What does that mean for OUT-OF COUNTRY applicants trying to get in for this season?
Applicants outside of the USA are out of country
@DamjanDenoble would a first-time (outside of USA) applicant still be considered for jobs if they should apply now?

Hard to say. It’s the visa that has to be approved before the cap. And many employers file for unnamed visas that they can give to anyone who qualifies. BUT most employers who did this use recruiters, so that’s who you should contact, usually via a job fair.

hi i have a question, i have a visa interview this coming Sept. 12 (h2b visa) here in the philippines, i dont have the i797b form yet, is it okay to go to an interview even though i dont have it.?
i only know my petition number and check on the case status.and its approved last aug 30, 2024.,
No. You need the 797z
You need the 797. And it needs to be a copy of the employees original 797B. It should come in the mail soon for the Employer.
thank you sir, we are just waiting for the 797 to be mailed..i only get visa interviews because my start date in my work is oct 1, as a rehired h2b
