    Actually Chinese cars are getting better nowadays. I happen to drive changan alsvin in Oman and i feel it's a good car for the money to drive around and also gives a respectable fuel efficiency better than Koreans. They give entire creature comforts with an affordable price. Moreover they have good ride comfort and handling too.. but I'm not sure about the availability or cost of the parts

    China is pushing their Evs because they own more than 80% of lithium mining, extraction, processing. So indirectly they are supporting their own industry as they are saving from crude oil imports. Making an ICE vehicle is 10 times difficult than making an Ev because producing combustion engine is way more difficult to produce than some motor and batteries. That's why there are very less good combustion engine Chinese cars .

      baaki dunia bhi EV ko isliye promote kar rahi hai bcoz usme manufacturing cost kam hai, simple design hai, profits bahut hain, repairing market bhi company k paas reserved hai, assembly me bhi kam log chahiye... pollution wagera to sirf bakchodi hai..EVs r more harmful..and less durable...har 5-7 saal me battery change karwao...
      lithium, neobium, silver, gold, copper, jaise rare or energy intensive metals ka usage, grid load alag se metal consumption increase karega....like steel, aluminium....
      coal se he ana hai ultimately power ko, wo bhi 10 baar transformation k baad....to efficiency kam ho gai...
      sirf monetary profit hai manufacturers ko iske alawa sirf loss he loss hai sabko....

    If one company fails due to bad products or bad market review they come up with a new one. Even Chineze imdividuals do not do business with their own name but with a company name as proxy.     1. None of the chinese car companies are making profit, including byd. BYDs profit is coming from its ice cars.
    2. More than half of the car companies in China went bankrupt including nio. Nio is going to bankrupt again this or next year.
    3. Car wow drag race clearly said it was not model 3 performance.
    4. Tesla's states goal from the beginning is to transition to sustainable energy. For which low price is a must. Tilting screen or redundant screams screens and extra luxury are against their goal itself. They are bringing another low cost car which will be half the price of model 3.
    5. Indian car makers are not given a free hand even now. They dont have enough capital to invest in r&d. Even, they are not fully a car company they are more like a car assembly company.
    I hope something turns out well, japan and Germany are going to suffer a lot.

    BYD actually wanted to setup a factory in India but government rejected it. It would single handedly take over the EV market from TATA and Mahindra. Our people being more "price" centric rather than nationalistic would buy these cars rather than Indian cars. It wouldnt take much long for BYD to completely dominate the EV space.

      It was a wrong move by government. Letting it come would have started competition and would have forced Indian brands to improve. Same happened in China, when they were lagging behind, they let Tesla in, gave them subsidies which forced other Chinese car makers to improve or die.

    Having more brands doesn't mean it's a good thing what you actually needs for growth is reliable and trustworthy brands
    China uses it's government to threaten companies to not grow more than they should
    Meanwhile in india older brands monopolies industry and won't let any smaller brand grow their image is bound to hit rock bottom if they don't go under such corporations
    2nd indian government doesn't support other brands be it foreign or home settled brands indian government is hoarding the money to become a bigger economy image and giving false hope is not anything new (example being false promises on new career options and job opportunities and equal caste as well as human resources not a single thing has improved except the state of economy) monopoly is good but it won't do any good for collaborative growth which should be any developing nation's goal
    And lastly china shouldn't be compared to any country because it's a huge facade they push cheap products to degrade the market value even further than it already is you can see most it from David Zhang he tells everything about their fake imagery that world believe to be good

      In the US,biden administration has pledged investment of millions of dollars for charging infra
      Electrify America and EV GO is very convinient in my opinion,chinese have invested heavily in r and d,meanwhile indian govt charging 18% gst on car batteries and 5% gst on the car itself
      Indians don't have knowledge,research and have probably never visited us and china and experienced their cars,only thing they know is keep on praising tata(which uses hyundais transmission and fiat engine) and continue with their jingoism

      Yeah, I actually had MIUi China rom installed in my Redmi phone, So, I got access to Weibo, Bilibili, Tik tok China and saw it all.
      Byd does the same and got to know they belong to Chinese Communist Party.
      I used think to China was a developed country way ahead from us, Technology very developed but got to know they suck when it comes to R&D and steal and copy most of the technologies, they have just created an image to fool the world.
      Chinese people look for shortcuts and that's explains the poor infra of China, I used think they had best quality infra until I saw latest videos from Tiktok and Weibo of bridges collapsing, Train crashes how Chinese government buried the whole train with dead bodies to hide the accident and latest one in Shanghai when the Train cabin suddenly broken into two parts and gov. hiding it saying it was because of heavy snowfall when snow wasn't even 1 inch.

      I agree, but saying Indians should support Indian brands is wrong, sure we should support them, but when it comes to buying a car, us Indians go for the value for money option and good after sales service. And we know about our Indian car brands - Mahindra only makes SUVs which a comman man cannot afford and Tata puts noisy, unreliable engines in their car with poor after sales service.

    Fact is if few china car brands enter india with there electric cars. Tata and mahindra could not face them because like tata nexon ev cost like 15-20 lakh and we all know china can make a ev cae with better looks and range at same cost and it can distroy the competition.     Don't demotivate china is working on their industry from past 25 years and, our govt is pushing automobile industry from last 5 years but there are companies like Ashok leyland, mahindra, tata, olectra, Maruti Suzuki, bajaj auto, eicher motors, hero, force, sml, wardwizard, atul auto.
    There above list are major companies, there are more than 100 auto ancillaries companies.

    Few months back I saw a BYD in my city, for reference I have spotted only 2 Hilux and one was probably passing by,(NCR region). I mean BYD came so silently that I had to search for what car it is. I notice every car and it's details BYD was very surprising for me.

    Personally, I think you are talking nonsense. First of all, China's auto market is the largest in the world in 2024. Naturally, there are many brands of contestants, and the competition is fierce. Here, it is not simply to compete with European and American brands, And there is fierce competition among brands in China, so it will naturally upgrade/grow rapidly in this environment.
    Besides, these things you mentioned were 7/8 years ago, and the state support/subsidy was cancelled long ago.

    It will reduce traffic and pollution to a great extent.

Because not long ago another RUclipsr named Anmol Jaiswal (Indian Backpacker) who is on a road trip to Australia, showed in a video that he saw 100s of Chinese electric cars parked in various parking lots on China- Nepal border. It was claimed by locals that most of those cars were parked there for more than 1 year. So it seems like the bit that you said at the end might be true...
