omg... I love Sarah. She is so kind but also doesn't lie and doesn't beat about the bush; tells it like it is with grace and a smile. Wow. I could learn from the way she handles people.

I loved the foursome who went in on the small house together. Wow. They really worked well together despite the holiday in the middle... Bravi!! That was lovely to see.

Would love to have the two mates as my Chippendales dancers, but as builders....yikes! 3 offers gone wrong, guessing the buyers were smart enough to have a survey.

It's a relief to watch an episode in which the developers actually heed Sarah's advice. Although...no glass dining room table but a glass coffee table? In any event, good show.

I liked this episode a lot. Spoiler. The boys were hot but not well suited to property development. I have to give them props they had a small budget and very little profit potential so I was glad they did they did not overspend much. I always thought their budget and profit margin was better suited to a rental property then to flip. The other group of Four friends, I think would have failed if not for Sarah's advice but they were smart and followed that advice. The four friends were also likeable so I was hoping they did well. No one in this episode seemed greedy or hopeless.

The fact that these newbie developers don't listen, heed experienced advice or do any due diligence before both buying the houses and beginning the renovations really shows how little they really know about what they're doing and how much they unwittlingly jeopardize their finances. It always amazes me that they decide what profit they want to make whether or not it actually correlates to they quality of their design, workmanship or surrounding market.

In fairness the foursome took on all of Sarah’s ideas. Their home was finished to a high standard which is more the reason it went over budget.

    • @paulsheridan1

A newbie builder, skipping today's readily available self-education (Internet, or via friends in different trades), was bound to deliver sloppy workmanship.
It all costs dearly in not only a much reduced profit margin for the developers, but significantly for the future buyers' own time, in correcting every bodge job.

The shoddy workmanship on the terrace flat... I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole. WHO does that kind of work and thinks it's alright? I HOPE they never do another one. I wouldn't want anything built by them.

Her insult of the front of the house at this exact moment shows the house next door is a twin. Personally, I like the look of the front. It has an almost Mondrian appearance, and when I first saw it I screenshot it and tried using my in-mobile Adobè to play with that idea. Looked pretty gol-dern fantastic to Me.
Besides, calling a decade-specific build ‘dated’ is moronic.

The problem is that most if the houses on the show need a lot of work, and can't be lived in as is, so the houses would sit empty and make no money while the owners pay for their mortgage, utilities and taxes. That's not a good investment, lol.

.. she does seem to help a couple of them in some of the design selection process thingy.... having said that - she does appear to be trying to make the proeprty market appear more complicated or challenging than it acrtually is... i shall explain... there is development of skills and there is occassioanlyl soem knowledge to be accrued in life.... working to an industry standard should not be such an alien concept or a mythology for too much of your life.... of you might just be.... i dont know what...... however - Interior decorating.... architectural design.... Interior desgin and other of those areas.. do have some elements that can be applied in a proffesion or craft or atisanship ness... having said a bit of that.... trends do shift and have a tendency to transition over time... so thus it can be a challenge to make a resolution to what a personage may fancy - and pay for..... in a renovaiton.... a selection of a decent designer could be a scenario for criteeria - but a person never knows.....their tastes or inclinations and stuff...

@@cappsginny699 gargled? Oddly, though you probably mis-typed "garbled', 'gargled' just about describes the clarity of that comment. The moment you read 'I shall explain,' expect pompous twaddle. When I see a series of ellipses instead of sensible punctuation, it's a rubbish alert.
