Send me your resume and relevant experience to info@autosmith.net. I look forward to hearing from you!
The story of moving into the new shop last year
• I bought an Abandoned ...
Whoever u hire is going to be VERY lucky! Wish I lived closer😢
Congrats on being busy. Not a bad problem.
Wish I lived closer, and had your qualities you need. I’m just a general mechanic. I do wish you luck and I’m hoping to come see your shop in the future. Would love to meet you, never got a chance to talk with you when myself and my wife met you in Vegas at LS fest. Good luck buddy.
So your LS swap can sit for 8 months in his shop? Don’t get me wrong I love LT, but dudes gotta finish that thing. That’s just bad business. Bang it out over a weekend!
I've been twisting wrenches for nearly 50 years - but the 20hr drive each way would just be too much. :D
I'm kinda jealous that you have a platform like this you've made to recruit people. I have to rely on Indeed. Finding good, qualified techs is the hardest thing I have to do as a shop owner. My project truck has been waiting for me to have time to work on it for 16 yrs now. Good luck!
For a second I thought you might of been the shop I bought my LS heads from. I'm too much of a specialist for your position, but hope you can find the right guy for the job
I would truly consider moving to Colorado to have you as a mentor Lawrence.Ive been wrenching 30 years, come equipped.
I have been watching your youtube videos recently and all of power nation / power block tv from the past and present because I'm doing an LSA Supercharger build on an 02 5.3 Tahoe. Watched all of the COPO vids and decided to watch some more recent videos. Can't believe we both own repair shops with the same name. Mine was named Autosmith because of my last name and also a reference to blacksmiths. Also didn't even google search at that time to see if there were any other shops with the same name. I started my shop Aug 2020. Wish I could make the change to do complete custom work which I do out of my home shop but its hard to turn away general repair for the public. I live in Cape Girardeau, MO. Maybe one day our paths may cross but until then good luck with the new shop! Its definitely taxing to do everything you want and run a full time business.
good luck finding help...i got disabled 2 yrs ago 30 years exp gone...
That's is my problem too. But it's been 3 years now for me.
@@wkjeeping9053 got pneumonia during height of Covid...doc failed to treat in a rush for thanksgiving vacation so after i pleaded for a breathing test he never called with results or called in meds ...chest cavity 60% full of fluid...ending up with me in ER for Thanksgiving an weight gain of over 60lbs in water to body chest...too much an kidneys shut down.....do dialysis 3 times a week 4 hours a session now to survive an I hate every minute
Colorado Springs is awesome! I live here too. Very cool! Good luck with the hire!
if I didn’t have a family settle down where we’re at, I would’ve definitely sent in my résumé I graduated Wesvalley occupational center for an automotive, domestic automotive in engine, overhaul, brakes and alignment paint and body been doing it all my life my last job I was a firetruck technician from A-to-Z pumps, ladder and mechanical brakes HVAC they close their service shop. I opened up a small shop at my house since I had built me a shop two years prior. Who knows maybe one day.
Good luck! Hope you find a great team member.
Yep I would 100% agree sounds very nice.
I only wish man! You are living my dream!! No other way to say it
I wish i lived closer but congrats on the business doing great and good luck in the future

I sent you guys an email long ago haven’t heard back.
Weren’t qualified
Wish you were still in Utah. I’d be there!
I wished that I lived closer to you cause I would love to work for you
“Alright. Listen, I’ll tell you what I’ll do. I’ll come down with my tools tomorrow. I start work tomorrow.”
I am great at diagnosis. 😊
I'd move there just to work with you
You'll make way more money doing general repair than custom work. Hopefully your gp on labor is atleast 72-75% and parts are 50% Keep up the good work
Is he innit for money, or happiness. Caus new cars never made a tech happy
Good help is hard to find these days.
I can attest to this, and it’s mainly because the pay isn’t good and always sadly turns out people are now all of a sudden “over qualified”🤦🏻♂️
Do you have a telecommute option?
I’ve been out of the loop, but did you leave powernation or horsepower tv or whatever they are calling it now?
I'm in south Florida, want to move to Utah.
But plans bring me to north Carolina.
At a dealer- 12yrs.
Do apprentice level shop techs need to be ASE certified or in school?
ASE certified only means they took a test .
Email sent!
Briargate, voyager area?
Having more work than you can handle is a pretty high class problem to have. Glad you're doing so well.
How much do you think the youtube channel and/or your TV experience has contributed to so much business coming your way?
When u start doing customs exclusively lmk I'm an hour away
You signed on to do the Jeep.....so FIX THE JEEP
i sent it to someone in the springs
If only you were still in Utah
Hey buddy. Can you make me a passenger side bracket for an awd swap into a 89 k1500?
Me too I need one 94 blazer full size
Buy my 2007 gmc delali truck
L92 150k miles. But I need top $. I’m in Denver.
What happened to the other guy that was there?
If Texas really does secede, I'll be looking to relocate. I've got 26 years experience. Mostly in coach working on diesel and natural gas. I got my associates degree from Universal Technical Institute in 1997.
I got a 6.2L/6L90….
How, exactly, was the “shop” abandoned? You paid somebody before you moved your junk in… either the bank or some other “owner.” 🤷♂️
Too bad your so far away I'm in pay .if the pay was right id leave my job at mack 18 years exp was a ase master but let them all go
OK, what happened to Nick and I also thought you had another guy as well.
I’m pretty sure Nick quit.
I wish I was younger
Ford content?
Why? He's been an LS guy his whole career
Hire me and train me please. I’ve been learning to tune and can turn a wrench.
@2:18
LT, I spoke to you about LS Swapping my Tacoma, ended up taking it to TX. Well it’s completed, looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING just like it was installed by the factory other than the cone style air filter. I go to pick it up on the 10th. of Feb. Sadly the gentleman I hired doesn’t do TiG welding for the 304 Stainless exhaust system. I spoke to you about maybe welding an exhaust but looks like you don’t have time. Oh, non of my Damn Business but I would be upset if I owned the Jeep… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Good luck buddy and my apologies.
1-Does the candidates need to have ase certification? 2-Does the candidate need on camera experience?
Too far away
