This is all about the feel and groove which you absolutely nailed. Some kid shredding can play these notes, at this speed and accuracy, but it’s the ghost notes and human authenticity that makes this stand out. This is a guitarist’s guitarists performance.
Notes are always insanely clear with Stevie’s songs, stuff ain’t easy man I love it. More stevie!
Stevie would be proud. Still jammin his song doing it justice like no other showing a new generation of listeners who didn't experience his era what he was all about.

Nobody does it better than Corey! I loved to play this in high school on electric, but never imagined it on acoustic. Well Corey's SRVs are as others here have stated here, amazing.
I saw SRV perform in a small venue in Danville Illinois, late 80s. SRVs hands were loaded in rings like a boxer, and his threads were more flashy than Prince. And he was drug free, clean. Amazing show.
We lost a treasure that night in Alpine, WI. Always wonder what SRV would be like thru these years.
