This is such a cool bike, I love love love the sound of the 850. Love the speedometer and the upright stance. Seems like a very stable ride. Very nice!
The BMW GS/GSA 850 has a parallel Twin. The 1250 GS/GSA has a horizontaly opposed Twin motor, or better known as the Boxer. It also has the shift cam. Shame you didn't ride a 1250 GS, you would have really enjoyed it. Glad you found the 850gs a fun bike to ride. They are good, thats for sure.

This bike would be a good dirt road ,snow, winter kinda live in the woods bike.
Just swap out the tires for more of a off road ,street tire combo.
