I love that.. if we ever needed you now is the time.. that is so true. So many injustices everywhere we look. I was in rehab for opiate abuse a few years ago and I had no idea who this man was. I heard Wash It Away the gondola session version. And when he said today is a good day for my ego to die and then he said it again I don't know what it was but I dropped my head to the table and just cried my eyes out I was the most stubborn person you've ever met in your life. Hard headed just all around douchebag and a drug addict... fast forward to now I am currently 14 months actually almost 15 months clean and I still listen to this man's music daily and I mean every single day multiple times a day. His story has been a very powerful tool in my recovery and in life in general. Listening to his music has kept me from taking my own life more than once.. it's giving me the insight to carry on. I have shared his music with everybody that will listen. between him and a band called Poets of the fall.. which by the way I highly recommend everybody check out if you do check out the Alexander theater Sessions album in its entirety.. but this world would be such a darker place without the music of the Bear... Music Is Life...
