Why Oreki Is My Favorite Slice of Life Protagonist

I've been meaning to make this video for a while talking about Oreki and why I see him as one of the best slice of life main characters I've seen. I enjoyed making this video a lot and I hope you all enjoy it just as much.

I watched Hyouka in 7th grade. And then i end up taking his personality. And i missed out on a lot of fun. Now i hear that he was down right lazy. I feel bad. Good job on the video

I watched Hyouka and Oregairu around the eight grade and back then although i love anime i never really tried to read between the lines or try to see what the anime is really about or paid attention to the character development, and my English was pretty bad back then so it made understanding things harder as well. After watching these two shows i relate alot to hikigaya and oreki and I ended up basing my personality on them so I missed out alot of things in school, I didn't make any new friends in high school, i never participated in anything ended up with social anxiety and depression etc. But now that I re-watched the show i now realised that I was completely wrong, both shows were about them taking people into their lives, opening up to others, making friends and learning to enjoy life. Oreki who was satisfied with a grey lifestyle started looking at Chitanda through rose coloured lenses and yearns for a future with her . And Hikigaya, the guy who doesn't want anything to do with anyone except his sister wanted something genuine.
I took the worst part of these characters and made them my best parts and I didn't have a Chitanda, Yuigahama, Yukino or a Shikzuka sensei to pull me out so unlike them I ended up alone.

Thanks for being able to share this. This inspired me to make a Oregairu and Hyouka joint video in the future and talk about the main message/meaning that both anime were trying to show. I’m also glad because this gives me a chance to learn from others faults, so thank you
