As a Chicago girl who lives in California, Luis and Nerissa thank you. I enjoy all of your videos. You are a breath of fresh air. I love the New York videos also. But of course, my favorite will always be Chicago. Thank you so much.❤
I have visited both of these major city's in a span of 2 weeks. Chicago is huge no doubt. But NYC is on another level. Not sure what it is because both city's are amazing and such a great representation of the USA.
Great comparison, very balanced review you saw it as you experienced it. I agree with most of what you said. I totally agree both NYC and Chicago could definitely benefit from making their Subway/metro systems more circumferential, connecting neighborhoods to neighborhoods and suburbs to suburbs.
Trying to go due east from the blue line is a pain lmfao
Loll the big ol orange 😂.
Toronto girl here, living in SF & possibly moving to Chicago soon. Thanks to your videos, I’m 99.9% sure I’m making the move.
You’ll love Chicago ❤️
Great video dude! The silly voice at the beginning had me dying. Love Chicago and NYC!
Hey Luis, great video! As someone who travels back and forth between Chicago and NYC often, I couldn't agree more with most of the video. If Chicago were able to close the roads that run through Grant Park and the other great parks of Chicago, they would definitely act more as an escape from the hustle and bustle like the ones in New York.
I'm a New Yorker but I love that Chicago deep dish. Transit New York is a lot easier to navigate, more lines, more transfers, Chicago seems to be centered around that loop. they're finally planning interboro lines where you don't have to go through Manhattan.
Loving your videos, humor, and insights.
I visited NYC and Chicago a little while ago. They are great cities, impressive arquitecture, very urban and a lot to do.
Your content is great bro. Been following you for three years since i moved to Chicago. Perhaps you should make them more consider and right to the point with shinier editing and titles and such. Keep up the good work 👊🏻
As a Chicagoan this city is unmatched in the summer. Yachting on the lakefront, the entire city is lined with a large lake to the east. Beaches from the Northside to the far Southside. Besides the many parks. You do have some space. If Chicago didn’t have such terrible politics the city could be even greater. So many neighborhoods are under developed and neglected either by the government or the residents who live there. The fact that there is no South Pier équivalent to Navy Pier is truly a testament to missed opportunities. 😢
Great video!
Hahah when people annoy me I do accents too! Lol! Keep the vids coming bro. I reached a tipping point in my career as of recent and am finally thinking of a few years of cold winter to boost my income may be worth it. I love the warm weather being down south but Chicago seems like my style coming from the south. I’ll be visiting in July so super excited!
Great video and comparison.
Good video and good comparison 👍
Two amazing cities!!
Chicagoan here, I found NYC to be a larger version in almost every way. I enjoy it and actually feel very easy to transition to the city. I prefer New Yorkers to Chicagoans though. I wouldn’t consider moving to NY because it wouldn’t be much of a leap to something different. Chicago is a large busy metropolis with a lot to do. I’m looking for something more tropical and warmer.
This is the best comparison video I have seen. I agree with his comments.
The Chicago skyline looks like New York of the 80s. But if you go to Brooklyn it looks like neighborhoods of Chicago.
Both have great architecture I love the old buildings
Luis ignore the haters. As much as I love Chicago I'm considering applying for teaching careers in the Big Apple to further my career.
Try Boston or San Diego next. Love your content, is doesn't matter where you are I'll keep following you.
Love y’all no matter where you go.💚
Never stop Brother !!!!!! Haters gonna Hate .
Please do you and allow your content to rise. Folks that complain and put folks down for doing great things are not the ones to listen to. Most just like to point fingers and are not about doing what it takes to elevate their lives. Congrats on doing you and moving for your career. High quality content.
People are idiots! I appreciate your honest perspective on multiple cities. Matter of fact, just seeing that you made a video on NYC made me even more interested in traveling there.
I' an born & raised in chicago I never been to NYC but I heard NYC has no alleys is that true?
Love the Chicago content... warming up to the NY content, jk. Keep killing em, love the channel.
I love NY but I don't know if I can afford a masters education there compared ti Chicago, would you be interested in comparing higher ed in both cities or just in NYC? Love your videos btw
The big orange!? 😮 I've never heard Los Angeles being labeled "The Big Orange". The "City of Angels", that's what LA is known as, but the "The Big Orange"? 🍊 There's more orange in any Chicago Bears jersey (similarly with the New York Mets) than any LA-area sports team.
In all seriousness, Luis Gusto, I always enjoy your Chicago videos. And in a selfish way, I'm glad you guys have gotten to the Big Apple. 🍎🍏 (two apples of different colors) But as someone who has spent a year-plus in the Windy City, I'm thankful you guys are splitting time living in the first and third largest cities in the US.
You’re forgetting good ol Orange County
i have hear safety issues with public transit with both cities.
Thanks again John in Chicago
it's good to see a Chicagoans perspective on NYC.
I can tell your a Puerto Rican from Chicago 😎
Luis as a Guy that lived in NYC and from Chicago, it's not gonna be that much of a Transition for a creator such as yourself. I lived in Chicago, New York, and LA, and they all have it's up's and down, but a creator such as yourself it not gonna be that hard to fit in.
I like your videos Luis, Narissa. Perhaps, the next stop for you is Miami or San Francisco.
Nice. As a Chicago native considering moving to New York, I'm looking forward to the NY videos!
But do they say “you’re good” when you say “my bad” in nyc?!
Yes
I could be wrong but, I actually heard the shoes in NY City are cheaper to buy. Like I said I'm only going off what I heard.
I have lived in BOTH Chicago and New York for 2+ years.
(Chicago itself since '03).
In Chicago, I live in Edgewater. In NYC, I live in Riverdale.
Both are great cities.
Since we chopped up our parks Chicago decided to give us forest preserves. Lol
シカゴは冬寒そうだよなあ😖
As a Chicago native, Chicago is the prep course for NYC. Or the AAA version of NYC. If NYC is Michael Jordan, Chicago is Kobe Bryant.
love this. imma take the prep course ahaha
@LUIS GUSTO! I ❤️ TEDDY GRAHAM CEREAL!
Time to meet Casey ? :)
Great video! New York City and Chicago Illinois are my two favorite United States cities.
I’m glad you moved to New York City instead of Los Angeles California. I’m not a huge fan of LA.
