Excellent tutorial Rob! Your channel should be “required watching” for every player and this type of “basics” series that you take the time to research and record are invaluable especially to newer players. You Da Bomb Rob - KABOOSH!
I second this, Rob. I've learned more from your channel than anywhere else, although CrispPurpose and Tacet are great resources also. I still consult your older videos for sage advice about events, troop building and general play also. I do recommend your channel in my guild. I hope it gets you some views. Maybe if I told people how great your jokes are it would help... Nah
Also I noticed they are selling a lot of Dragonite (for real money) in the Legends Reborn event. You can get 800 Dragonite plus 16 purple books of deeds if you want to spend $80 (US). Those 16 purple books are tempting!
The trouble is with the 16 Purple Books of Deeds is that to get that, you HAVE to buy (real money) the Tier before (for Dragonite) which I ironically totally do not need!! 😀😂
ROB!!!! Thank You!!!! - Now I have to frame this Video and always come back to it--So much involved and information. I knew a few but definitely learnt more from your insight.
I've a very vague memory of Gnomes including the Dragonite one appearing as opponents in Arena. Arena is awful though and I stopped doing it a few months ago.
I just finished a G-a-P, where a Dragonite gnome showed up with around 50 seconds left. I did the waiting thing and ended up getting 20 Dragonite from him. Is that actually more? Can't remember what I'd get from one normally in a G-a-P. UPDATE: Did a second G-a-P after that and there were 2 Dragonite gnomes, which showed up fairly early, so I defeated them straight away. First gave 24, second 16, so...........not worth waiting and losing out on resources?
It usually does give a lot more than that when you only got 20 Dragonite. I have not done the timer thing for a while but if I recall the last time I did I got a really good amount, about 2-3 times more than usual. Maybe you were unlucky on the first one and super lucky on the second?! 🙂
@honestrob true, in haven't done it in awhile either, but the last gnome used to always give the max amounts from their drop table. Just to be sure, you need to complete the match after the music runs out. If you still heart the special music, it's not over yet.
@@honestrob I did another G-a-P today and encountered 2 Dragonite gnomes; got 29 from the first one and 9 from the second. Just seems all over the place for me.
@@genericfootyfan I did an Explore run for the 15 minutes bonus XP earlier and encountered 2 Dragonite gnomes; got 30 and 50. So, even though I do believe that the waiting thing works (have heard it in other places as well), it seems pretty random for me, so I'd rather just keep playing and not wait. :p
Ya. I've been trying for over a year now and have so many repeat dragons from the eggs that I might eventually get one done. But I'm not holding my breath lol
Buying the specific dragon costs 2000 Dragonite!! That is way too expensive and unbalanced. Stellarix costs 1100. A lower dragon shouldn’t cost almost twice as much as the main reward dragon. A fair price would have been 825 Dragonite (1.5 times the regular cost of a cosmic egg). I’ll still do it because I only need one more dragon and then I can craft Stellarix.
It's so you can pick up that last one. And considering people have gotten 10+ duplicates, 2k is so cheap. 😂 ask around and find out before you come to a quick conclusion.
It's expensive, but probably worth it if you have only ONE Dragon needed as it is guaranteed - if you need two or more, then maybe not so worth it. Have to have a little think on it! 825 is probably too cheap, I was expecting double the usual cost 🙂
@@zechs16 I had to craft 16 Cosmic Dragons in total (some have had it far worse), and a bunch of those were when chasing the last Cosmic Dragon. If you need just ONE dragon, I'd say it's definitely best to save for the 2K guaranteed option 🙂
@@zechs16 I don’t need to ask anyone. It’s expensive when it is almost 4 times the normal cost. I’m one of those people that have been getting duplicates for months and now I have to spend another 2000 more to get my last dragon. Given how many people have been complaining about the RNG process for these dragons, I thought they would give us a better deal.

@@ravenlunatic1430 Thank you Raven, appreciate the support! And you KNOW you *really* love my jokes 😉😊🙃
Thank you Rob! I asked, and you came through!
Yep, it was happening anyway, but good timing for you! 😀
Excellent and thorough tutorial. Just goes to show just how difficult it is to obtain Dragonite.
Thank you! Difficult yes, but it all adds up slow but sure! 🙂

You'll be surprised how much the Dragonite builds up 'in the background' as you just play the game!

Hi Rob, i need 1100 dragonite by Sunday probably not going to happen. Will the purple dtagon come back in 6 weeks or is it random every week?
Yea you are not going to get 1100 by Sunday! The Cosmic AND Gem dragons are on rotation, so will probably be 12 weeks before you see this one again!
Sweet!
Cheers! 😃🍬

@@wcellon with robs figures alone, 80% savings? That seems like a steal. 3.25 times or rng, to each their own, I know what I would choose.
