- Islets is a metroidvania released earlier this year that was a lot of fun. The game has a cool map connecting mechanic, some fun movement, boss fights, and a lot of charm. Hope you enjoy my playthrough!

Snoot just sounds like the Zote of this particular game... although perhaps with a little more self awareness
Zote is little more than a nuisance, Snoot actively goes out of his way to make your life harder.

I played this game a few days after it came out, playing this blind is honestly amazing. It’s a great game, and the combat upgrades are unique, though they would probably need some balancing, since by the end of the game you can have a slam attack that reaches a quarter through the screen and gives you invincibility. Regardless, amazing game, 10/10 for me c:

Skurry please play Ender Lilies someday too, I think it's the best metroidvania ever after Hollow Knight.
I also would highly reccomend Ender Lilies, it was gorgeous and had just the right amount of challenge in it, plus the sound track was really fitting.

i think this game should get a sequal where iko, snoot and greybird all fly around as a trio, kinda like this game but with everyone, and maybe you ould switch between them for each of their own abilities or something simular
this is like a frog detective metroidvania, hell yeah
This game does kinda suffer from a lot of abilities only being useful in predetermined areas, but it still looks cool! The dev(s) did a great job, and I hope their next game is even better!
"the arrows arent useful compared to the sword" he says with zero upgrads on the arrows but multiple on his sword, and he still has barely used arrows at all.
I like that he litteraly NEVER UPGRADED HEALTH exept that one time

if you want another really good small metroidvania to play I recommend lone fungus. really cool movement and platforming. very good graphics and music too

Honestly this game is fantastic in terms of character designs and humour, a bit better enemy and layout designs and more refined combat system would make it a true gem

With more additions to the animations and the backgrounds and this game could be really good
I wish this game was slightly more polished, b/c that is one of the biggest things holding this game back. Like player attack patterns instead of just one stab, or smoother animations.

All the new Metroidvanias I see coming out have one great thing in common, and that's really interesting boss design. The airship bosses here are especially cool. I'm glad people are getting so creative with bosses these days. If I had only one critique of Hollow Knight, it'd be that it has way more mediocre/underbaked boss designs than good or great ones.
