    Summing it up:
    CAT -> Typical Indian exams with less flexibility and more stress testing you.
    GMAT -> super flexible exam that tests your ability rather than you

    Hi Madhuri,
    I was thinking of applying to ISB and while researching just came across your video and wanted to let you know that CAT exam score is also accepted by a few top business schools in France, Asian Institute of Management (Manila) and Stuart school of business (Illinois) in US. Very limited and not as widely accepted as GMAT. I think IELTS is also needed to apply for these Bschools along with CAT score.
    I have a few questions lined up, will go over your videos to get the answers, if not will drop a comment. Thank you.

    Well explained! Another point is for CAT, freshers as well as experienced people can apply, where aspirants preparing for GMAT are expected to have minimum 2 years of experience, which is also treated as a major factor for GMAT profile.

    • @MadhuriVarma
      @MadhuriVarma  2 года назад +2

      Not really -- there are many universities across the globe that accept the GMAT score but don't expect you to have any work-ex for MBA. Also, GMAT is just a competitive exam and is independent of work-ex. Work-ex is an important factor of the profile evaluation done by universities, that too only and only if universities expect you to have work-ex.

      Hi Shreyoshee -- overall GMAT score is based only on your QA & Verbal performance. However, AWA & IR scores are considered separately for overall evaluation. Each college's cut-off / criteria will be different with regards to these scores so I'd recommend that you reach to their respective admission committees to clarify this.

      Hi Rupa -- please check MDI's website to confirm the exam they accept. As for the list, it'll depend on the specialization and country you are aiming. Ive scored 42.2 percent in graduation can I still sit for the GMAT exams? And is there any college who oversees the graduation score and looks for the exam merit instead? What I am trying to ask is can I give the exam with this percentage?

    • @MadhuriVarma

      You can appear for GMAT irrespective of your undergrad score. Colleges consider undergrad score and GMAT score, along with various other factors, to decide about your admission. • @MadhuriVarma
      @MadhuriVarma  2 года назад

      Hi Yeshasvi -- although the underlying concepts of Math & English are common for CAT & GMAT, the exam format is quite different. Applying your knowledge to the different questions requires coaching. You can start with coaching for CAT & apply your learning to GMAT. If things don't work out, then take coaching for GMAT as well. If you'd like to discuss this in detail, please write to me on instagram.com/letsbeprostogether. All the best!
