So why am I not finding coinsurance plans for my dental coverage? The dental clinic asks "What is your coinsurance?" And in fact, I had never even heard the term (I'm age 70 and have been insured all my life, dealt with lots of ins. companies etc.)! Sounds like a new linguistic flimflam to me.. I see there's a company with dental coinsurance plans for employer/employee groups. Last visit, I had to pay quite a sum, since I had no coinsurance, was clueless about it.. The plan said I would only pay $80.00, for a $1,600.00 root canal procedure. But because I had no coinsurance, I was still billed over $800.00! Would've been nice to have known beforehand!!
There is, it’s simply a plan with no deductible. Just keep in mind the medical plan will cost more than a medical plan with a deductible. I’m an insurance broker. I worked many years for Anthem Blue Cross. Now I work for a privately owned Insurance Brokerage in CA.
You really think an x-ray and cast are $750? What do you think this is, an expensive, private hospital in a third world country? This is the USA, that'll be several thousand dollars, and god forbid you went to the ER.
FINALLY!!! A video that explains it clearly. Thank you!!!!
I agree! Best explanation ever.
Exactly
Same here
Jesus... it's about time. Been trying to figure this crap out forever. THANK YOU!!!
I couldn’t be more grateful for a video, it finally all makes sense!!!
This explains better than work
Could you please explain difference between paid amount, allowed amount, contractual adjustment and billed amount?
short and good video
I'm a health concierge so benefits is my thing... this is very helpful.
$500 deductible, 80/20 and a $1500 max out of pocket? HAHA and your monthly premium is $2000
B Hurk I remember the good old days before the ACA this plan here would of cost $115 a month.
@@omarvelazquez407 thats not true at all, especially for people who pay for their own insurance.
Thanks for video . You make it easy to understand.
thank you so much for this video. i was doing my open enrollment for work and didn't understand what coinsurance meant.
I think it is the best explanation
Thank goodness I came across to this.
Okay...so in the example...after breaking my arm 6 more times, finally insurance will pay 100% of the health bills?
Beautifully exaplianed. Thank you!

Thanks so much! 😀
I wonder if there is a plan with straight co-insurance without a deductible?

Thank you! Very helpful
Great you made it clear.

I'm moving to Canada. 🇨🇦
I was saying coin-surance the whole time till now
LOL
is this the same as copay?
copay is the amount of money you pay everytime you see a physician

Or call an ambulance and the ambulace company isnt in your insurence plan. 😂
The “insurance” being a white man is fitting 😅
Then why the fuck wouldn't they just include it in my deductible?????????
Playing music while the explanation is being made is annoying. Understanding the Medicare alphabet soup is hard enough without the annoyance.
