I own kingpin , a 1972 Chris craft commander 31. It’s been on texoma since new , in November 1971. Texoma isn’t no small lake , and the weather could change at any time . Hope to see y’all out there sometime.
That’s awesome! That’s my favorite part is that Texoma is such a massive lake. If you want to be around people you can do that, or you can get so far away that you’re a couple miles from humans.
Man we've had so many storming boat stories. Most on texoma and a few on eufaula. Eufaula, I had my boat beached as we were rv camping. Storm came up and we couldn't see the boat anymore. It drifted off about a mile away and got wedged into a dock with a roof. Rain almost sunk the boat. A dock guy pulled out in and started pumping it out. They found us a little while later. I believe it was the next day. I used the trolling motor to drive it up onto the trailer. Starter had been underwater and we had to drain the motor and change the oil. She ran fine for many years after that. Sold her to buy my first deck boat. I hope the original boat is still around and on the water. It was a tough 17 foot dynasty fish and ski
Little late to the party but i had my 16' Shoalwater center console tied up in my slip next to my houseboat one night when a big storm came in. I got up the next morning and my little boat was gone. I thought it sunk so I put down live scope and looked around under the slip and nothing was there. I found it about an hour later between two docks about a 1/8 mile away in a nice sheltered spot without a scratch.
Yeah yeah I know it’s not the ocean, but our tornado alley storms can still get ya nervous out on the lake!

Instant fog on Lake Michigan 1.5 miles out ...before GPS/LORAN
