhousie panhoch ke hotels ke location aur wahan se view kaisa aata hai yeh dekh ke bhi hotels select kar sakte hain. Khajjiar aur Kalatop me bhi stay ke options hain jo aap consider kar sakte hain.
@@yasmeenuruj3822 May is one of the best months to visit Dalhousie & Khajjiar as the temperature is going to be very pleasant and the maximum will remain below 30 degree celcius.
June me aapko snow nahi milega. Yeh actually rainy season hai. Thoda sa snow mil sakta hai Dainkund me par woh bahot kam hoga. Par mausam bahot pleasant rahega agar baarish nahi hoti toh. Garmi se chutkara mil jayega.
Heyyy... How much will be the budget of the trip and how much days is required. ( Can i cover the whole trip in 2 or 3 days).. Is it necessary to rent a bike or public transport is available in between.. Last question, do we get any place to make a tent in night to stay???❤ Thankyou ❤
Hi, Muhammed! Two days should be plenty for sightseeing, but if you're up for some relaxation, stretching it to three days would be great. Let's suppose you are starting your trip from New Delhi. Then a budget of around Rs. 3000 - 3100 (Volvo) or Rs. 1600 (Ordinary) for bus fare is a good estimate (New Delhi - Dalhousie - New Delhi). Since you're camping, you'll save on hotel costs, and Rs. 500 per day for food is a reasonable budget. For local sightseeing in Dalhousie, booking a taxi for around Rs. 2500 or renting a bike (Rs. 1000 approx + Rs. 300 for petrol) are your best options as you can't find public transport between the tourist attractions. So the total budget will depend on the options you choose. You can find a bus for Khajjiar from Dalhousie which leaves in the morning. Even though I haven't pitched a tent during my trip, I did some research and found that you can do it at Dainkund and Kalatop Sanctuary but I would still suggest you to research from your end as well. But, I'm sure that there are many service providers who offer stays at tents, in case that interests you.
Definitely. The temperature won't go beyond 30°C in Dalhousie and Khajjiar and the minimum temp isn't going to be unbearable. So the weather is going to be pleasant, especially to escape from the heat in the plains.
Yeh video last year December 1st week ki hi hai. Toh aapko snow door se hi dikhegi. Dalhousie ya Dharamshala (McLeodganj) me aapko snow new year ke time ke baad se milegi. Dalhousie ke paas Dainkund me snow milegi thodi bahot. Dharamshala aur Dalhousie me situation waisa hi rahega jaise videos me dikhaye Gaye hain jinhe aap reference ke taur pe dekh sakte hain. Weather cold rahega for sure.
If you prefer a winter wonderland experience, December to February is the ideal time to visit Dalhousie and Khajjiar. However, if snow isn't your priority or you can't adjust your travel dates, October is still a great month to visit these destinations. The weather will be pleasant, making it a comfortable time to explore this region.
Bro June end or July ke starting months ke visit ke liye Sahi Rahega? Or can you please suggest some good mountaneous places to visit in July month..??
June end and July start se rainy season start ho jati hai toh weather forecast check kar lena jaane se pehle. Mountains me rainy season me jaana advisable nahi hai par jaane wale toh jaate hi hain🙂 kuch extra days bhi rakhna in case baarish ho jaaye. Aur aap kaunse states jaana chahte hain us hisaab se main bata paunga.
In most parts of Himachal, it has been raining since the beginning of this month, but there have been no reports of any damage in the Dalhousie region. That part is safer than the rest for sure. We can expect the weather to be good in August.
You surely can, however, the rainy season starts from June. So do check the weather forecast before making any booking. Otherwise the temperature will be very pleasant.
The max temperature will remain below 30 degrees so the weather will be pleasant for sure but, there'll also be chances of rain. So check the weather forecast before leaving and if possible, keep a few days extra.
Greenery aapko rainy season ke baad milegi. Abhi rainy season waise start ho gaya hai par July August me aapko kaafi greenery dikhegi khaas karke Khajjiar.
September 2nd week me family ke sath plan hai.. Dalhousie via Amrutsar. Will it be good weather wise? Please suggest kijiye. And Thanks for nice video.
July se September kehte hain ki rainy season hai Himachal me par 2nd week September tak situation normal aur pleasant ho jaana chahiye. Waise bhi Dalhousie wala area safer rehta hai baarish bhi hoti hai toh. Amritsar ka toh koi issue hi nahi hai. Aapko koi issue nahi hoga in terms of rain and all aur weather bilkul accha rahega jaise ki bas ek light winter wear se kaam chal jayega jaise ki ek patle se sweater se aur same goes for the ladies as well. Halki halki thand rahegi aur mazza aayega aapko. Aur glad ki aapko video pasand aaya😊❤️
The pleasure is all mine😊Jan aur Feb me toh aapko snow jaroor milegi par haan luck ka bhi thoda factor rehta hai...Aur uss time Khajjiar aur Dainkund jannat se ban jaate hain. Toh Feb end me jaana accha rahega.
After doing a bit of research, I found that Forest Rest House isn't up for online booking, however, there are a lot of other similar options available in Kalatop itself and you can book your stay through sites like Goibibo and Booking.com.
Ji bilkul. Maine jo bhi jagah dikhaye hain aur jiske baare me bataye hain, wahan aap personal vehicle se bhi jaa sakte hain. Roads Utne risky nahi hain.
Brother me and my 4 friends yesterday planned for a trip to Dalhousie from Delhi. I just want to ask few things to you. We are planning to visit on 21st of Dec. so will we get the snowfall at that time and also please confirm we are 5 friends who are planning to visit there by train so what would be the cost per head according to you and at what amount we can take the cheapest rooms there ???? Please reply soon.
Hi, bro. The date you're planning to visit Dalhousie is perfect! Snowfall is typically expected from late December through February, so you'll likely experience plenty of snow in Dalhousie and Khajjiar. At Dainkund Peak, you can expect even more snow than what you saw in my video. It seems you're students traveling on a budget. For transportation, the most affordable option is the ordinary bus from Delhi to Dalhousie, which costs around Rs. 790. However, if you prefer traveling by train, you can go to Pathankot by train and then take a bus either to Banikhet or directly to Dalhousie. Taking the train to Pathankot will reduce your travel costs. As for accommodation, even though late December is peak tourist season, you should be able to find rooms for Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2000 per night. You'll likely need two rooms, but staying in Khajjiar will be more expensive. Below is a breakdown of the estimated costs per person for your trip: Breakdown (per head): Food: Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 per day for 2 days) Stay: Rs. 1600 (Assuming you take 2 rooms at Rs. 2000 per night for 2 nights) Bus Ticket: Rs. 1580 (Delhi to Pathankot and back; train tickets will cost less) Sightseeing by Taxi: Rs. 500 (Total Rs. 2500 split among travelers) Sightseeing by Scooty + Fuel: Rs. 600 (Considering Rs. 800/day for 3 scooties plus fuel) Total: Rs. 5280 per head This total can vary depending on your preferences or specific needs.

@@mr.freebird one more thing, as u mentioned that december is a peak tourist season so we are confused about staying in Dalhousie. Should we pre book the hotels or we can book after reaching there.
@@vishalchauhan9592 If your travel date is fixed, it's a good idea to make your bookings for peace of mind. Since you're traveling during peak season, it's actually better to book online. Had it been any other time, booking directly at the hotel upon arrival would have been a better option.

Hey Tapas. Like your videos. Content is informative and full of interesting trivias. Just a suggestion. Along with the places you might also focus on the famous food or affordable eateries which are renowned for some specific dishes. For example, Amritsar has some very famous lassi shops and dhabas which are close to 100yrs old. Every place might have some unique food item or speciality which might add more value to the content
Thank you so much for the suggestion, Vikash. I admit that the entire segment for food is missing from all my videos, and if I include that, it'll not only add value to the videos but also the videos will seem complete in some way. You will see some inclusions in the videos in the time to come😊
Thank you for the complement, Varun Bhai❤️😊 As far as I know, Jot is a beautiful, small and offbeat village whereas Jot Pass can be reached by doing a trek. Since I didn't visit any of these places, I won't be able to give much info about these. If you speak with the locals once you reach Dalhousie or Khajjiar, it'll be quite helpful to you. Also there are certain videos about Jot pass as well on YT which you can check.

Ummeed hai baarish thodi kam ho jayegi next month. August one of the best months nahi hai Himachal ke liye par Dalhousie side thoda safe hai kyun ki uss side mishaps ki koi khabar nahi aati. July se September tak rainy season rehta hai par aapne decide kar liya hai toh jaane se pehle thoda forecast check kar lena aur please be safe.

Later half me baarish dikha raha hai. Tab jaa rahe hain toh prepared rahein, Matlab raincoat etc leke ek do din extra rakhein baaki stay safe.

Thank you, Kalpesh Ji. Itna time toh actually kam hai par phir bhi isko jaroor acche se utilise kiya ja sakta hai. Pehle din aap 3 baje se leke 7-8 baje tak ghum sakte hain aur 4-5 jagah cover kar sakte hain jaise ki St. Francis Church, Subhash Chowk, Garam Sadak, Gandhi Chowk aur Tibetan Market. Sunset bilkul miss na karein. Dusre din aap subah subah nikal jaiye Khajjiar ke taraf, phir Chamba ke taraf thoda aage jaake lord Shiva statue, Santoshi Maa temple aur Manimahesh View Point jaake phir Dainkund Peak jaake Dalhousie wapas laut ke time bacha ho toh Panjpula bhi jaa sakte hain. Time kam hone ki wajah se yeh trip thoda sa hectic ho sakta hai par totally worth ho jayega. Subhash Baoli bhi aap include kar sakte hain kisi bhi din. Agli baar kabhi aake aap baaki jagah cover kar sakte hain.
Agar possible hai toh kyun nahi. Taxi charge aapko 5k to 6k lag jayega 2nd day ke liye jabki 2500 approx lag jayega pehle din ke liye. Par aap walk karke bhi ghum sakte hain pehle din. Ek din badha sakte hain toh aap Kalatop Sanctuary me bhi reh sakte hain. Booking.com etc se aap with book kar sakte hain.
Hi. it's actually not safe to visit Dalhousie or any hilly area in Himachal during the rainy season (June - September). There have been mishaps in recent years. You may want to consider another destination or postpone your trip.
Hello bro, amazing video Couple of Questions if you can help out: 1. How is the drive and roads from Pathankot to Dharmashala. Is it safe to personally drive cars? 2. How is the drive and roads from Dharmashala to Dalhousie? And is it safe to drive here 3. Would love any other tips for December month and driving and travelling during that time Loved your video!! All the best! Hope you can find the window to answer these questions
Hi! Thank you so much for the kind words. Glad you liked the video.❤️😊 Pathankot to Dharamshala: The drive is quite scenic with mostly good roads. It's mostly safe to drive, but do watch out for occasional narrow stretches and sharp turns. It's absolutely safe to drive on this route, and to gain some confidence in driving in Himachal Pradesh, this would be a good stretch. Dharamshala to Dalhousie: You won't find any challenges in the first half of the road as you will be driving almost at the same altitude until about Nurpur. You would have already used the same road while going to Dharamshala. This drive is also quite beautiful. The roads are mostly in good condition, but like any hilly region, be prepared for some winding roads. From Nurpur to Dalhousie, it will be a bit challenging but not that risky at all. I visited Dharamshala and Dalhousie in the first week of December last year, so you will likely have the same experience as I did. It was not very cold at that time, with temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius. When we think of hill stations, we expect very cold weather and maybe even snowfall. To experience that, the time around Christmas is perfect if you can manage to go then. You may not want to miss seeing a snow covered Khajjiar. Some general tips would be to carry warm clothes and sunscreen. Also you can try staying at Kalatop Sanctuary.
The weather won't be much different on 17th March than how it's right now as per the forecast. The minimum will be around 8°C and the maximum will be around 25°C. So it's going to be quite pleasant. You'll find much more snow at Dainkund than shown in this video.Happy Journey!
May is one of the peak months for tourists to visit this region, especially as the temperature soar above 40 degrees Celsius in most areas in the plains. However, in Dalhousie and Khajjiar, tourists can enjoy pleasantly mild weather during this time. Temperatures typically range between 10 to 30 degrees Celsius in May, making it an ideal time to visit these destinations.
Loved your vlogg bro. Is it convenient to stay near gandhi chowk Or subhash chowk? Please suggest some decent hotels for 3 senior citizens like us. Also, would the dinekund hilltop climbing be very strenuous for us? Shall wait for your response. Thanks.
Deb ji, staying near both these places will be convenient. Whereas Gandhi chowk is a bit crowded, Subhash chowk is on the quiter side. I'll name a few decent hotels after doing a bit of research. And yes, climbing to the Dainkund Peak is indeed strenuous even for young people. But no worries. You have still got a lot of places to explore. You may like Kalatop Wilflife Sanctuary as well.
Actually, July rainy season hota hai. Matlab not an ideal time par temperature bahot accha rehta hai plus unlimited greenery!!! Aapne decide kar liya hai toh kuch din extra jaroor rakhein taaki kisi din aap baarish ki wajah se na ghum payen toh extra day(s) kaam aayenga. Baaki, have a great trip!!!
@@sinnirajput625 Abhi time jaisa chal raha hai kahin pe kuch bhi ho sakta hai to be honest. Season wise cheezein nahi ho rahi hain. Baarish hadd se jyada ho jaa rahi hai kahin kahin pe. Hum ummeed yahi kar sakte hain ki bas unwanted time pe baarish na ho jaaye kisi jagah pe. Dalhousie aur Khajjiar ke side waise landslides aur road blockages ke news nahi aate ya phir kam hi aate hain. Toh comparatively safe hai. September ka second half toh rainy season nahi hai par aap phir bhi ek do din extra leke chalein aur baarish etc ke liye prepared rahein toh accha hai.
Mid June se September tak rainy season rehta hai aur hilly areas me thoda khatra rehta hai jaisa aap pichle kuch saalon me dekh rahe honge. Yeh baat bhi hai ki har din baarish nahi hogi. Baarish nahi hone ke chances hain kisi particular dates ke liye toh aap ja sakte hain.
Tapas next week mai apni beti ke sath delhousie dharamshala trip by train karne vale hai.kya share taxi milti hai Baki sari information aapke videos se mil chuki hai👍👍
Aap Dharamshala to Dalhousie toh by bus jaa sakte hain par dono hi jagah se sightseeing ke liye taxi book karni hogi. Sharing taxis mere khayal se nahi milte. Aapko koi aur solo traveler ya 1-2 log mil jaate hain toh acchi baat hai jo ki luck ki baat hai. Maine Dharamshala me ek taxi book kiya tha jiske liye Rs. 2000 dene pade the jabki Dalhousie me ek bike rent pe liya tha. Dalhousie to Khajjiar bhi bus mil jayegi par sightseeing ke liye toh taxi hi sahi hai.
Absolutely, Himachal is one of the safest states to travel to, known for its welcoming atmosphere. However, it's always wise to prioritize your safety. Staying in homestays is not only a safe option but also offers a great way to dive into the local culture. Additionally, staying informed about weather conditions, avoiding isolated areas at night, and keeping emergency contacts handy are important precautions to take.
@@mr.freebird thanks so much 🤩 we can take help from localites for directions . Can I go khajjiar and ganji pahadi solo? Like will I find people there ?
I am not sure about Ganji Pahari and you may find very less tourists who prefer to go there although it's a very good place, I have heard, but, don't miss Khajjiar at any cost, and also Dainkund. Don't be surprised if you find other solo female travellers there.
That's a great thing. Hope I'll find some solo travellers. Also public transport (buses) are available to travel to these places ? I guess local people would also guide for the same?!

A light motor vehicle (LMV) license is meant for driving light motor vehicles, which are cars. In order to drive a scooty, one must possess a two-wheeler driving license.

Aisa bike rental wale bhaiya ne toh kaha tha par abhi mushkil lag raha hai to be honest.
What about November end as I'm planning for manali and Dalhousie..is it good bro?
You can visit these places year-round, but if you want to experience snowfall in Manali town, the best time is from late December to February. Alternatively, you can head towards Atal Tunnel, Sissu, and Rohtang Pass (weather permitting) to find snow most of the time. Same is the case gor Dalhousie and Khajjiar. In November, the weather will be very pleasant and you'll have a great time.
Is it good to visit in July
Actually, the rainy season starts in July. If you have already decided to go there in July, keep a few extra days in mind in case you aren't able to travel on any particular day. Stay safe!
Which month have you travelled in?
I had traveled to this place in mid December. The weather would still be preferable to visit here until May end.
Bhai is June me jaaye aagar to hotels vagairya ka kaisa rahega?
June ke month me hotel ke price decent rehte hain. Pehle se book karne ki jarurat nahi padegi. Agar aap solo hain toh Rs. 1500 se aur 2-3 log hain toh Rs. 2000 se decent hotels ke rates start ho jaate hain. If possible aap Dalhousie panhoch ke hotels ke location aur wahan se view kaisa aata hai yeh dekh ke bhi hotels select kar sakte hain. Khajjiar aur Kalatop me bhi stay ke options hain jo aap consider kar sakte hain.

Thank you so much for the kind words, bhai❤️😇
Does in April can we see some snowfall near dainkund?
You will definitely find snow in Dainkund but live snowfall is highly unlikely to happen in April. The time for that is January and February.
@amitupadhyay789 is May a good time to visit these places??

Last question, do we get any place to make a tent in night to stay???❤
Thankyou ❤
How is weather in mid June ??
Actually, from June the rainy season starts. So do check the weather forecast before making any booking.
Otherwise the weather will be quite pleasant.
Is it good to visit last week of may? Regarding weather
Definitely. The temperature won't go beyond 30°C in Dalhousie and Khajjiar and the minimum temp isn't going to be unbearable. So the weather is going to be pleasant, especially to escape from the heat in the plains.
Kiya yahan par apni car se bhi ja sakte hain. Ya taxi or rented bike hi leni padegi

Bhaiya December k first week me Dalhousie aur Dharmsala me kaisa rahega jana??? Snow milegi ki nahi??
Yeh video last year December 1st week ki hi hai. Toh aapko snow door se hi dikhegi. Dalhousie ya Dharamshala (McLeodganj) me aapko snow new year ke time ke baad se milegi. Dalhousie ke paas Dainkund me snow milegi thodi bahot. Dharamshala aur Dalhousie me situation waisa hi rahega jaise videos me dikhaye Gaye hain jinhe aap reference ke taur pe dekh sakte hain. Weather cold rahega for sure.
Im planning to go in coming days in October.is this worth it to go in October.kindly reply 🙇
Can I visit in August????
In most parts of Himachal, it has been raining since the beginning of this month, but there have been no reports of any damage in the Dalhousie region. That part is safer than the rest for sure. We can expect the weather to be good in August.
Bike rent ka liya linces ki jarurat padati hai kya
Ji license ki jarurat toh padti hai aur rent Rs. 900 tha.
Can we visit Dalhousie in June Start??
You surely can, however, the rainy season starts from June. So do check the weather forecast before making any booking. Otherwise the temperature will be very pleasant.
Snow will be there on June starting we are also visting?
Is it good to travel in June?
The max temperature will remain below 30 degrees so the weather will be pleasant for sure but, there'll also be chances of rain. So check the weather forecast before leaving and if possible, keep a few days extra.
Particular is season june me wahan scenic view hoga ya nhi? Like greenery hogi ya nhi

July se September kehte hain ki rainy season hai Himachal me par 2nd week September tak situation normal aur pleasant ho jaana chahiye. Waise bhi Dalhousie wala area safer rehta hai baarish bhi hoti hai toh. Amritsar ka toh koi issue hi nahi hai.
Below is a breakdown of the estimated costs per person for your trip:
Breakdown (per head):
Food: Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 per day for 2 days)
Stay: Rs. 1600 (Assuming you take 2 rooms at Rs. 2000 per night for 2 nights)
Bus Ticket: Rs. 1580 (Delhi to Pathankot and back; train tickets will cost less)
Sightseeing by Taxi: Rs. 500 (Total Rs. 2500 split among travelers)
Sightseeing by Scooty + Fuel: Rs. 600 (Considering Rs. 800/day for 3 scooties plus fuel)
Total: Rs. 5280 per head
This total can vary depending on your preferences or specific needs.

Is it OK to visit dalhausei in July
Hi. it's actually not safe to visit Dalhousie or any hilly area in Himachal during the rainy season (June - September). There have been mishaps in recent years. You may want to consider another destination or postpone your trip.

Hello bro, amazing video
Couple of Questions if you can help out: 1. How is the drive and roads from Pathankot to Dharmashala. Is it safe to personally drive cars?
2. How is the drive and roads from Dharmashala to Dalhousie? And is it safe to drive here
3. Would love any other tips for December month and driving and travelling during that time
Loved your video!!
All the best! Hope you can find the window to answer these questions
Hi! Thank you so much for the kind words. Glad you liked the video.❤️😊
Pathankot to Dharamshala: The drive is quite scenic with mostly good roads.
@@mr.freebird Amazing! Thanks for the detailed explanation. I wish you all the best for your upcoming journeys and for your channel! Subscribed!

May is one of the peak months for tourists to visit this region, especially as the temperature soar above 40 degrees Celsius in most areas in the plains. Temperatures typically range between 10 to 30 degrees Celsius in May, making it an ideal time to visit these destinations.
