Yes!! They definely deserve being recognized as the most watched shows of the 1970's. I very much enjoyed watching "All In The Family", "Happy Days", and "Lavern and Shirley".There was also another show I liked not mentioned in this "Room 227".I have very fond memories of these programs because those was my teen years growing up.
My favorite All in the Family! Next up The Jeffersons, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, The Brady Bunch,,,so many more!!!! And MASH! Who could forget MASH!!
😃A wonderful time in television history when the whole family would set down together and watch great programs, unlike today because only rubbish is now being shown. CLASSIC CAMEDY IS LONG GONE.....
@@FactsVerse I think they were all great in their own way and in certain dynamics, but I think Harry Morgan as Co. Potter was hilarious, I was also partial to the reoccurring side character of Dr. Sidney Freedman.
I believe Happy days was shown on TV in the UK but I have never seen it, as for the others I have never seen them either, it's possible they were not shown in the UK. Some shows that were popular in the UK in the 1970s, Doctor Who (the Jon Pertwee episodes), The New Avengers, Jason King, The Professionals, Blake's 7, Fawlty Towers, The Two Ronnies, Dempsey and Makepiece, The Sweeney, Dad's Army (it began in 1968 but continued through the 70s until Novemver 1977), Colditz, Callan (it started in 1967 but finished in 1972), Manhunt, Van Der Valk etc.
It’s ironic that so many would look back at the 50s and 60s as an “idyllic and innocent time.” Guess that’s from watching 50s and 60s TV shows and ignoring the real upheaval and violence this country was going through at that time.
Couldn’t really get into most of these shows…with the exception of “60 Minutes,” particularly when Andy Rooney gave his spiel. Man that guy had a way with words!
Charlie's Angels made a cameo appearance on the San Pedro beach bums. I think character actor jack Elam was the star of the show. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
well, I was there and the modern take is cute, but let's go through this. Marcus welby... eh, considering the show medic aired a real birth nothing that new. all in the family... remake of a British sitcom. good cast tho. happy days... dog food. Laverne and Shirley... genuine comic slapstick. milked into oblivion however. 60 minutes... the project Veritas of old media.
I could see where this guy is coming from he's a liberal why is All in the Family Archie Bunker was Politically Incorrect opinion to some people he was nuts and a lot of stuff he said made sense it was a different time then now

I love three’s company and mama’s family golden girls and Roseanne
Love this but Happy Days was on before 1976
I loved Emergency One. When I was a kid wanted to be a paramedic. Just didn't have the smarts to go through the training.
David, you should stuck through the training. You probably would have been a great paramedic. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Couldn’t really get into most of these shows…with the exception of “60 Minutes,” particularly when Andy Rooney gave his spiel. Man that guy had a way with words!
We didn’t have that much to choose from. 😂😂🙄
