Not sure if had the pleasure of making acquintance with a Cam Audio C640v2 CD player. They have placed 7815/7915 regs without heatsinks right next to associated, no name 1mF electrolytics. Since these provide +/-15V rails to 6 NE5532s in total, the heat transfer directly to caps' casings was enough to turn the latter into a huge question mark. What were they thinking? Thank you for the great tutorial, not a big fan of input ICs myself, traditional signal relays produce less noise, I think.
Hi you see the same thing with the 540 and 640 V1 and V2 smoothing capacitors next to voltage regulators. Then the inevitable failure and 100 hZ power hum being heard. Thank you for your nice comments about the channel.
Man you are super generous. Stellar job, wish you all the best and lots of tenacity! Keep it up
Thank you
