I have a weird story. I ran into Justin I think at Amoeba in Hollywood a few years back. One of the ends to their record aisles had all their Tool records displayed, which I was fingering through. I was scanning one of their records when I sensed someone was walking near me, when I looked up and was shocked to see Mr. Chancellor. I had to do a double take. He gave me a welcoming nod and was on his way. I wish I would've said something but maybe its better that I didn't. Thanks for bringing the awesome, Justin!
That's one of the most badass stories about a famous musician I've ever heard. It was cool of you to not fangirl, they appreciate it more than you think.
That's a 'badass' story? Methinks you know not what 'badass' means. And no offence, but I bet you just saw some white guy with a beard. They all look the same.
Glad I get to see an interview with Justin. And I believe that too about molcuels in instruments. And everything. That's also why different venues have a unique sound.
I appreciate this interview. I bet Justin was ready to roll out but got pulled in to do a podcast/interview as a last minute thing. But I gained some good insight from this. Great interview.
Well, om hand I agree. Onnthe other hand, he was doing an interview with a probably busy guy... it would have been unprofessional / wasting the mans time to mess around on the bass, I guess. Also,.I would be too intimidated to play next to this guy on his own bass 😂
We recorded quite a few interviews during the Bass Camp, and our reporter microphone was damaged. We recorded this material with a microphone from the camera, which was a few meters away from the speakers. And that is why there is a low level of recording and reverberation. Sorry for that :(
He lands an interview with Justin Chancellor and has the ability to ask him a myriad of deep questions regarding music... And talks about football/soccer? Seriously?

Hearing that Justin is good friends with Scott Reeder makes me smile.
Heck year they played Demon Cleaner live before, Scott is awesome to play the song with them.
Justin is one of my favorite bass players, really a inspiration
This man is the reason I have a life long passion for bass
It's great to see Justin doing interviews. He's been off screen for so long.

Looks like a real nice and polite person!

You guys need a better mic. It sounds like youre in a bathroom.
*wipes ass* they are in a bathroom, mate
A better mic wont help, its the room reflections.
8:53 state of Tool´s new album
Thank you!
It's out! :)
Justin somehow transformed into Sigmund Freud
David Muñoz AHAHAHAHAHAGAHAHAA
The man looks way to old for his age
+Cheshire -A lot of city miles...
Cooking the new album with sunlight.
“An instrument changes from being played over and over, through the years” I hope I can achieve this.
I appreciate this interview. I bet Justin was ready to roll out but got pulled in to do a podcast/interview as a last minute thing. But I gained some good insight from this. Great interview.
JC is super nice...
This guy could pass as a sixth form class teacher lol
I didn't know Andrew Lincoln played bass in tool. No wonder he left the Walkiing Dead there about to drop a new record and tour.
:)
DAMN ...thats a good one !
Well we got something out of Justin regarding the new tool album. Fingers fucking crossed!
Just trust me "its gonna awesome".. 2019, a month away.
Good job asking about the next album!
Justin gave you his bass--play it!
:)

The man himself Justin
can't believe you didn't mic him.
That Fender is what he used when working with MT Void
One word: YES!!!!!
An incredible British Man..
Would love to see the Rickenbacker bass he was talking about...he said there was only 3 in existence..bet its sickasfuck..
gdub454 i think thats the bass he used to play back in the day. you can see it in "sober", music video and live. other old performances too
Damn that blue bass
When you interview the bass player of Tool but forgot your mic in the bathroom...💁
The interviewer is a bit of an idiot
dude if he handed me one of his basses and said "here you go," I would shit myself
Q: What's the name of the bass he used while playing with Tool?
shooz4unme wal

Those pick ups in the Precision, looks totally down in. Are they? Or is it he angle? Why would he has it like that?
for the love of God zomeone interview thiz man again
why is he holding onto his bass like that...thought he would give it back after the initial handling.
kodiak wild guy looked a little awkward. I don't think he really knew what to do with it after he checked it out.
Surely something went wrong or forgot to hit the on button. Why else wouldn't you use a decent mic?

It seemed like Justin appreciated talking about English Football, he probably hears Tool questions everyday.
Justin kinda looks like Gavin McInnes and a guy who lives down my street who has been to jail like four times
Bryan Lewis thank you for this enlightening information
lol
you katz are supposed to be musicians. you'd think you'd position the mics better.
PATMAN0910 i dont think the interviewer is actually a bassist/guitarist because he held his bass so foreign
mmmmmmm.....I can almost smell it already..and my stomach's a grumblin'...
Nah I think its still frozen
"Its in the oven" XD I take that as a reference to their music development method. ie, Maynard has the music and we are waiting...
who's the man bun fat boy who can't interview ?
damn you told him
Shitty audio.
