Thank you four gentlemen for the best 67 minutes of football analysis I’ve heard in a long time, you all put some of these ex professional footballers sound bites to shame! As a 67 year old Liverpool supporter, I was gutted when Jurgen could only lead us to one title, when the gentleman deserved much more! But thanks to the club recruiting Arne, hopefully he can manage to give our team enough direction and leadership for the Reds to bring another title to our great club, the greatest fans and some of the greatest players, I’ve seen play in the Red of Liverpool. Thank you, YNWA!
The Liverpool result has a far bigger impact on the title race than the Arsenal one does, so it's amazing to see the media reaction - and the Arsenal reaction - seems to believe the contrary to be true. Yes, Arsenal beat the current Champions 5-1, but that only matches the result we got against them. No net gain there at all. Liverpool beat Bournemouth away ... A game Arsenal lost. a net 3 point gain for Liverpool. That's huge as we approach the end of the season and the fixtures start to even out. It was a huge win.
Yesterday was a real statement win for Arsenal and they’ll never go away in this title race it seems. Just gotta keep winning our games and focus on us & us only.
@@subham_daz it didn't change a thing. It only matched the result LFC got against them. Liverpool beating Bournemouth on the other hand.. now that was a big win.
Statement my arse. They have been exactly the same number of points behind since early December. Was it a statement for Spurs who spanked them 4-0 or United who beat them. 2-1. Arsenal were gifted the goals and the time city put them under pressure they caved just like they did against Villa. People want to go overboard to praise Arsenal yet downplay Liverpool’s achievements. Weird as fuck
Big critic of curtis jones but his contribution to second goal was immense. He started move on edge of his own box and then ran the clappers to get up the pitch to provide assist for salah 16 secs later.
Still bizarre to me he has so many critics, given he’s a squad player and a young one at that. But my word do my eyes deceive me? A Jones critic giving him credit when he does something well?
What a fucking game. I loved every minute of it. Two proper footballing sides going at it full tilt every second - it was Hagler v Hearns on a footy setting. Hats off to both teams and both coaches. Easily the best game this season.
This was a massive win. I thought it was a real acid test, and we passed. Bournemouth have beaten Arsenal and City, and we're flying. It doesn't matter what Arsenal do, it matters what we do. Having seen what Arsenal did to City I think we should look forward to that game. If we can bust the Moyes bounce bubble then the games and challenges are running out. Super Reds!
Tyler Morton was wanted (on loan) at Leverkusen back in August. Wouldn't mind seeing him leave for foreign shores this window or in the summer. Deserves to play in a top 5 league.
Lads, if (IF IF IF) we go on to win the league would yous do some kind of collaboration video with the Redmen TV guys? A big hour or so long video looking back on the big moments of the season etc, think a lot of fans who tune into both channels would love that🙌
Atkinson is the only one in media who actually appreciates Mo's performances. So many people find it fashionable to say he was bad except for scoring or assisting.
Phil so spot on - we've been playing a false nine the whole time. There's been this nonsense narrative from the boomers of the previous 2 generations that you have to have an "out and out number nine" to win the title - which both Guardiola and Klopp proved false. This is exactly why Haaland looks - and is - out of so many games for City as he's not capable of doing the false 9 role he's primarily a play-on-the-shoulder and run in behind number 9. This is what Nunez has been so far in his career also but gets involved in many ways and is capable of a lot more hold up/bringing the wings in, including a lot more assists because of this capability.
Trent was really poor against Kerkez and Semenyo and it was only the support of Konate and Gravers that stopped it becoming embarrassing. When Bradley came on, Kerkez suddenly met someone who was not gonna be intimidated, and met fire with fire, and Semenyo suddenly faced a full back who could tackle and while he was at at it, take a free hit in the process, and he did not like it one little bit. He still needed Graver and Konate to help, but it became a match up where we were on top, whereas with Trent it was a match up where we were hanging on by our fingernails.
Its still in play. But Arsenal still have to play; Forest, Chelsea, us, Bournemouth, Newcastle (& Brentford & Fulham) whist needing to get better results than us in at least 4 games
Listen lads let's not get carried away take each game on its merits and earn the right to get the job done , I hate looking ahead nothing is won looking ahead we just need to keep our nerve we have been doing this dance for while now ....
Our midfield is a sick joke. Mac, Gravers and Szobo just have to be one of, if not the greatest midfield in the world today. Then we have Jones, Endo and Elliott as back up, and each of them would get into many, if not most. Prem first XI's. Then, just to really rub salt into the wound we have Morton, McConnell and Nyoni as our 3rd choices. It really is crazy.
We were sharp going forward, somewhat shaky defensively, Trent did not have a good game from a defensive standpoint. If Kluivert didn't miss a wide open net, could have gotten sketchy for sure. Good side Bournemouth, but we have 3 harder away games this month alone. This was not the title decideder- and no Rob Bournemouth will not be a top 3 European side for years to come, that was silly.
Around this time last year, we lost to Arsenal away. That result put them right back into the title race at the time. It is also helped them get 11 wins in the last 14 games. Looking at their last 14 this season, they all look winnable except Forest away and when they play Us at anfield. If we had a worst case and we drew against: Everton A & H, Citeh, Newcastle, Fulham, Chelsea and Arsenal And If Arsenal won 12, draw 1 game and draw to us, we’d lose the league by 1 point.
That result put them 2 points behind us and we were decimated by injuries toward the end. We are 6 (potentially 9) ahead and have got to play them at home where we can beat anyone. Good win for them yesterday but they hardly played great City just fell to pieces in the last 20 mins or so and they’re shite anyway. Our win was more impressive
I think he was being colourful to be fair haha. I like the comparison to those ‘golden generation’ sides like Monaco 2016, Napoli 2012, Ajax 2019 though and tbh why not? They’re the best team I’ve seen play Liverpool all season imo
Forget thurs and the FA Cup for me. Huge game against the bluesh*te coming up, full of the 'moyes effect', scoring goals and last game at Goodison yada yada. We need to be right on it.
Might work in our favor as I don’t think Dyche’s 11 men behind the ball strategy suits us at all - if they’re in any way more expansive then I would be confident we can get goals
@@RyanBalt I know, that’s what I’m saying. If he were still the manager they’d stick 11 men on the edge of their box and hope to get a goal from a corner and we haven’t been great at breaking that down. If they play a little more under Moyes we might be able to find some space.
talking about the team being better next season...but at this moment our 3 best players won't be here. The longer it goes on the more likely they won't resign. Scary times
Being as the EPL is the most competitive league in the world, i can never agree or understand when any one game can be considered as the possible "title clincher" every game plays a pivotal role in deciding who wins the title. 6 point lead in the EPL is a small cushion and that is all it is, and that small point lead can get wiped off in two games just as quickly in such a competitive league as the EPL is. Trent and Robo are our biggest Achilles heels and Gomez like always injured and Tsamikas seems to made out of weetabix also, get over the line by "hook or crook" but during summer transfer window the RB and LB issues have to be addressed, can't leave such glaring weaknesses in the team to be exploited by every team we face, not fair on the midfielders and CB's who have to carry extra work load due to our LB and RB glaring issues, don't claim Bradley is the answer his good but not as good as being made out by the LFC fanbase.
Just like Everton & United, we can always rely on Sheikhy *not* to perform when them getting a result would do us a favour. That result was 100% about how shit City are now....not about Arsenal laying down a marker!
If Diaz wants more goals. He could do with not constantly halting the momentum of an attack. He gets the ball and constantly slows down and cuts back. When he was scoring at the start of the season he was picking the ball higher up at the corner of the box. Now he’s picking it up again at the half way line. Running then cutting back . Does my head in 😂. Can’t take away his tracking back though
Cup games give us a nice rest till next league game. Hopefully get a big rest for most of the 1st team at weekend as Everton will be a tough nut to crack, not a stadium we like going to for sure, last win was sturridge hitting post in last min & Mane bundling it in. Need some luck to win there!

I think the CF IS EXACTLY a Bobby Firminho role. If we now had peak Bobby instead of Darwin/Diaz/Jota, we would be even further ahead.
Centre forward is not there to put ball in net because we don't have one who can. Slot is using the 9 position this way because he is forced to.
