Oh shit, I can’t wait. I love listening to you guys. I’ve listened to every single epidosode but then it felt so empty when it finished so I started over from the beginning again😂
Monster hunter should adopt the method of having monsters drop random deco bases, then using the base and monster materials gained you craft a deco you want. Monsters would have a low chance to drop a deco base and all monsters could drop any deco base. Some monsters could then have a better chance of getting a specific base. This way there's still RNG grind but it's not impossible to get that 1 deco your missing.
In addition, i would love it if charms gave unique buffs unrelated to decoand armor power ups. So a charm could give health steal like the augment in world end game that was overpowered until iceborne came out where they nerfed it or other unique/ similar power ups.
Having the gathering hub be your house is something I've wanted pretty much since they introduced the customizable Iceborne house. It just seems like the next logical evolution of the concept. The way World/Iceborne handled tracking was the best. It was just enough to be engaging when you want to hunt a monster, but not be annoying when you want to hunt the same monster multiple times. Adding more benefits to Well Done Steaks was sorely needed. I still feel they could have done something more with them, such as making steaks with glazing or spices which gave certain buffs for a period of time, such as nulberry glaze to resist blights, or a honey glaze to give you Recovery Speed (heal red health faster) for a few minutes. Or just bring back chilled and spicy steaks from MH4U where it also gives you the effect of a cold or hot drink respectively.
The customizable gathering hub idea is something I have been asking for and really want!! Being able to make and customize your room and having the skeletons of each monster that you have encountered and having trophies mounted or whatever you want for your place! Really hope Capcom takes that into consideration
Capcom could have salvaged the RNG charm situation by making them upgradable. Once you get a charm it could have 2-3 levels to upgrade them using anomaly materials.
I don’t really care whether it’s RNG decos or RNG charms, I just want to play the game. I like hunting monsters, and I’ve been doing it for long enough that I have enough intrinsic skill I don’t need an optimized build to clear any content. But I can understand both sides. The people who prefer RNG charms don’t prefer it because they want some god charm over a craftable 1 skill charm. They prefer it because there are certain skills (bow charge plus, capacity boost, spare shot, etc) without which certain weapons feel a lot worse to play. Nobody really cares about one missing point of attack boost, or having to fill a level 4 slot with a lvl 2 crit boost deco because they don’t have a crit boost/another good skills deco. On the other hand, a single charm can be the equivalent of around six or more decorations, and there is a lot more variance in the potential results than when you roll decos. The probability distribution of RNG charms is pretty abysmal if you’re aiming for that top 1%, several standard deviations above the mean.
Yeah totally needing a charm with specific skills and at minimum 2 2 slots or a build won't work at all is totally better than missing a few lvls of attack up, from random decos. Clown 😀
on the poll I said "why not have both be rng" but I wanna expand on that and lets have it so that we can both get random decorations and also be able to craft them and base the decoration skill on what monster closely represents them (i think one or either of you guys said this in this podcast later on) as for the randomness in the charms, just like decorations made from the monster representing them. It would be nice to have a charm with the skill based on the monster and have a random skill with it (kind of like how rise did it with some charms but we should be able to level the skill that we specifically made the charm for and not the random skill with it)(bc I feel like thats what risebreak was missing with the charms). for seikret mount sharpening, since its considered a small/medium monster, it would be cool if when we're in combat theres like a chance to mess up a sharpen and it decreases our sharpness gauge for one stroke (since the whetstone now sharpens per stroke) to make it sort of balance and it makes sense since what we're riding is a living thing and its scared shitless in front of a big monster that can easily take it down. we can maybe add a sort minigame where we do a qte if we want to sharpen while mounted to guarantee successful sharpening and perhaps also make it so that max speed sharpener makes us master speed sharpener and make it so that theres no drawback to sharpening while mounted (perhaps incentivizing us the get the skill and not just lug around a great whetfish bc like why invest a skill on something you can just use an item that does the same thing and maybe even better for just a single item slot). of course outside of combat the monster is all chill and everything so there shouldnt be any penalties to sharpening while mounted on seikret. I agree with having only a certain amount of maxed skills per build like maybe 3 to 6 but having them maxed out would have to be meaningful, just like i said earlier having max speed sharpening gives us the ability to have perfect sharpening while mounted along with having what speed sharpening already gives us from the past few installments of the game now. I've got more things in mind, like reworking some specific skills. for example, diving blessing should have a gauge that guarantees proc based of how many times we've been hit and how hard. Or because paintball exists, the map should only show us where the monster tends to be in and when we paintball them, thats when we get their icon and their exact location. But I'll take all day if I were to list them all so thats all folks
Again, a lot of people confuse the means of acquisiton VS the item being RNG. I'm 100% sure some people prefer decos because of how they were acquired, that is, at the end of the quest, no extra steps required. The thing is, the exact same thing existed before world, charms were revealed at the end of the quest. Basically, RNG charms being given out at the end of quests (just like pre world) would satisfy both parties.
Why I prefer RNG decos: 1. Feels like a more continuous upgrade process. You are always getting decos and they always open up new possible combinations. With talismans once you have something pretty good it might be a very long time before you get anything better. 2. So much less sorting through garbage. Sure there are common decos you will get a lot of but they're ultimately all the same kind of deco and they can just stack (and then be spent at the melder, etc.). Talismans are more unique but that means you have to actually look at each one and figure out if it might be good or not. 3. There's more flexibility to this system that I think a lot of people give it credit for. Whenever I hear somebody say they will be missing half the skills they want without decos or something I wonder if they just completely ignore the existence of alpha sets or what. I felt like you could always make something work. People are too obsessed with making something identical to what they see meta guides use. My only real issue with RNG decos: Very specific single deco skills that are rare but feel necessary for certain weapons. I'm talking about stuff like bow charge+, magazine jewel, guard up, etc. They don't really fit into the normal feel of the deco system. They're super important and you either have them or you don't. If they're going to keep having these kinds of decos then I would be fine if they made just these types of decos craftable.
I have to disagree since crafting Decos is the true continuous upgrade process where you slowly but surely gather monster materials to craft the decos on your shopping list, and it's a thing that you continue doing until endgame with a clear goal once you've crafted everything. Meanwhile, if the RNG is on charms, you can end up getting a good one early and don't have to think about it again until a big update where they added better charm options. And if you argue that you never get good ones, that doesn't work anymore with the latest melding method in Sunbreak
I like having Meta gear. But i dont like it being so easy to get in like two or three hunts. Meta gear should require meta levels of difficulty to obtain. Imo.
also armor pieces should just show what they can roll but when u craft them there is 40% chance for each point to actually appear on that piece xd also RNG dmg number roll on weapons so it can be in range of 25% lower or 25% higher than shown this is the true endgame lmao
Rng Decos gives us the endless grind which is gave a lot of motivation to keep playing compared to Rise. Biggest negative though was not being able to craft meta builds due to lack of charms.
I dont see the problem with sharpening on the dog/bird. In the old days, we just switched areas. Behind that quick load screen we were also 100% safe, could sharpen and buff to our heart's content, and the monster could do nothing about it. Now we do the same thing, but with the ability to return to the fight a bit faster since we're still there.
I get the relation ruri wants to establish with Aiden being a guild knight and all it implies, but I don't think ALL guild knights take care of all the shady stuff, probably only the trusted ones or senior ones that have worked for the guild for quite a while and have slowly gotten into the more shady parts of the guild, so I really doubt Aiden would be tasked with such things, not that he would do them, he seems like a pretty good guy. And although he can be clumsy or oblivious to certain things, he's only an average hunter compared to our character, but his hard work has gotten him a place next to us in the fatalis quest and he even has elder dragon g rank gear, which lore wise, it's something that only a few hunters in the world can actually achieve, even the huntsman, only has rathian g rank gear, even if he has faced and hunted elders, he was ultimately bested by teostra, while Aiden finally became strong enough to beat kushala and even face fatalis, even if he's nowhere near challenging black dragons
Ruri, what do you mean about Vaal being "created' in the Rotten Vale? Do you mean that it came to life by pure life force or it was a different Elder Dragon that adapted to the Vale and became Vaal Hazak?
I ran Dragons dogma two on my Xbox series S with few issues. I think I’ll be fine for Wilds. To be fair I’m not someone who cares about full optimization but that’s just me.
Ruri talking about npc hunters not adding to the faint counter cause they are not as good as actual players hits different after watching him do those kulve hunts on stream earlier 😂
51:41 This is not the same. most people don't even need god-level deco, all we need is to craft base deco to fulfill all the skill tax first. Deco enables you to broaden your armor choice. We are not talking about 2000 hours into the game but most likely 30-50 hours into the game like most people time spend into a games.
Man I dreamed that kecha-wacha came back and then in my dream I woke up and realized it wasn't true and then ruri kept talking in the podcast about some crazy hard side quest and other super non-casual things that would never happen again in mh 😢
You guys got me thinking about how would it be if Crit % increase meant that both you and your target get that % crit chance; as if it was a berserker skill. All risk.
people keep saying where wilds is not WHEN its set, the airship in world could be the actual prototype for all current airships from the past and wilds is the future, its possible.
I rolled a 3 attack 1 2slot deco in base rise, which is a god charm at the time but the 2 weapons i mained didn't need it x.x so it was worthless to me(i made a greatsword build just to use it) i never got another god charm till the final update in Sunbreak where they made it super easy to get broken charms...
Lore? I got some lore for you, straight from my brain. You know what destroyed the Ancient Civilization? Valstrax. Yeah, that's right, I mean think about it. Why would an animal evolve to have super speed and wings that shoot fricking missiles? The answer is simple: In order to destroy an invading species that has access to advanced technology and is way too arrogant for their own good. Mfs built a tower from Elder Dragon scales and they weren't gonna stop there. Evolution in the MH universe happens way faster than in our own so Valstrax evolving specifically to wipe out the humans makes perfect sense to me.
I spent so long trying to get the Guard Up decoration since it's also basically essential for playing Lance (the ability to just meld it was only added later in a patch). Eventually I just said "F it" and downloaded a "mod" that lets you buy decorations at a vendor. Bought the Guard Up deco, removed the mod. For essential decos like that, I see no problem with it. Forcing me to play with a crippled weapon for hours because of bad RNG is not fun.
3 bloodlust 3 evade extender, one 4 slot, two 3 slots is my charm on sunbreak. Got it after i finshed the grind to A300. I never got better during my time spent doing the special investigations. On World ive gotten every deco by the 2300 hour mark. My second aigitator+ and third Bolt+ were the last decos i needed and it took 400 hours to get them from the moment i got my third last deco. Suffice to say i dont like either system. Id rather craft both.
I would have liked RNG talisman if it wasn't as tedious as what I experienced in Rise. Select what kind of melding, pay mats, do it 5x, go to quest then wait for them to finish melding. Tedious, time consuming and resource intensive. Not to mention you only get a few of them while RNG decos you get plenty every single hunt. My only problem with RNG decos are the rare single deco for specific weapons like bow+ and magazine jewel.
"discussing" opinions on the internet is bad for my health. After being threatened by a stranger, and having a miserable time, decorations are still RNG and nothing has changed.
The RNG War was happenjng before Ruri's poll, i was there. It happened when a screenshot of MH Wilds sparked the idea that RNG Decos wpuld return (its not been confirmed as of saying this) And like all things on MH Twitter, it spirals out of control and you have people saying the most ridiculous shit
I prefer charms just based on the progression in the game, I could care less about min maxing. I never have to worry about getting mighty bow or guard up, these are important weapon defining decorations for certain weapon types. So it goes deeper, i think. Depending on the weapon you play and if you prefer min maxing, people can have a different feeling about this topic. Although I do prefer charms, I did see with a later update(most likely the last update) that worldborne did add being able to meld these decos in the game. So maybe Capcom is aware and made things better on the deco side of things, time will tell.
I'd like to be able to craft both. I just don't have time to grind anymore. If it takes too long, i'll just cheat it in. The rng in these games is infuriating.
Historically, I'd say about a month before the games release date. So end of January is probably a safe bet on when the demo will come out. Some have theorized that they'll announced the demo at the Game Awards, which I could see as they'll probably have some kind of new trailer to show off by then (so they might give us a head's up about the demo at the same time). If they don't announce the demo then I could see them doing it shortly after new years.
I prefer RNG decos because they were passively obtained rather than spending tons of time in menus trying to filter out the ones I want to keep, and talking to the NPC constantly and breaking down my parts to keep the crafting going... I just want to hunt and have the decos pop up. Don't waste my time in menus.
RNG Decos- Go hunt monsters. Eventually you'll have everything. RNG Charms- Go mine/meld and spend hours manually sorting the wheat from the chaff. You'll NEVER be finished.
RDR2 needs A monster hunter Up grade i wood like swing A machete On Big beast In Rdr2 rockstar games can do a lot from Japanese games in creation or game programming I would like to wrestle a bowl like it like in a real rodeo
"If you can settle for a lesser charm you can settle for lesser decorations." Except that getting a charm that has only half the skills you need gives you 2 maybe 3 skill-points less, only getting half the decorations you need means about a quarter of your build is missing.
except in WORLD, you can build a functional mix sets without needing good DECORATIONS, there's a reason why BETA and ALPHA sets exist in the game as those RNG decorations are just luxuries you get as bonuses for completing quests. the RNG charms on the other hand are tedious and grindy, trying to build a mix set in RISE without a good Charm is like fighting a bear with one arm tied behind my back. the only good argument with RNG charms is the sunbreak anomaly investigations END GAME which you can craft charms with higher chance of good RNG skills.
@@chito2701World Iceborne idea of mixing matching sets that depends on your available decos and your option of alpha and beta is INSANE... Making a set is the fun part..
I think the performance of Wilds should be the main topic of discussion. We all know that Capcom will deliver what we expect in regards to gameplay and systems. I have little hope that Wilds will run at 60fps regardless of settings on anything but a 5$k+ Pc .Remnant 2 is an amazing game and I hope the Space Marine 2 team copies everything they are doing. Also, Remnant 2 runs amazing on all manner of PCs and platforms. Yet, we are all going to be cool with Wilds running like dog dodoo. There will be no steady 60 fps version of Wilds on release and I doubt there will be for another 2-3 years. I Don't think I am out of line saying that should be unexceptable in 2024. The community should demand better.
Would it be nice if the game ran perfectly? Sure. Am I gonna but hundreds and hundreds of hours into the game if it runs like crap? Yep. Dragon's Dogma 2's performance is all over the place but it's still my GOTY. Bad performance sucks but it doesn't ruin a game for me personally. The only exceptions would be some fast paced games like DMC where high framerates are much more important in order for the game to function properly. MH is still pretty slow compared to other games so it's not like the gameplay is gonna suffer from low fps, it's just not gonna be as nice to look at.
@4minutesavedme keep hotboxin the copium brother Look at something like GTA5 and RDr2. Stop making excuses for poor performance in open world games. Monster Hunter games aren't even open world by those games standards and they should be at this point, and still to this day have worse performance even using smaller maps!
I can't imagine they would put Arkveld (flagship for Wilds) in the demo. Having it in the demo would just ruin a lot I think. Topics: Deco vs charm rng: I follow A twitch stream who has 6500 hours (no joke) on MH world and around 3k on Rise and here is the truth: Realisticly you can always like what ya like, and not like what you don't like, however mathematically it has been proven with math, with research, with proven statistics that rng decos are far better in terms of rng rates and rarity. Within that amount of time he never got those crazy charms in rise/SB. It has been proven. Again you can like you like that is the truth though. And to be honest all we saw where symbols that looked gems, this could mean everything and nothing on that has been confirmed, so maybe with this being MH6 and the newest main line title we could get a new system all together? We will have to wait and see once we all get to that point in the main game and see what endgame is like to really see what its all about and see how it is. Until after February we just are not going to know. You can like deco rng, you can like charm rng. And thats ok because every person has their own preferences. That's the reality of that and I know Rurikhan understands that. A lot of people don't though and want to be toxic about it. PC specs: DD2 was indeed a shit show for specs and optimization for pc, and a lot of people are worried and I understand that entirely. However I think the dev team know what they're doing. This is also why we need A demo so bad. We need to just test it out. This also has its own variables. Not every persons pc is going to be the same.
The demos for world and iceborne had the flagships and the demos for rise and sunbreak had the flagships its expected but I wouldn't mind if that changed.
@@Thevikingninja117 no it’s not just cause you have multiple monster on the map doesn’t change how they are gonna do the open demo. They are gonna do the same thing they always do which is do one or two demos where one of the quest will be to face the flagship. The more things change the more they stay the same
I'd be happy if no monster from world comes back, except anjanath. Specially pukei, it's so boring... They're just inferior to old world monsters. Blangonga would be a great returning monster
I don't think they're inferior, hell a few of the 5th gen monsters have climbed their way to some of my favourite monsters (and I've been playing since Tri). Though I don't think we'll see many, if any, of the New World monsters in this game, or probably any monster that's already gotten the 5th gen glow up (except Rathalos and most likely Rathian too). As what they've shown so far seems to suggest they're focusing on new monsters and old monster that haven't gotten some spot light in a while. So I could see monsters like Gammoth returning, or even Plesioth (if the devs want to treat the new blood's to a blast from the past).
Oh shit, I can’t wait. I love listening to you guys. I’ve listened to every single epidosode but then it felt so empty when it finished so I started over from the beginning again😂

Where rewards of the hunt of the 4 could go to helping the one to get those rare parts.
As long as there is no charm table charm any day. But decorations is fine
Oi never underestimate my blue chicken legiana.
Stopped playing Bow in World because of never getting bow charge+. Switched to hunting horn and found that it was actually a super fun weapon though.
Rurikhan drank too much of that rise wifu bathwater
3 bloodlust 3 evade extender, one 4 slot, two 3 slots is my charm on sunbreak. Got it after i finshed the grind to A300. I never got better during my time spent doing the special investigations.
On World ive gotten every deco by the 2300 hour mark. My second aigitator+ and third Bolt+ were the last decos i needed and it took 400 hours to get them from the moment i got my third last deco.
Suffice to say i dont like either system. Id rather craft both.
Third agitator+*
So I cheat charms and this one breaks the sanity filter, meaning it's not obtainable.
9:18 There's also mh stories 2 which uses scout flies
LOVE THE ZAHAHAHAHA. Amazing cast again though!!
As long I as don’t have to bloody manually input a melding pot to generate rng, I don’t care if it’s rng deco or charm. It’s a pain in the ass
It would be cool to explore the same locales that mh4U did
"discussing" opinions on the internet is bad for my health.
After being threatened by a stranger, and having a miserable time, decorations are still RNG and nothing has changed.
The RNG War was happenjng before Ruri's poll, i was there.
It happened when a screenshot of MH Wilds sparked the idea that RNG Decos wpuld return (its not been confirmed as of saying this)
And like all things on MH Twitter, it spirals out of control and you have people saying the most ridiculous shit
I didnt finish the preview when i typed this dont say anything whoevers typing that Ruri said it
I prefer charms just based on the progression in the game, I could care less about min maxing. So maybe Capcom is aware and made things better on the deco side of things, time will tell.
thanks
18:10 Dalamadur pack monster confirmed?
About time!
Its harder to build sets if decos are rng, with it being 70% of your builds.
WE ENJOYED THE LORE SO MUCH!!!
I'd like to be able to craft both. I just don't have time to grind anymore. If it takes too long, i'll just cheat it in. The rng in these games is infuriating.
How soon do they do a demo usually before a launch date?
Historically, I'd say about a month before the games release date. So end of January is probably a safe bet on when the demo will come out. Some have theorized that they'll announced the demo at the Game Awards, which I could see as they'll probably have some kind of new trailer to show off by then (so they might give us a head's up about the demo at the same time). If they don't announce the demo then I could see them doing it shortly after new years.
I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with a demo right after game awards
I prefer RNG decos because they were passively obtained rather than spending tons of time in menus trying to filter out the ones I want to keep, and talking to the NPC constantly and breaking down my parts to keep the crafting going...
I just want to hunt and have the decos pop up. Don't waste my time in menus.
RNG Decos- Go hunt monsters. Eventually you'll have everything.
RNG Charms- Go mine/meld and spend hours manually sorting the wheat from the chaff. You'll NEVER be finished.
It's because you've only played world and rise. RNG charms would be obtained passively just like decos in the past
@@dino-t243 I'd still be sorting through a mess if they have a similar number of skills.
Minha teoria é que as árvores são tipo Pau-Brasil e algum inseto se alimenta delas e depois Lala Barina se alimenta deles

When is the next trailer/gameplay for Wilds?
Maybe Paris Game Week
RDR2 needs A monster hunter Up grade i wood like swing A machete On Big beast In Rdr2 rockstar games can do a lot from Japanese games in creation or game programming I would like to wrestle a bowl like it like in a real rodeo
Where is my Monster Hunter dating simulator?
Just play Warcraft warrior tank again already
Im yet to hear a good argument for random charms being better than random decos...
@@TheDragonshunter it's one slot instead of multiple? That's my argument
"If you can settle for a lesser charm you can settle for lesser decorations."
Except that getting a charm that has only half the skills you need gives you 2 maybe 3 skill-points less, only getting half the decorations you need means about a quarter of your build is missing.
except in WORLD, you can build a functional mix sets without needing good DECORATIONS, there's a reason why BETA and ALPHA sets exist in the game as those RNG decorations are just luxuries you get as bonuses for completing quests.
the RNG charms on the other hand are tedious and grindy, trying to build a mix set in RISE without a good Charm is like fighting a bear with one arm tied behind my back.
the only good argument with RNG charms is the sunbreak anomaly investigations END GAME which you can craft charms with higher chance of good RNG skills.
Have you played Wilds or are you just basing this off the specs?
Would it be nice if the game ran perfectly? Sure. Am I gonna but hundreds and hundreds of hours into the game if it runs like crap? Yep. Dragon's Dogma 2's performance is all over the place but it's still my GOTY. Bad performance sucks but it doesn't ruin a game for me personally. The only exceptions would be some fast paced games like DMC where high framerates are much more important in order for the game to function properly. MH is still pretty slow compared to other games so it's not like the gameplay is gonna suffer from low fps, it's just not gonna be as nice to look at.
@4minutesavedme keep hotboxin the copium brother
Look at something like GTA5 and RDr2. Stop making excuses for poor performance in open world games. Monster Hunter games aren't even open world by those games standards and they should be at this point, and still to this day have worse performance even using smaller maps!
@@lordofdarkness4204 Pleaee respond to this when Wilds runs at 30- 45 fps in performance mode on PS5.
They had demos with flagship before because it sells the game.
The demos for world and iceborne had the flagships and the demos for rise and sunbreak had the flagships its expected but I wouldn't mind if that changed.
@@nicholasmarquez3399 this time it is different though. We have a lot of monsters in the demo that was at the events. That is what I mean.
@@nickdiz9512 I know that (for world/ib/rise/sb I am just saying it is different now.
