It changed a lot of how I saw our evolution and definitely some questions about how we have changed compared to the species we share the planet with and possibilities of us being the only lifeforms. I could go on a tangent, but definitely read the book.

This is absolutely amazing and an excellent demonstration of what AI tech can do for us, even now in the present. Sure an artist can do digital or traditional recreations of old-school games and anime, but seeing something like the Lucca at 0:11 that is basically a photographic still frame from an 80's movie that never existed, is so radical! Not to say artists cannot do such a thing, there's plenty of hyperrealism painters out there creating photographic looking images, but it's rare you see that overlap with nerdy 80's and 90's j-culture. AI let's a talented whisperer not only create things people have never seen before, but it also lets us imagine what COULD have been in a way that is stunningly convincing! PS - If you're not protective of your tech, I'd love to see the prompts on these or even full creation videos as you whisper, tweak, etc images like this from scratch and go over your thought processes and decision making and such! There's not enough 'open-source' AI content and tutorials out there for producing content of this quality... ): Either way, great stuff! Keep it up!
Even if technically possible to create such images before AI, it wouldn't be financially feasible. Hard to justify spending months creating fan art through traditional process esp when you can't monetize your work. As for tutorials, it's definitely something I'd like to do in the near future

zelda and megaman probably wouldnt work that well. castlevania and streets of rage(any of the 4) would be amazing. i do feel like one that would be insane is legend of mana. that game has one of the most unique art styles for an rpg, and would be amazing to see. same with vagrant story and chrono cross.

Not much work and effort at all, actually. Anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours per picture, auto-generated with the right words and references. All you have to do is wait.
It's quite impressive how helpful this can be as a tool for iterating and experimenting during ideation stage of a movie/cartoon. That said, i think we should forward this concept to Guilhermo del Toro ;D
