Thank you for the great review, you're so right, the Viper Turn is something special. I got the poplar wood handle version. It arrived today, and wow what a knife. I can't stop looking at it! The poplar wood scales are gorgeous. The fit and finish is so impeccably good, and the blade has the sharpest factory edge I've ever felt. I think it's one of the finest crafted and built knives you can possibly get at this price point, and I couldn't be more thrilled with this purchase.

I really wanted this knife in the original red lava CF and then the Ramshorn. The micartas came with this deep carry clip, while the naturals with a pocket slip. I missed the red lava CF I wanted and the beautiful Ramshorn so got the walnut with pocket slip. The walnut is pretty, but not spectacular, still its become one of my favorite knives, and workmanship is outstanding. Really like this green micarta variant, thanks for sharing! 👍
P.S. I can almost see light etching on your micarta, but IMO it would ruin mine, not matching the smooth wood at all.
BTW, simichrome polish would take that scratch out in 15 seconds.
The red lava version is one of my favorites as well.

Have you worked on this knife yet? I'm wondering what it looks like disassembled, or if there's any surprise permanent pins or something weird (lionsteel does this). I'm looking at customizing one too, but there's not much about it on the web.
I've disassembled it before to clean it and it's a pretty simple design, nothing weird. I'll do a disassembly video soon🙂 I'd love to see what you create!

Just my preference, acid etching the blade would “ruin” the overall gorgeous almost mirror polished aesthetics of the knife but that's just my preference 😅
