Video of New Orleans Katrina damage in November 2005 and what it looks like in May 2009 Video by Stonebridge Videography www.StonebridgeVideography.com
You should make a video for 2016 -- some of the neighborhoods you drove through are gentrifying, others are continuing in their decline -- before the next hurricane comes through because a lot of the remaining buildings today will be utterly destroyed. (LaNina and stronger hurricanes due to global warming)
After Katrina, I will never look at our government the same again. I can honestly say that this country dropped the ball big time. The poor black people of New Orleans payed the biggest price of all. And this coming from someone white. Louisiana took me in and treated me like no other in a time when I needed it the most. I love everyone of you for that and I will NEVER forget you. May God bless all of you. Too all the survivors and rebuilders, you cannot be beaten. New Orleans is living proof.
very well done; just 4 years ago....hmm..cleaner but a city that has a long way to go...Do u know what it means to Miss New Orleans? God bless the city of New Orleans..5*
it's called New Orleans, because there is already a place in France called Orleans, same as new york and new jersey, so they'd need to call it new new Orleans, the tax less bit is funny, Louisianan has some of the largest oil and gas reserves in the US, but all the revenue goes to federal government because it's just off shore, even if they just got a fraction of a % of what they are owed, they could rebuild, damn BP gave more money more quickly that fema did.
It was a cess pool before and is still a cess pool. I have lived across the river from that crap hole all of my life - I went out ONCE to party there. It was disgusting then and it is still disgusting. EVERY restaurant or place to eat has rats running all over in the back. There are better places in Louisiana to spend your hard earned dollars and still have a great time.
What project he was in the magnolia ha ?

wmbpounder you know ZERO. ALL the people of the ENTIRE area suffered!!!!
We are back. We survived. And we will survive anything!
This video really fails to capture the progress that's been made. Things have drastically changed since 2009. Progress from 2005 to 2009 was slow.
Annawan Times progress???? LMAO. The biggest "progress" was Mitch the bitch taking down monuments for his 15 minutes of national fame.
Good point. NOLA started really coming alive around 2012-2015!
Ok the first one is in metairie not new Orleans
Just looks the same to me.
Freddie Pratt yep still a cess pool.

11 years ago jeez I was 3 years old
Go on google maps some places in 2016 that should have been demolished still standing.

diecast jam 😯
diecast jam not true -- the state gets a rather nice cut. As for New Orleans it is a cess pool of thugs, rats and stink.
I'm sorry, but it looks the same but without the garbage...
Takes a long time to build a whole city, let alone rebuild it
@ThePandems I love how he/she is operating the camera while driving too! I was just waiting for him/her to get in a car wreck!
Taco Salad 9 years ago but has 0 likes tuff
Samurai_ Joshua I gave her the first like 10 years later

BIG difference between the two disasters

Thomas Ritter Naw night you just live in a broke ass area. I eat clean food not once seen a rat.
The 9th ward always looked like a hurricane hit. They took their FEMA money and bought cars and Saints Tickets.

Slot of these comments are quite old.

@minecraft8846 That's what I'm thinking. I'm like they just picked up the garbage, that's about it.
I'm sorry :'(
Wow. You're real mature
AMEN... better to be down and out in New Orleans than to be the King of Cleveland or whatever other midwestern wasteland these yokels hail from...
Louisiana....always has been...and likely always will be, a Dump.
