I had that social job. Working with teenage girls. Doing cashier. Getting paid min wage with low hours. Made me miss doing dish. Doing my own thing. Putting my ear bud in and doing work.
Definitely not true, you need to stay in constant communication with your team, it's high pressure, and it is very labor demanding. This video was more than likely on a good slow day, it can get so much busier
That's the keep too yourself do your own thing type of job. I work in a hotel kitchen myself, that does banquet events as well. I do a little bit of everything in the kitchen, but when they want me working the dish tank I call it the "me" time. Blast some music and go to town.
That is Heaven right there! Yeah I just got a job and during the interview they told me I would be working with others washing the utensils and plates and cups but when I went into orientation they said I'd be by myself washing the pots and pans basically by hand lmao! Terrifying because I'll be by myself with not much experience but grateful because I'm either introverted or if I'm around someone I'll talk somewhat to fill the silence so alone would be the best for me. Wish I could blast music but it's not allowed at my job.
Or as a lot of dishwashers do, they climb the ladder to a position they want. Lol, being a dishwasher isn't always a permanent thing if you choose not to.
Yep! I quit one job but not because of the fact it felt as though my arms were falling off and my back hurt but because my manager was a drill sergeant I was like nope bye I'm out lol! But I was doing more then just dishwashing. Got a job just doing dishwashing so I don't think it will be as hard but I know my arms are gonna fall off probably or feel like they are like last time lmao!
***Don’t do it! Most restaurants have kitchens with toxic people; careless management; ONE dishwasher employee (you); and hard work will never be noticed!***
Yeah no shit my last restaurant that I work treated me like garbage and gave me shitty tips so glad I got out of that place and went to a better restaurant.
Unfortunately most chefs and staff use to treat dishwashers badly, we end up doing whatever they don’t like to do, including all the hard or nasty work like cleaning bathrooms, moping the floor, etc. But after some time we get use to, I’m so used to be yelled I don’t care anymore, it’s life.
Plus I only have one day of experience in dishwashing but I can say much because at home I dry my dishes with a towel or did that in the past now I know better haha.

Calm down buddy. If you are washing dishes and want extra money you just sell coke to the staff at 0% profit until the owner takes notice of your endeavor and introduces you to their millionaire friends and you make 100%+ profit. Easy $500/hr, 2 hrs a day, 3 days a week. That’s $156k/yr for 6 hrs/week work and all you have to do is wash some dishes and sell grams pro bono for a while America ain’t that bad of a place
this job is really hard, plates and pots keep coming and you can’t stop 1 minute or the kitchen will stop delivering food to customers. Yes safeserve or servesafe something like that. The Food Handlers Card costs $15 and they have other courses to. It took me 8 hrs to complete it because I was writing down word for word practically this is something I want to possibly do as a career not dishwashing all my life but possibly doing prep cooking at least not sure if I want to be a cook though.
My question is... Why do you need to make video of your job and you seem to be more concerned with the camera angle.. Good thing your not SLAMMED. Is your stuff... CLEAN when you put the stuff up?
