Check under your table to see if they put any listening devices or cameras there......just sounds too creepy!! Also you might want to speak with a manager of the Realtor Company and tell them of the guys....Drop that company like now and check out a different Realtor!!!
My dad was a real estate broker for decades. It is not appropriate for any real estate agent to allow ppl to sit at your diningroom table for 3 hours. Also, she is responsible for showing your home. Her eyes should have been on those men and she should have got their info for follow-up up and escorted both to the door. That is just not done!
Your crazy if you didn't call the police, her boss, then a lawyer. Watch your backs
Change realtors! If they were her friends, sketchy for her to let them stay and not tell you. If she didn’t know them, sketchy that she didn’t have them leave.

That's crazy about those 2 guys, I'd check your camera's off and on to make sure they aren't showing up again, especially after dark. Sounds to suspicious.

Ask your Realtor who the men were. She works for you, so don't be afraid to question anything. It could be that they were friends of hers that she had there just for her own protection. As a female real estate agent, I do not like doing open houses without having someone with me. I usually try to get another agent or a lender.
I agree with the others comments that it is creepy that them two guys were sitting at your table for approximately three hours. The only reason that somebody would be sitting there for an extended time would be because they’d be sitting with the realtor discussing purchasing that house so I would definitely talk to the realtor and if she doesn’t want to give her opinion on it then I would change realtors ASAP.
Agree. She doesn’t seem interested in helping you, or it could be many things. Doesn’t feel right, though!
When i would do open houses, on occasion a lender would join me. He would park it at the table and basically answer any questions regarding loans that buyers may have. I was usually greeting people and answering questions about the house, so we didn’t hang out and talk but I always knew if a lender was going to join me and I always notified the sellers who would be at the open house for the duration it was open. There is nothing wrong with asking the realtor directly about what you saw, she should have no problem telling you. My other guess, and i never had this situation during my realtor days, but if i had to sell again today, I may have asked my husband or son or another realtor to just hang out with me for safety reasons. Maybe it was someone just being there to help her feel safe?
Normally its a realtors job to keep eyes on everyone during an open house if someones being weird or sketchy they take control I think its a good possibility that they were friends of the realtor and maybe were there to try and make the open house seem busier for competition of others looking. You can always reach out to the realtor/company and be like hey its concerning to us that someone would sit in the house for that long and not show interest in buying just so we can sleep better at night did you know them or know why they were there so long.
I'd be asking the realtor who they were. They could be what we call here in the UK, "casing the house", using an opportunity to check it out for sketchy purposes. I'd also consider giving a non-emergency police report. If the police go & speak to them it could avoid anything happening. I have a lot of police officers in my family. And keep a close eye on your security cameras.
I would be careful of them two they may have been casing your house to come back. Keep on top of the security people can be crazy

Talk to the realtor and ask if she knew them. If she doesn’t have an explanation, and especially if she doesn’t know them, call the non emergency line of the police and let them know. Then be sure to keep your security and alarms armed. The way I see it there are 2 possibilities:
1. They were buddies with the realtor who was worried about being in the home alone and so were trying to provide security for her.
2. They were casing your house to rob it.
Don’t ignore your instincts. If you think something is off, something is off. Also no, that isn’t normal open house behavior. Stay safe!
About those 2 guys sitting at your table for 3 hrs is extremely weird!!!! And creepy!! I'd be checking your house to make sure everything is okay, you have camera's all over the house?? And I definitely would have told your realtor about it.
Sounds to suspicious. And yes check for listening devices or cameras that they could've placed. To much that goes on in our world these days,,keep an eye on your cameras.

Cassie!!! Change realtors NOW. That shouldn’t have happened and I don’t want to cause any alarm, but those guys may have been casing your house. I would really be careful and, I hope I’m wrong that realtor should not have just let people sit in your house for three hours.

As a realtor that’s really weird. I’m glad they left when she did but why didn’t she find out their story. I get everything out of people that come through mine.

Those men sitting at your table for 3 hours is so sketchy and inappropriate and I’m shocked the realtor allowed that😮 i would be concerned as well since you are in the public eye. Maybe question realtor more or get a new one, seems odd they didn’t mention 2 people sitting there for 3 hours with no mentions of intent to buy
WOW! That's not creepy that's insane! It's a good thing that you had cameras in your home! If that realtor doesn't want to give you any information about those guys I'd be taking the footage to their office and report it! I think I would change realtor be honest with you. And yes, that is really weird but get you a new realtor. I think you guys be better off.
Those guys were someone that she knew. They were her "security" so to speak.
Yes that was my first thought that they were her security, so to speak. If they were not, I would definitely question their motives and why the realtor did not mention them staying so long.
This is a really good point! I would just ask the realtor about them. It’s understandable for a woman to have someone there for safety but she needs to disclose that to you if that’s the case.

Your realtor knew who they were. Maybe they were two friends or two relatives of hers that showed up just before your open house, her behavior and theirs were overstepping your boundaries, innocent or not, they've probably done this before or maybe she doesn't feel safe being alone in someone's home, see if you can't have an heart to heart sit down with her to get the full story, if they were there for her protection, she should've been upfront with you, I do hope you get a buyer soon and be able to move closer to Cassie's family.

Ummmm guys, in my opinion, that just sounds sketchy . I really does! I don’t have much experience w open houses per day but, that just doesn’t make sense to me why they would stay for THAT length of time and not make an offer or let the realtor know they’re interested. This was way too creepy! I never heard of someone sitting casually in a home for so long. There is definitely something weird about this! Be in the alert as they could be planning to break in your house or whatever that isn’t good! I agree with all the comments in here. Too weird guys. Be in the lookout .I would be the politeness aside and kindly ask them to leave !

I would ask the realtor. Maybe she brought people to make it look more busy. If she didn’t I would get a picture off your camera and see if the police know them. I would wonder if they want to steal something

Thats creepy.they could obcessed with your family also casing your house .where were your dogs while the open house was on.In our country open are somewhere between 30 to 60 minutes.
Be very careful about those men! They might be planning to squat. Have you heard about squatters?? They might be scouting out homes for sale that they might be able to take over when vacant for a second. Watch out!
i asked a professional realator once and she said thats not normal the person (or people) shouldnt sit at a table unless their going to buy it

They were watching her back. In case there was trouble. Realtor wouldn’t admit she needed security, because it may put clients off. That’s my take on it. If they were casing your home, they wouldn’t have stuck around xx
Agree. The realtor 100% knew them. They were there to keep her safe. I’d just directly ask. Not sure what the problem is with asking. Nobody that’s going to rob a house sits in it for 3 hours.
Why did you not ask the realtor directly about the two guys at the table? It deserves an explanation. Be careful because people who case a house at open houses come back and commit home invasions and robberies. They look for valuables and places of vulnerability to get into a house.
