See you in class :)
Summing it up:
CAT -> Typical Indian exams with less flexibility and more stress testing you.
GMAT -> super flexible exam that tests your ability rather than you
Spot on!👍

I liked your video
Hi Madhuri,
I was thinking of applying to ISB and while researching just came across your video and wanted to let you know that CAT exam score is also accepted by a few top business schools in France, Asian Institute of Management (Manila) and Stuart school of business (Illinois) in US. Very limited and not as widely accepted as GMAT. I think IELTS is also needed to apply for these Bschools along with CAT score.
I have a few questions lined up, will go over your videos to get the answers, if not will drop a comment. Thank you.
Hi Shashank -- thanks for the info and all the best for your MBA journey. Hope you have subscribed to my RUclips channel :)
Well explained! Another point is for CAT, freshers as well as experienced people can apply, where aspirants preparing for GMAT are expected to have minimum 2 years of experience, which is also treated as a major factor for GMAT profile.
Not really -- there are many universities across the globe that accept the GMAT score but don't expect you to have any work-ex for MBA. Also, GMAT is just a competitive exam and is independent of work-ex. Work-ex is an important factor of the profile evaluation done by universities, that too only and only if universities expect you to have work-ex.
@@MadhuriVarma yes absolutely. Thanks for clarifying!! 👍
Thanks
Welcome!
Thank you🙂
You're welcome 😊
Hey. The video was amazing. Thanks for ton of information.
I have done my Msc. Biotechnology in 2016 from MU. Planning to do an MBA and i have around 3 years of workex. Should i go for full time MBA course or should i go for an executive course. Please help.
Hi Wasi -- I'm glad you found my video helpful. I'll need to understand your goals and post-MBA plans, along with a few other profile-specific things, before I can suggest anything. Please feel free to book a 30-minute 1:1 consultation with me here: madhurivarma.wordpress.com/contact-madhuri/
well-described!

@@MadhuriVarma done.
Very useful video.🙏
Glad to hear that. Hope you have subscribed to my channel! All the best with you prep :)
Hi Madhuri, thanks for the video. I wanted to know what were your scores on CAT and GMAT. TIA!
Hi Ganesh -- I'm glad the video helped you. Not sure how knowing my scores would help you, but I got an admit from ISB so I think that should give you an idea of the score 🙂 Happy to help with anything specific you need guidance on with respect to your MBA journey. Hope you have subscribed to the channel :)
Mam I have a question that's bothering me..am in confusion right now..
Can I do 2years mba with GMAT in IIM?
Or iims accept only executive MBA (1year) through GMAT ?
Do we have to give IELTS exam also after giving GMAT ?
Hi , just came across your amazing video which clarified my doubts ... I aspire to study from ISB so I went to different coaching institute in Delhi but they said that as the syllabus of GMAT and cat is same you should apply for both.. can u pls give your suggestions for the same... And did you study on your own for CAT and GMAT ?
Hi Jeeya -- I studied on my own for both. The syllabus for both the exams is somewhat similar but the exam structures for both are different. Hence, the preparation for each exam requires a separate practice. Please feel free to book a 30-minute consultation with me at: madhurivarma.wordpress.com/contact-madhuri/
Ma'am, When should we select the colleges we want to apply to abroad before the GMAT exam or after the exam?
And when should we send the application to those colleges before the exam or after? Please guide. Thank You
Hi Rohith -- you can select colleges and apply to them before or after your GMAT, depending on your specific situation. You can refer to this video of mine on how to select colleges: ruclips.net/video/GLHhjYwtVz4/видео.html
and this one on how to write SOPs / essays for your applications: ruclips.net/video/PxcXyEXSYBE/видео.html

Hlo mam
Can we do "1 year" MBA after passing through GMAT exam if we are fresher/no work experience?
Please reply
You cleared the majority of my doubts. Can you make a video on how can you get scholarships and how we can manage fees for the study abroad, it would be really helpful for a middle-income group.

@@MadhuriVarma please make one about ISB scholarships
I am in the final year of my graduation bcom. So i dont have any work experience and i wanted to know if gmat would be suitable in my situation. Hope you could help.
HI Afifa -- It will depend on the course that you want to apply for and the colleges that you'll be applying to. If they have no requirement of workex and need you to take the GMAT, then you should be good. Please check out the websites of the colleges you are interested in and their admission requirements. Hi Madhuri, Thank you so much for video. I have one doubt, lets assume after getting the good GMAT score, I applied and not able to get admission, can I re-apply next year with same GMAT score?
Yes, you can. All the best Abhishek.
Thanks mam, i go for GMAT
Great! All the best 👍
Hi Madhuri, can you please shed some light on the Placement part at ISB, do the students with age profile 30+ get problems while placements or not at all?

@@MadhuriVarma keep making more videos related to cat and omet. My personal request to you is to make one video on profile building as i have been struggling to get internships.
I have a masters degree in chemical engineering with around 1 year work experience. I am planning to do an Mba. Would my technical knowledge of engg be an advantage in post-Mba job interviews?
Depends on what role you want to get into after your MBA. In general, past knowledge almost always comes in handy. If you'd like to discuss anything else in detail, please feel free to book a 30-min 1:1 consultation with me here: madhurivarma.wordpress.com/contact-madhuri/
Hi.
Ma'am I have one question regarding GMAT as I am a fresher can I get a top colleges outside India such harward, LBS etc .
Please fill out this form for seeking my guidance: madhurivarma.wordpress.com/contact-madhuri/
Do the iims and xlri consider only the qa and va score for admission or they consider the ir aws score also?? Please help.
Hi Shreyoshee -- overall GMAT score is based only on your QA & Verbal performance. However, AWA & IR scores are considered separately for overall evaluation. Each college's cut-off / criteria will be different with regards to these scores so I'd recommend that you reach to their respective admission committees to clarify this.
Very nice👍👍👍👍
Thanks 😊
Great points to consider for CAT vs GMAT, Madhuri! I remember you mentoring me when I was going through this confusion and your guidance really help me sort my decision! Thank you so much for your insights! I'm so proud seeing you excelling with this channel! Keep it up! :)
How thoughtful of you to say this, Rutuja! I'm glad I was able to make a positive impact on your academic and career journey! Keep visiting the channel :)
Hi Madhuri, thanks for the video.
Just wanted to ask regarding the work experience required when enrolling ? Can you please provide clarity on how to consider work experience as a factor ?
Hi Vanshaj -- I'm not sure which context you are asking this in. I'll need to understand your background and goals before I can suggest anything. Please feel free to book a 30-minute 1:1 Consultation with me here: madhurivarma.wordpress.com/contact-madhuri/
Ma'am i am in my 1st year of college and doing BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration) want to do MBA from abroad and i have to give GMAT exam , so how i should start preparing from now ? I am an average student, so will the score of class 10, +1, and +2 will play and barrier role in my GMAT test or for admission ?
Hi Priyanshu -- you can start your prep from now, but it's not necessary to do so. Your score will be valid for 5 years from the date of the exam. Acads are not considered for the GMAT exam.

Maam do the CGPA 's or a backlog in an undergraduate course BTech etc have an impact on GMAT score or for that matter on choice of colleges ......
GMAT has nothing to do with your academic scores. You backlogs might become a concern when applying to colleges. If you'd like to discuss this in detail, please write to me here: instagram.com/letsbeprostogether/
Hi madhuri mam i just want to know as if we give cat so academic years and graduation score also counted sois its same with gmat also or not plz reply

Hi Madhuri.... I am 37 years old and have 7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry and 3 years of running my coaching institute and now interested in GMAT's MBA program.

I don't hVe any job experience so should i go for GMAT as colleges require job experience of 4-5 years
You won't be able to apply to colleges that require 4-5yrs of work-ex because you don't have that experience. Aim for colleges that require no workex or 1-2 yrs of workex. If you'd like to discuss this in detail, please reach out to me on Instagram (instagram.com/letsbeprostogether)

Mam with low in acadamics and high in gmat score get into top b school in world
Ive scored 42.2 percent in graduation can I still sit for the GMAT exams? And is there any college who oversees the graduation score and looks for the exam merit instead? What I am trying to ask is can I give the exam with this percentage?

For GMAT, it won't be $40 per year an average, the calc is wrong, it'll be $160

Yes you can. All the best!
Should I take coaching for both or will it be covered under cat
Hi Yeshasvi -- although the underlying concepts of Math & English are common for CAT & GMAT, the exam format is quite different. Applying your knowledge to the different questions requires coaching. You can start with coaching for CAT & apply your learning to GMAT. If things don't work out, then take coaching for GMAT as well. If you'd like to discuss this in detail, please write to me on instagram.com/letsbeprostogether. All the best!

Somewhat. The patterns of both the exams are different, and the syllabus is partially different too.

why such valueable videos are not viral ..?
Thanks Aman! You could share this widely to nudge the process of this video going viral :)
Is studying CAT syllabus enough for giving the GMAT Exam or both have different syllabus

Ma'am which one is best for Differently abled to pursue MBA HR ?
GMAT or CAT
And I haven't studied math from class 8 to 12.
The exams have nothing to do with being differently abled but with the colleges that you want to apply to. Whichever exam is accepted by your preferred colleges is what you need to appear for. All the best👍🏻
@@MadhuriVarma I acknowledge it mam.

Why do people still take CAT when GMAT is obviously much better?
Because of location, financial problems. Whatever scholarship foreign colleges may provide it still needs a good amount of money to settle abroad for the first time.
Where I will bring experiance on gmat😢😢😢
What experience are you referring to?
