There are quite a few tales, but the most known Greek version is the one in which she was one of Poseidon's lovers who was tricked about where they were meeting each other, so they'd meet at one of Athena's temples because Poseidon was pissed at Athena. Athena then blamed Medusa for it, even though she was unaware of what the place was, and cast her curse. Considering the PJO context, it's more likely that the story used is the Greek one, rather than the Roman one
Isnt there a story that medusa loved athena (not like like type of love) and went to Poseidon for something and ended up getting Sa’d by him and athena found out and cursed medusa? And now thats why the medusa tattoo is the meaning of sa saviours?
