Seeing comments from 3-4 years ago telling about their nostalgic stories is really something beautiful. This is a game that has spanned years, giving happiness to millions. It’s connected thousands on the internet, brought total strangers together who’ve become best friends, and given entertainment to so many. Wether it was that one Let’s Play you watched as a kid, or your first house you built in creative mode, we’ve all had our own unique experiences. This is a game that shaped the childhood of so many people. The fact that a single game made by a small company in Sweden can become something so influential and beautiful is amazing. I don’t have any sappy final remark, no story about my best friends who I met on Minecraft, no telling of my first world. All I have is a feeling of contentment. A contentment from the fact that one game has brought joy to so many so far, and joy that will come for so many more years. A game that has survived irrelevancy, and come back Full-Force with nostalgia behind it. The gameplay, the music, everything about this game is perfectly crafted. It’s a beautiful thing. To C418, to Notch, Mojang, all the people who have made videos on this game, thank you. You’ve helped create an experience that nobody can experience any other way. Alright, I’ll stop wasting your time with this giant comment now. Go back to enjoying the music, why don’t ya?
Last night I played an old Minecraft beta, and this song came on. Right at the climax, I found diamonds and cried. Words cannot describe the emotions this man packed into this song
Yeah I have had an experience like that. Minecraft is the game that I grew up playing. I remember seeing DanTDM on youtube and playing the game with this music behind it, Minecraft is only sad to think about becuase you can't experience the past again but you can listen to the music knowing that this is what I heard while playing the game with my friends all those years ago. Its the one thing that can you can experience again unlike the memory's you had with it. And that is why Minecraft is the definition of nostalgia, the game is truly beautiful.
Bro I almost cried dude. This done reminds me of the countless worlds I had with a diamond block house, full diamond, sharpness 1 - 2 sword, among other things. This is probably the most nostalgic thing I’ll ever hear. All the memories. Good or bad, each second of them was precious. Let’s all take a second to thank the Minecraft devs and everyone who helped make it what it is today. This made my childhood, as well as many others, too.
What’s crazy is I cried to this song for someone else’s loss which was my friend he lost his dad to cancer two years ago and I can only imagine why he starts to tear up to this song and it must have been for him remembering his happiness with his dad when they played Minecraft.
My cousin used to live with my siblings and I when I was younger. He was more of a father figure partially for me growing up despite him being 15 and I was around 8 🙏🏾he used to walk me to the school bus stop everyday - despite that making him usually late for his own classes. After school we’d always play Minecraft on the 360 and then go shoot some hoops on court. I miss him I really do. He took his own life in 2022.😕 Fly high Malik 2002-2022🕊️💔
I deleted my first world where me and my dad had a brick castle that probably looked like dogshit but we thought it was so cool and this song reminds me
For some reason Minecraft gives me more overwhelming nostalgia than other games I also religiously played when I was is early Middle School. Me and my beast friend also had a awesome creative world that everyday I would plop down from school and just hop on, laugh, and just meet around with my buddy. Sadly, we moved apart and he stopped hanging out with my friend group. But i can still go on his RUclips channel, six years later, and relive the old days through his shitty 180p Camcorder aimed at the screen. God I love Minecraft.
@@scrapsthepirate Very reasonable. Even though I had forgotten about this, I appreciate your patience and kindness and ask for forgiveness for my lack of obvservational skill.
How bright and loud everything seemed to me as a kid playing this, creating crazy things that to me now looking back on look so small and odd. Nothing will ever and i mean for ever bring back the happiness ive had with minecraft
+EchoSoft - Gaming Content One of the best gaming memories I have is the first timeI played Minecraft. Playing it on a small laptop in a dark room at night and being a total noob at the game. I remember when I built a dirt house and thought it was the best thing ever lol.
+EchoSoft - Gaming Content The small servers erode now, the bigger ones with mini games take over. Microsoft buys the franchise. Markus is unhappy with his millions, the game adds complex and almost un-creative idea's that the mods already did.
@birdmcrandomsux C418 said before, if it is getting claimed it is probably not him. Most of the cases I heard was people posting slightly remixed versions, then copyright striking
This song feels strangely familiar and comforting. Like a distant memory of being rocked back and forth when you were little by your mom so you would go to sleep.
2:15 is where my nostalgia hits the most. All the memories and friends that I lost and will never talk to again. Mamczursan and Ichigo I know you're out there :(
Bspeedster34, I miss playing Minecraft with you, all day, every day. I distinctly remember the time we met on Minecraft Minigames. Boy, that Tumble game was fun. Goodbye...
I first played minecraft on my dad’s work laptop (he works at a school) so when he moved to another district they made him give back the computer. I actually saved the world on a Zip drive (I had literally just found out how to download maps) and I moved it over to his next work laptop. I also had a super flat world that I experimented on for a couple years straight. From 1.7.10 to 1.9. I have no clue where the Zip drive is but it probably has the backed up 1.7.10 versions of all my worlds
14 year old here. i might not have experienced this game as much as the others on here have, but i have fond memories of playing on the PS3 & PS4 at my grandma's house. I also grew up with a lot of Gen Z culture. It all seems so distant now.
Those were the days. I'd start an easy survival world. Sheep were more rare when I started. So I didn't have a bed. I just built a dirt hut put a door on and waited
The thing that hurts most is I didn't do more in Minecraft back when I had my old Xbox, never built much or kept worlds too long. I kinda...well, I played but didn't leave much of a footprint that I did. Never made any friends on Xbox-save for one dude who I met in COD: BO but only played with twice or so and then never heard from him again- to play MC with. I think that's my biggest regret in life. not making memories that I had to opportunity to make. But even though I didn't make grand builds of monster proportions or museums or anything that the godsent builds of the older days did, or make the friends I could have, or tried to find Herobrine for shits n' giggles or any of the opportunities I missed, the nostalgia is still there. As some guy you probably already heard something similar from, reader, said: "The game has changed but the music hasn't." That's what makes Minecraft so nostalgic, the music. C418's work on the OST of MC will always hold a very special place in my heart. God, nostalgia can't really describe this, huh?
“Hello this is Stampy, and welcome back to my minecraft let’s play videos. Another episode in stampy’s lovely world!” “Hey everyone, Dan here from the diamond minecart!” *nostalgia*
Subwoofer Lullaby is hopeful nostalgia. A feeling that something has gone and past, but is still there. A feeling that there will be more happiness and joy.
Who else came here and only remembered part of the song, But managed to hum all of it with no struggle. Lmao, Memories and nostalgia are a heavy thing and really powerful, glad I still play Minecraft. I'm never letting go.
Minecraft back then, just single player basics Now, mods, maps, commands code, hacked clients, optifine, shaders, plugins, amazing servers But it makes you realize... People says the game is growing and dying in 2016? But just remember when redstone was first in the game as it grew to greatness.
+Calin Game How so? They're extra content for people who want more out of Minecraft, and are a great way to customise your playthrough and play with friends. Plus, *no one's forcing you to play on servers or use mods.* You can always play singleplayer and not experience any of the outside content. Same goes for new decoration blocks and other non-gameplay changing elements added to the game.
+Calin Game In case you missed my point: nobody's forcing you to play mods. You might have an opinion on mods, but that doesn't affect the core game in any way since you can just choose to ignore them (although it might affect other things like Minecraft RUclips video trends and other stuff part of the Minecraft community, but that's outside of the core game).
Seeing all the old comments remember “past” Minecraft is really just crazy. Minecraft is older than most people which is wild to think. The memories of the old family Xbox 360 still live in my mind like it was yesterday. I like coming here sometimes like a checkpoint in my life. And I hope others are able to share it too.
I remember when Minecraft was good. It was just a simple game that I would play alone or with a friend or two. It was a game about survival, beautiful views and endless creativity, that had a glorious soundtrack too. Now it's all about mods and mini games and all that stuff. I miss the older Minecraft. The first time I heard about it was when a friend of mine came over to my house and said "Hey, I got this cool new game on my Xbox!" I said "What's it called?" And he replied with "Minecraft." I was really intrigued so I went round to his house and we and another friend started to play it. I was really confused with the way it looked because I was used to seeing 3D models and backdrops, but this game had a blocky landscape that looked like it was made in the late 1990s or early 2000s. I loved the music and I knew that I had to get it. As soon as I got home I looked up the website and watched the trailer for it about 2,000 times. I told my dad about it and a few days later, we went to the gaming store to buy it on our Xbox 360. I played it with my brother for hours on end, and later I saw gravel blocks whenever I closed my eyes, as we were spending most of the time in a village. We started to get a lot more creative (no pun intended) and in one world I built an entire football stadium and my dad built a giant sky fortress. I also started to collect the Minecraft handbooks. One Christmas I got the beginners handbook. A few months later, my brother got the Redstone handbook. I got the Combat handbook at a school book fair and my mum bought me the Creation handbook once when she went to the shop. I also started watching Minecraft RUclipsrs like stampylonghead, TheDiamondMinecart, SkyDoesMinecraft and BajanCanadian as well as Minecraft parody songs. I was really getting into Minecraft now. A few years later, I started to go off Minecraft a bit. Me and my fiends started playing different games and Minecraft became a thing in the past. Every once in a while, I'll go back and start playing Minecraft with my brother. I'll always remember the time when Minecraft was at its highest moment.
It's not like you can literally go back to an earlier version with just a few clicks... Yes you can. Minecraft has gotten better, but you have certainly gotten much less optimistic.
Mods are for people who like it. It’s not like the mods have spread all over Minecraft. It’s for the person that likes them, and if you don’t like mods just don’t get them 😂. As simple as that. It doesn’t _ruin_ minecraft
The zombies wander aimlessly, unaware of what is to come. The sun begins to rise. Zombies start to burn. One by one they drop. One of them looks at you. Their rotting eyes look sad and...relieved. They don't look away as they burn. They are the last to die. The look in their eyes is still burned into your mind. You bury the rotten flesh they dropped and plant a small rose on the grave.
I remember when my Ex And i played co op in the early 2012. And i Also remember when we where hearing this soundtrack together back then, old good times. But now she's gone.. Unfortunately all the worlds i built with her are gone too. Now the only thing i have is this melody melting my heart one bit by one. Every time i repeat the video it gets even sadder, till i have no more memories to revisit. No more tears to drop. But now life goes on and i know i can't go back in time... So goodbye :)
is it weird im crying? thinking about all the great memories before. i haven’t even played minecraft much back then, but it makes me remember years before covid. before negativity was a thing in my mind. when everything was happy. there’s a chance no one will see this comment, but if you do, i wish you the best day, week, month, or year.
I Still remember the first time I played Minecraft: I was 4 years old, playing in my mom's bed on her iPhone 3g, I played with the Demo pocket edition, I made an all-glass house next to a lake, Then a horde of zombies were outside of my house. I got scared and quit the world. *All of this in 2011*
your around my age. same with me. i was around 5 and i would use my dad's old samsung phone and play the demo version. i also had an all glass house. i even had an indoor beet farm. but i will never be able to see the world again. i will only have it in my memory.
when i was 8 i got it on my xbox 360 and everytime it was night i would delete the world this happened twice then i played it with my friend for not too long and im nostalgic for that world we put four hours into :)
Subwoofer Lullaby makes me think of the uncharted infinitely generated landscape that this game provided back when it was new, and I marveled at how there were seemingly no limits.
thank you minecraft. thank you for the memories, the times with my friends playing this game. thank you for showing me that music has power. thank you for letting me stay connected to a friend that moved away 7 years ago. thank you for giving me something to look forward to after school every day. even though my old worlds corrupted with almost everything on my xbox 360, i will always remember that 6 story building i built with my buddies, my wolves i had on my floor, the taiga it sat in, and all the memories i made playing this game. i can’t say it enough, thank you minecraft, thank you so much for this perfect game
Ненавижу тебя за то что заставляешь рыдать, но обожаю за твой вклад Спасибо С418 за то что подарил музыку с которой вспоминаешь о веселых беззаботных деньках Но как же я не ценил это время
This brings me back to the tutorial on the Xbox 360. Me trying to rebuild that broken house at the start, walking through that short tunnel and discovering a castle. Those were the days
This randomly plays in my head after i saw some kids playing mc in the computer shop, reminds me of my first days in the game I haven’t play the game for too long
This reminds of waiting to join a multiplayer spleef server on Xbox 360, it felt kinda lonely, but I knew what would come next would be a joyous experience that I wouldn’t forget, even if I didn’t know it would stick with me this long. I don’t play Minecraft anymore, but I love the OG soundtrack for remembering moments like these. Call these times what you may, but it reminds me of the innocent life I died to lead, and I am very thankful that my parents had sheltered me from what I couldn’t shelter myself from
Leaving my comment here for the history books. I remember playing on my dad’s IPad, where the world wasn’t infinite, nether reactors, and even just a few blocks to play with. But it was fun. I remember being a little kid playing survival, and when night came around, I was so afraid of the zombie groans, I thought they were bears! I was so afraid I only played creative, building a massive house out of stone, and a big tree you could walk inside. When I was a little older I would play with my friend on his Xbox 360, making maps of our favorite games that were out, like fnaf, hello neighbor and bendy and the ink machine. I miss those days.
Just 3 minutes after you started playing your new world....Randomly...just randomly this song kicks in.......Ahh man that time the feeling is ........No words
You explore the forest You see a dog, and give it bones You name it max You go in the mines with max, and he watches you mine You get off after mining You decide to make a new world “I’ll go back to that one, just gonna try something else” you say You don’t. Max is alone Max is gone.
This week work has been incredibly stressful. I moved to Tokyo, Japan 11 years ago and finally landed a job as a designer here. I am very thankful for that. At the same time, there are times when the work piles up and the deadlines are tight and stress becomes very difficult to manage. I have needed to grind through a lot of work so I decided to do a little background musical journey. I started in reverse chronological order with Lena Raine's amazing "Minecraft: Wild Update", then "Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs", then "Minecraft: Nether Update", then yesterday I went through C418's "Minecraft - Volume Beta" today landing on "Minecraft - Volume Alpha". All of the feels. As someone that has enjoyed this game since it was in pre-alpha, this has been an emotional musical journey and helped keep my mind engaged on grindy work.
I know I'll be back here in a very long time, just like I was here when I was 10, when I was 14, now when I'm 19, so I wanted to leave something for myself. A little reminder that it's okay! Today was good, and tomorrow will surely be better. There's a story for me to tell right now, and I hope that where I'm at there, whenever there is, that that story is concluded and seen in the same light as this song. Because both will forever be history, and that only means life was amazing.
Theres nothing like the true feeling of nostalgia with the whole minecraft community, the feeling of just being together with everybody who has the same amount of nostalgia. For such a game called Minecraft.
Through a mountain and over the sea. Venture a great plain and through lush green. Finding rare treasures truth be told... and possibly more friggin gold :/ Under all this game's pixels and blocks, under all the dirt and rocks, you just might find something magical. Thanks Notch.
I miss playing minecraft back in 2011-14. I could play it for hours and not get bored, even by myself. Nowadays, I can play it for 5 minutes and hop off because of boredom. I miss that sense of wonder.
Microsoft does not have any say over what updates are put into minecraft. The dev team still had complete control over what goes in so your point is invalid. Sorry.
You are a Legend Thank you for making these fantastic songs of nostalgia just listening to them reminds me of playing with my cousin to the sound of these masterpieces
One day, a day when you're so far gone and caught up in your daily life and your mind is always on the future, you'll take a glance back and see how far you've come. You'll load up an old world and see the creations of your friends and your family. You'll see waves of old memories that you forgot you had, images of time long gone. And you'll look around you to see everything's changed. People move on. Times change. The best part of the game is that everything's waiting exactly as you left it because, in the game, it's still the same day as when you closed it. It feels like the last surviving, untouched token of the past. On that one day, you'll hope to experience even just an instant of what you felt back then. But instead you'll see that when things end, nothing can ever truly be the same because after things end, we change. Memories don't see you on the flip side.

Yeah I have had an experience like that. Minecraft is the game that I grew up playing. I remember seeing DanTDM on youtube and playing the game with this music behind it, Minecraft is only sad to think about becuase you can't experience the past again but you can listen to the music knowing that this is what I heard while playing the game with my friends all those years ago. Its the one thing that can you can experience again unlike the memory's you had with it. And that is why Minecraft is the definition of nostalgia, the game is truly beautiful.
The feeling you get when you watch this.
Not a feeling of nostalgia, but a feeling of
humanity.

Go back to that old world. I still have my first Minecraft world, imported it from mobile. It's great.
I did delete my first Minecraft world 5 years ago. Now I really regret it.
i deleted minecraft myself, i regret it.
My first experience was on the Xbox 360. Shame the disk was messed up and almost certainly lost

@@mocanbicanofoda443 hello to you to
The thing that hurts most is I didn't do more in Minecraft back when I had my old Xbox, never built much or kept worlds too long. God, nostalgia can't really describe this, huh?
yeah same

Hah I remember it all but that’s probably because I play Minecraft all the time
Minecraft back then, just single player basics
Now, mods, maps, commands code, hacked clients, optifine, shaders, plugins, amazing servers
But it makes you realize... People says the game is growing and dying in 2016? But just remember when redstone was first in the game as it grew to greatness.
Hi Hi you can still playing in your singleplayer ignoring everyone...
And it came back to life after dying, or should I say "respawned"?
i remember when /give was first added in, holy shit man did this comment hit hard
I'll always remember the time when Minecraft was at its highest moment.
this story gave me chills

Leaving my comment here for the history books. I remember playing on my dad’s IPad, where the world wasn’t infinite, nether reactors, and even just a few blocks to play with. But it was fun.
The fact that Lil Bo Weep sampled this just makes it even better. Not to mention how even kids nowadays are gonna be nostalgic for this

Memories don't see you on the flip side.
what if you deleted your old worlds, you'd wish you never deleted them, so u go watch old minecraft videos

It's 2019 and I'm still loving this. So nostalgic..
