Honestly, I think GD leaving & the individual contracts for BP not going through around the same time, was the wake up call YG needed. They couldn't rely on their biggest money makers anymore.
I mean, when they revamped the website for the artists section, I think they really saw how much they were lacking artists. Only 5 groups active and 3 of them are barely active? Yeah that's *really bad*, and they're starting to realize it.

@@r-yg445 I've been watching YG and their artists grow since 2nd gen, and watched when they were gained the title of being part of the "Big 3". I've also been watching them slowly lose power, money, and hold on the industry since then with people and groups leaving, enough that other companies can easily gain the upper hand from this.
YG is definitely not the company they once were, only having a few groups at hand that don't gain the general public's eye as much (besides AKMU). This doesn't really scream "Big 3" energy to me, it makes them look like they're falling behind from that title compared to the other big companies.
I've also watched groups come and go from CUBE, and CUBE has always had a reputation of not being the best even since 2nd gen. It's why they're not part of the "Big 3". G(idle) is really the only group at CUBE keeping them afloat, but even the members have shown disdain for the company and wanting to leave.
@r-yg445 The concepts won't sustain them long term. We saw that with the backlash of BM's Batter Up. People wanted a new take, not recycled BP. I also love YG's concepts but we get them so rarely that it builds unachievable expectations for all the groups. Also, they fall behind when the industry moves on as they continue to remain stagnant.
@@r-yg445Everyone has a right to their opinion. At the end of the day, I really think YG built AND stymied BP's careers. It's one thing for an artist to want change and leave the agency every once in a while. It's another if all their veteran artists want to leave. High turnover is usually a sign of poor management. If the girls weren't so big and successful as BP, they likely would've disbanded. This last year and a half has been nothing but reactionary actions from YG to BP potentially disbanding... BP's rushed comeback/album/tour which revealed them to be out of sync and unprepared to perform as a unit and BM's rushed debut without Ahyeon. It's all just sloppy.
YG announcing that they hired 40 new producers and promising a BP comeback bi-annually is their way to do damage control and reassure their fans that they are finally listening. Hopefully, they give BM a chance to be successful.

One company that honestly need to pop out a new group is Fantgio. Considering Astro went from a 6 member to a 4 member in less then 2 months with Rocky leaving and Moonbin's passing. They have a single girl group Wiki Meki and their new boy group Lun8 which took forever for them to debut. Astro has been pretty much carrying Fantagio with their music and EunWoo's acting and that can't happen anymore due to what I mentioned.

YG used to have 10 producers and that is why they have problem churning out songs and comebacks consistently.
Now, they have 40 to 50 producers. Of course YG would want each of the producers to work hard to earn their money. So, expect alot more comebacks and also a few groups to debut. YG has plenty of capacity to do so.

I get that the lyrics are illogical but does it always have to be super deep and meaningful? anyone and their mom could tell how unserious the concept is just by looking at the thumbnail. There’s a reason why Seven has a clean version because the explicit version was banned too. 3D was also banned because of the rap so they took it out for broadcast. It happens a lot.

Keloids are hard to get rid of. My aunt has several two big ones on each ear. She wears her hair long to cover them. From my understanding some skin are just prone to keloids 🤷🏽♀️ and that’s ok. If they are common in your family the probability of getting one is high.

Before, yg debuted winner then later on ikon which might have happend with treasure and magnum however yg changed his mind. The people that are hating on wife just don’t get it. Which is why I am here to explain it to you guys!
1) In the song, the lyrics, “I cook cream soup” and “I clean your room, it’s so twinkle twinkle” are often repeated. These aren’t just some random English lyrics. They have meaning. “I cook cream soup” is kinda self explanatory but will explain anyway. The part “I cook” refers to how some men think that women just belong in the kitchen and should cook for them. The “cream soup” part is for how some men use women for xes🔁. The lyric “I clean your room it’s so twinkle twinkle” refiners to the stereotype that all women should clean the house because they are denied a job and education. Which is why the lyrics don’t make much sense because she has no other way to express herself because she “just a dumb housewife”
2) In the MV, you can see them all wearing solid color jumpsuits. And who else wears solid color jumpsuits? Prisoners. This shows how the traditional housewife lifestyle can feel imprisoning and like you can’t escape it. Almost like a sentence.
3) They don’t lip sync in the MV. This shows how people think women should be “seen and not heard.” There is also a point in the MV where a show comes down on the members. The represents how women feel lower then the dirt under their house. Especially in Korea, women have said that they feel lower than their pets. Like it goes 1. The husband, the 2. The children, 3. The dog and 4. The wife.
4) The lyrics seem very childish, but also very vulgar. This represents men’s pædophilck beauty standards (especially in Korea) and this obsession with the “cute-sěxý” figure where she is cute and innocent, but will still do the dirty things to the man.
This is (G)I-DLE. They made nxde and omg. They aren’t just make a song with a bunch or random lyrics with no meaning. They aren’t gonna say something unless they have something important to say.

If they want their songs to be taken seriously they should fix their pronounciation and the grammar.
