  • Is it possible to get around Budapest in 1 day and see all the most popular places without dying?
Hello! I'm Vadim! A year ago I moved to Budapest with my wife and two sons.
In this video I will show and tell you how I managed to develop a route that will allow you to get around Budapest in a day, get the most out of this city and take a bunch of memorable photos and videos from the best places in this incredible city in the center of Europe. Go.
This Route will consist of 5 large locations and transitions between them, which will be no less exciting.
    ---
And the first location that I recommend starting with and doing it early in the morning, like I do at 8 am, is Gellert Hill. Gellert's Hill is a 235 m high mountain with a view of the entire city and the Danube. The mountain was named after Gerard of Hungary, a Catholic saint and educator of Hungary who was killed by pagans.
1.1 The first point in our location is the Monument to St. Gellert.
1.2 The second point of our location is the Sculptures of “Prince of Buda and Princess of Pest” and “Philosophical Garden”.
1.3 The third point of our first location is the Citadel.
1.4 The fourth point, it’s better to call the points these are observation platforms.
1.5 The fifth and final point in this location is the Church of Our Lady of the Rock and the Monument to St. Stephen and then the Monument to St. Stephen - the first Hungarian king of the Arpad dynasty, who accepted the crown from the hands of the papal legate.
    ---
Next, as promised, is an exciting transition to the next location. And this transition will be the Freedom Bridge, which will lead us to the next location, a place where we can take a breath, relax and try local cuisine.
The Freedom Bridge in Budapest is the most striking landmark of the Hungarian capital, located literally at the entrance to the famous Gellert Hotel and Baths. On the other side of the bridge there is another interesting place - the Budapest Central Market. The bridge is especially beautiful in the evening, when the green illumination lights up. The Sabacsag Bridge (as it sounds in Hungarian) is one of nine bridges over the Danube, connecting the historical territories of Pest and Buda. Being the third road bridge in the capital, it is also called the shortest in Budapest.
    ---
    2. 1 The central market of the city, which enjoys great attention from residents and guests of the Hungarian capital. The market is notable only for the fact that the building, built at the end of the 19th century, is a unique work of architectural art. And here you can buy the freshest farm products, delicacies of Hungarian cuisine, souvenirs and many other necessary goods every day. *The Central Market is the food mecca of Budapest.*
    ---
After a hearty lunch, I suggest you go to the second location, where you can get there by tram number 2.2B or 23, which will take you along the Danube all the way to the Parliament. But I also recommend that you walk at least the second half of the route after the Erzsebet Bridge. You will not only enjoy the views on the left of Buda across the Danube, where you will again see Gellert Hill, the Royal Palace and the Fisherman's Bastion, but you will walk along the embankment along with tourists and local residents. Also along the way you will meet the Church of the Virgin Mary in Budapest, the Statue of Sándor Petőfi, *Sculpture “Girl with a Dog”, Monument to the painter Ignac Roskovich, etc. And if you turn to the right, you can see St. Stephen's Basilica, which you can see in our video about Christmas, where the most central fair usually takes place.*
    ---
3.1 And so, the third location is the Hungarian Parliament building.
3.2 The second point of the third location is the shoes on the Danube embankment.
    ---
From here it’s time to go towards another transition between locations and this will be the Chain Bridge. *THE SYMBOL OF BUDAPEST IS THE SZECZENYY CHAIN BRIDGE.*
    ---
4.1 The fourth location is the royal palace
4.2 and the extreme location in this route is, of course, Fisherman’s Bastion.
    ---
5.1 Only in the city center the most famous are the Lukács, Rudas, Gellert baths and if you ask my recommendation, then of course it will be the Szechenyi Bath.
    ---
Thank you to everyone who watched this video to the end. Like or dislike, write comments. Thanks for your feedback!
