I always was a bigger fan of two first albums. I also like some songs from the last two(fireman and dancer is pure gold) but We are the Royal and Save the nation will still be my most played albums.
The first time I have seen them live was in 2011, they played the whole album and actually opened with The Royal. Hundreds of concerts later that still was the best opening ever.
Sweden is turning out droves of killer bands. Discovered these guys in the RUclips feed. Thank goodness. Simply one of the best bands Ive ever heard or seen. At 59 Ive seen all the "big acts", club and underground bands. Royal Republic makes me want to play again. In America we are subjected to MGK, Pink, and other button pressers as "Rock Acts". What a joke. The music industry has to be filled with the most stump dumb people.These guys should be in stadiums. Why and when will these gentlemen come to the USA? Thanks Royal Republic. Been sick lately and this lifted my spirits beyond words. God Bless!!

Niko Böswetter ich glaub BT und RR kann man schlecht vergleichen... Billy Talent sind deutlich härter und Ian nutzt viele Jazz-Elemente während Royal Republic Rockabilly und Punk mixen

I saw them live as a support for SOAD in Kraków, Poland. That was the first time I've heard of the band. They were amazing live, even more energy than on the albums!
its the magical power of the ginger beard thats just the way that works, also playing a bass is a lot less intense in regards to movements therefor they sweat less, part of the reason as to why the bass was such a looked down apon instrument at the time it was intro duced, but yea unless you go ham on it like flea from rhcp or other fuck bassist your far less likely to break a sweat

So bands are more about direct sales and you're not likely to hear new hard rock or metal on TV or radio. Largely underground. Foreign bands can build a fanbase here online and tour very succesfully. We have had well attended tours and festivals including Band-Maid and Nemophila from Japan, Halestorm just toured with Plush and the Pretty Reckless from US and with The Warning from Mexico. Rock is still happening here, even if mass media usually ignores it.
For anyone wondering about the band's stage antics and styling: The fun and the irony is already in their paradox band name. ;-) Royal (= of the monarch) - Republic (= of the people) ... see? 😀 PS: Why excellent (and pretty mass compatible) stuff like this is getting no radioplay at all is beyond me. A great energetic concert. Sweden is a breeding ground for world - famous artists. Abba, Roxette, Ace of Base, Royal Republic are performers that probably everyone knows. 👍
You just hear the Swedish genes popping in their music. Alot of focus on melody and catchyness in their riffs and everything. Tight as ever as well. Bands like The Hives and The Hellacopters also really has that.
Royal Republic , super Geil, hab die auch schon mal live gesehen. Aber die Kameraführung ist ja mal super scheiße heutzutage. Das Konzert geht ca. 70 Minuten und alle 3 Sekunden hat man einen anderen Kamerawinkel. Könnt ihr das nicht mal auf 5 bis 10 Sekunden oder länger einfach mal lassen. Dann fühlt es sich noch mehr wie ein Konzert an und nicht wie ein Musikvideo. Ich finde diese ständigen wechsle ziemlich anstrengend, aber vielleicht geht das auch nur mir so.
