As for the loose cats paw shield on the stand in the spinning weapons room falling off, maybe use a bit of sticky tack to avoid that issue. Love your enthusiasm. Great video!
What a fantastic set. This is what dreams are made of. Mine arrived today...well only half of it. I got box 2 of 2 and not 1 of 2 :( I already reached out to Super 7. I can't wait to display it next to my MOTU Classics Castle Grayskull. This is something I have been waiting to see and set up for decades. Good times :) Thanks for the review. Truly the great enemy of collectors is space. I have to find a good place to set all this up.
@@malcolmar Thanks for watching. I'm sorry to hear that you only got one box. I was worried because I kept seeing notifications saying only one was shipping but was very relieved when they both showed up together. Good luck on getting your big box!
@@botsandbooks5790 Thanks. Just talked to Fed Ex today and they told me the first box was not even shipped out which is strange. Oh well. Just a small hiccup on what will be one of the Holy Grail pieces of my collection.
I can't wait for mine!! what an awesome playset!! One care tip I would give is: Keep it out of sunlight. Sunlight will def. bleach out and discolor the paint and plastic over time.
I collect only motu classics. I was never a huge thundercats fan but have thought about collecting the super7 ultimates figures.. maybe eventually. I do have to say that they have done a great job with this playset and the thunder tank. If I were a thundercats collector I'd be damn happy with these huge things. Great video review. Very much enjoyed it.
That playset looks so amazing! I didn't get it but I watched your unboxing and enjoyed your absolute joy and excitement at unboxing and putting it together! Enjoy!
Thank you for the review. I'm loving mine and I need more characters to fill it up. I need generic Thunderians or Berbils. It's deserving of a 360 display. Putting it up against a wall is an injustice.
What an amazing playset!!! Thanks for this enthusiastic video. I just couldn't pass up on getttng this, I knew Super7 would do a great job with this as I have their Classics Snake Mountain and absolutely love it!! Dont have many Thundercats so I'll use this mainly as a base for my MOTU Masterverse figures.
Thanks for the review. Awesome! Im waiting for mine in the UK. You spoke about the paint but the gun turrets looked like they had scratches to the paintwork, (sorry if i missed it). Were they paint scratches or was it the lighting? Cheers.
It could make for a really cool forced-perspective effect on the main body if someone made bigger paws for the lair that could fit the Thunder tank under.
That is a very great awesome playset to have in a vintage toy collection and this playset is huge and it a lot different from the 1986 ljn thundercats cats lair playset and just last year Mattel just did eturnia for the masters of the universe origins line and that playset is also very big and need a big basement to have the cat's lair playset and enough space to display it and back in 1988 when I was 4 years old I used to have the original thundercats cat's lair playset and I played with it a lot back then and back in 1991 the electronics wore out on it and this playset brings back great memories when I was a little kid growing up and now I'm 40 years old and I do want to go back collecting the vintage ljn thundercats action figures lineup loose figures complete and I'm just getting settled from moving and I'm finishing collecting the vintage wwf ljn wrestling superstars figures collection loose figures and I have the masters of the universe origins figures lineup collection from 4 years ago in my containers and I have the origins castle graysskull still in the box from 4 years ago I nevered opened it up yet and I'm going to open it up later during the week and I still need to get the masters of the universe origins Snake mountain playset and I want to go back and collect the original vintage masters of the universe figures complete collection and now days collecting just cost a lot of money and collecting started going up 5 years ago back in 2020 and I wish I can go back to the early 1990s and 1996 into the early 2000s when collecting was a lot cheaper back then and now i have to start collecting stuff one at a time because it is very expensive to collect the vintage figures and the new ones that are out now and I hope one day toy collecting will get cheaper again and just because toy collecting is expensive it won't stop me at all I have been collecting since 1994 when I was 10 years old so this my favorite thing to do and I like thundercats since I was 2 and 3 years old back in 1986 and I used to have the thundercats bedroom slippers and the sneakers back in 1987 and the thundercats sweat shirt and I watched this cartoon when it aired on wtaf 29 wtxf 29 and that cartoon was on the same station from 1985 to 1991 and used to always watch this cartoon series after coming home from school and this is still one my favorite cartoons from my childhood years and I have the cartoon series on DVD and I'm going to watch it tonight after work and I'm going to watch transformers and g.i.joe I have them on DVD also and I can still say that this playset is the one the greatest that is made and designed and even the 1985 g.ijoe uss flag carrier is still one of Best vintage playsets made also but just too big and large but this cat's lair playset is just fantastic and very cool to have but if I was to get it I would have to make room to display it and I hope one day when I save my money i would like to have this great playset because I'm a big fan of thundercats and I still have to buy the figures and even the vintage ljn thundercats cats figures loose complete collection and I will rebuild my toy collection again it's just going to take time but I can do it and know things are hard and rough these days and shipping is a lot also so great playset to have.
@@MarcusStewart-xy8hr Wow, that was a lot of awesome playset knowledge. Thanks for sharing. Good luck on rebuilding your collection. Unfortunately it's gonna cost a lot more getting the Lair on the second hand market. Good news is Super 7 may be releasing the Thundercats again in the Deluxe edition. Special tip: Keep an eye on Bots and Books for an awesome giveaway very soon!!!!
Too bad Super7 refuses to explain why the door and thundrillium chamber are reversed. Considering the way they have it has 0 steps leading to the actual door. 🥴
@@Choo-Choonesme @Choo-Choonesme I mean perhaps to the simple minded who don't understand the concept of "aesthetics". Considering that if that were the case they would've done it the correct way since stairless entrances aren't aesthetically pleasing. I think the word you're looking for is "functionality" because it appears to be like that so they could keep that stupid spinning chamber feature instead redesigning it properly.

They can just fold in, unless you take them off their hinges, but they're not designed to be completely removed.

Hi, I went back to make sure but my Paw Cannons were fine. Most of it is colored plastic, the display is painted though. Thanks for watching!

Sorry to be a nitpicker but this was my thought as well. Why no steps to the friggin door??? Really a very strange design choice.
I think it needs an extra step piece going up to the door. Easy enough to do if you have a 3d printer.
