My wife and I have been lucky enough to see Martina four times live over the span of her amazing career . Fast forward 20 years and I'm so glad country music purists aren't dominating the discussion about Martina's legacy, because in the late '90s/early '00s, there was plenty of talk that she was one of those female "pop" acts who was supposedly only nominally country.
