Sadly, no. The EPA commissioner just said under oath that they will not stop enforcing unconstitutional "rules" and plans to create more. And because nothing at all will happen to them, they will continue to get away with it. SCOTUS struck down bump stock bans, yet my state of Washington still has it banned. And nothing will happen to the lawmakers who enacted it, or those who keep adding unlawful laws going forward.
It isn’t electric euphoria, it is electric idiocracy, and it is a gigantic environmental debacle. Building $100,000 disposable cars, loaded up with chemicals, versus fuel efficient repairable cars that can last a lifetime??? What say you?

We have EVs at the new car dealership where I work. We can’t give the damn things away. They are discounted to net cost plus the $7500 bribe from the government plus 0% for 72 months and no body is even opening the doors to look at them. Then if you work a lease on them the payment is so high because the residual value is so low. (Estimated value at the end of lease) And it’s just not our store. It’s across the brand.

This has been my biggest issue with the Conservative party for decades. I’m all for capitalism and small government. But I have worked hard and paid my taxes for 40 years and all I ask is when I go fishing on my day off the water is clean and the air is breathable. I’m not even talking about climate change. And I don’t have children. But I would think if anyone does they would fight for their childrens right to live on a planet where they can go outside and feel the sun on their face and the wind in their hair. People often assume a person of color is a DEI or Affirmative Action hire because there are so many of them who have been hired or promoted strictly because of these policies. Humans don't have precise control of the climate but bi products of industry and energy generation like CO2 and Methane emitted over a long period of time can and do affect how much terminal radiation is trapped by the atmosphere. Also you really should check who backs most of these anti climate change politicians, usually oil and gas companies who have an incentive to slow the switch to renewables or other alternatives. I am not saying climate policy proposals are perfect but painting climate change as some intricate consparicey to "give investors more money and power" when some of the biggest companies In the world are oil and gas companies is a bit absurd. All politicians at this point are being patrolled by someone the difference with the anti climate politicians is that their views aren't backed by any empirical evidence.

When you release lots of these green house gasses into the air over a period of 50 years there are changes in average temperatures. As a side note most of these politicians pushing anti climate change are supported by big oil companies. Who has incentive to the slow transition to alternative energy generation. Also big oil companies ran massive disinformation campaigns to make it seem like climate change wasn't happening the conspiracy you guys are looking for is right in your face. Please use Google.

@@terrypierce8815 In some ways it does. If Congress passes a vague law that says that people can't dump hazardous liquids in a river and hazardous was defined, yes. EPA could fine you on what they interpret as hazardous but a court can over rule them and make a different interpretation of hazardous.

I drive it more especially on long trips it's most comfortable for long trips and even with charging it's not much difference in drive time either.

The government spends a lot of money, yes. But why attack the EPA on that front? According to Chatgpt, the EPA accounts for 0.19% of all federal spending--barely anything, in other words. She's obviously confusing the "cost of the EPA" with the "economic burden of EPA regulations." In any case, I think the bureaucrats at the EPA know a lot more about the environment than she does, and I don't mean just the high-level bureaucrats. I suspect that the EPA's secretaries and janitors have a better handle on air and water pollution than does Marjorie Taylor Greene, assuming they've been working there for a decade or so. She doesn't seem the least bit interested in pollutants, much less how to regulate them.

Part of her argument is that electric vehicles are too heavy for the raods- they may be heavier than a regular sedan or hatchback but they don't compare to the gigantic trucks and SUVs that fill our road!

In California, EVs outsold ICE cars hands down. Most people want them, it's just that they have been too expensive for most people. Now that costs have been coming down, a lot more people are getting them. I, myself, will as soon as I can. EVs are 1000 times better than ICE cars in every way now. Thanks to Tesla's network of chargers, the anxiety of long-range driving is a thing of the past. Waking up every morning to a full charge that only costs about $5 to top off is awesome! 90% of EV owners charge at home. The only routine maintenance you're ever going to pay for is tire changes; everything else lasts the life of the car.*
