Honestly, the fireball wouldn't be so spammable if not for the push back. A 3 hit block string almost always seems to push the characters apart to full screen, which is just NUTS compared to modern day fighter games.
I don’t understand the final. Toni won three in a row and then Reno won the second set. Why did Reno end up winning? Shouldn’t it have been tied?!?!
Reno was in the winner's bracket. Tomo would have had to take two sets to eliminate him, the first only put him in losers side. Tomo was already in losers so he only needed to lose one set to be eliminated.

The names of the 3 characters M. Bison, Vega, and Balrog got switched around when it came to the US because M bison which in japan is the balrog character is too similar to mike Tyson and didn’t want legal issues so they did a name swap. So the names you see in this tournament are the Japanese original names for the characters.
Mike Bison is indeed an homage to Tyson, the american name switch had to do with Mike Tyson being accused of rape.
