If you are still doing Angelina's Christmas songs, you just HAVE to react to Mary's Boy Child on Norwegian radio. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. Just a suggestion. As for those renderings of All I Want For Christmas, especially the first one, just - WOW! Angelina, between the ages of 10 and 12, was just magical.
This is the one Christmas song, the Mariah version, I somehow never tire of. And then Angelina, of course, takes it to another level. I didn't think I would ever prefer a cover over Mariah's original, but here we are: Angelina's versions are even better, to my ears.
I was SO HOPING that Angelina would sing this at her Dec 14 2024 Christmas concert......and it appears that they rehearsed it - it was on the set list at Angelina's feet during the concert, but CROSSED OFF (the only song that was). Aaargh. Who knows why they decided to omit it from the concert. Fingers crossed that she does perform it at some FUTURE Christmas show.
When i watch Angelina i watch her from ages 10 through 17. But have a life, i don't watch her every day, thats kind-a creepy. But outside of that i like her voice now, but i liked it better in her younger years, she didn't force anything like she does now. Now that i'm on a roll, why doesn't she release a cd of the best songs from her cuncerts????? It would sell like crazy. Just a thought.
@@JohnHug-rj2mj I enjoy her now as much as ever, and love seeing her grow and experiment, AND find nothing "forced" about her recent singing style, rather other ways of conveying emotion through song. And I find nothing creepy about listening to her every day - she's a phenomenal artist to many of us, whose performances somehow never get old. Why not listen to and experience soul-stirring, beautiful art as often as possible?

Listening to these videos, especially the first two, I would say something remarkable is how Angelina is not just singing the notes of the melody straight on, but instead is adding countless swerves up and down. And in doing this she demonstrates exceptional taste and musical understanding in what she chooses to do, and remarkable ability in how beautiful she is able to make each swerve sound. In my non-expert opinion, she does this better than any other singer in the world today.
This is typical for Angelina. But here are also other songs like Every Time We Say Good-By where she instead sticks with the notes as written.
How beautiful the art Aron, I feel that Angelina is the most wonderful thing about art in all its forms, it is just my opinion, I feel it that way, she has a unique way of expressing feelings and emotions, straight to the heart, thank you so much Aron, and until next time, Angelina forever

In the first video, did you notice that the guitar player is the same one who played for her on the rooftop during a TV show in Norway?
No I don't think I did notice as that was a while back and I've only listened to 95%+ of my reactions only during the reaction and the editing
No, it was not the same guitar players. The one on the rooftop was Tommy Kristiansen, while the guitar player in all these 3 performances here was Staffan William-Olsson from the group "The Real Thing".

Hello A-aron. It really is unfortunate that despite both the audio and video for the last performance being so poor, it is utterly remarkable that her voice and talent are so supreme that they nevertheless soar above those limitations. It is still completely obvious that she gave a brilliant performance, and I would have given the world to see a formal, professional recording of this.
Sorry, I wrote this at around 4:00 am. I meant to say that it is "fortunate", not "unfortunate", etc.
The third video is from the concert in the church in Skien Dec 18th, 2017. It's a real shame that the sound of the recording isn't that good, because the interior of this church is huge - it was built as a cathedral and has space for 1200 seats, the interior height alone is 17 metres (56 ft) so there's plenty of room for the sound to spread.

What was your source for this? Do you have more dates/locations for the varies videos shared from this concert tour? As so far I was only aware about the one Boris shared, though I am aware of her tour schedule.
Following up my own question, I looked into church pictures of the tour dates, and I think I was able to also identify the Haug, Nedre Eiker, Svelvik, Kongsdelene, Strømsø, and (of course) Lillestrøm churches. I don't think there is a clip form the Moss church. Anyhow, would you know where some of the remaining footage (from the various town/concert halls) came from?

The guy on guitar in these videos, always kind of spoils it for me. In my opinion, he's always got the volume up way too high for any kind of audio balance. I know part of it maybe room acoustics, but it is always that way with him. Angelina seems to try and balance the sound with him, but that takes away a lot of her ability to provide dynamic effect the way she would like to. Angelina is still fantastic.

Aron, the version @capstan50g gave you is my favorite version of this song ever, including the original. I really hope she does a proper recording of this great song sometime in the future because the audio isn't great. Maria sings it in a happy up-beat way, implying she can't wait to party with friends & family. Angelina slows it down & makes it much more emotional, wanting to share love for the holidays with family & friends. To me, it's a whole different take from the original & it's one of my absolute favorite Christmas songs from Angelina.
