As much as I like the new upgrade system, I still think there can be better improvements especially for f2p players. Now I know some avenue of profits need to be taken but at least make progression through the game not explicitly linked to paying to progress. As it stands flyff PC requires a player to have at least a +8 set that provides enough accuracy with buffs at lvl 100 to even think of taking on mobs (110~115) least they grind unreasonable times due to the immense dodge and block rates of these mobs. That said the mob's scaling has been improved/changed so I can only be hopeful that meaningful progress will not be totally hindered by the pay to win aspects. I have played this game for years and this has always been the giant block and turn-off to me after hitting lvl 90-master. I didn't pay to win, and generally a casual would have a decent +3 awaked vagrant set on Flyff PC that basically propelled them through every level considering it was a 1v1 build. This was then compounded by those who could upgrade those sets to +10 allowing them to basically beat the game with a freaking lvl 10 set. To this end, I have seen private servers emulate a game called RF completely remove the need to pay for upgrades, instead switching the revenue streams to premium items to be used to cosmetics, boost parties, drop rates, damage, basically consumables. This in my opinion gives the developers an infinite tap for revenue while not completely destroying the balance of the game. (In RF there is no certain upgrade, you can and will lose your items if you risk upgrading, but this is in turn balanced out by having different upgrade material qualities like shown here to give different chances for success. This helped make the community be more active in gathering resources, items, and other materials since items can be destroyed at any point of the upgrade process, there is no guaranteed path. In turn this will also serve as a good penya-sink AKA in-game money sink to prevent infinite inflation which is currently an issue for flyff PC. Thanks to needing to frequently get items for upgrades currency will be shifted around more outside of just the upgrade costs for the NPCs)

Im very looking forward to finally play past the crane machineries. I love elementors but the economy and the exp curve made it very hard for them to level up safely for them if you were not rich. Which meant elementors got like 5 levels of play before paying
I stayed at those cranes much longer than you're supposed to, just out of spite. When a random lagspike would cause me to lose hours of work at other spots, it just wasn't worth it. I had that crane spot corralled like a sheepdog, it was great.
I’d love to see an in-depth look at what the dungeons in the game offer and what violet monsters to look out for in them since that will be a great way to farm for some scrolls

What version of FlyFF had your skills upgrade the more you used them? That was when I joined and was sad to see them remove that progression but I guess it was to fight against botting/AFK players nonstop using the same skill

I hope it all lasts and this becomes the 1 server everyone stays on. I haven't logged into the game since they wiped "inactive" accounts a year or two ago. Took a half year break from the game and my precious account I've held onto since childhood went poof 🥺
If Spro-Lows reduce the level by 1 whenever you fail, there is not a reason to use them on higher levels at all. The way these chances are weighted makes upgrading with spro-lows very very costly
Hello, I have a question for collecting minerals. There are different types of collecting weapons that can be used for collecting minerals, what are the differences between them? Does one collects faster or collects more minerals than cheaper ones?
Im trying to upgrade an axe with an element card.. figured out the doozy of the mining system... alright i thought, now i can get a desperately needed elemental boost. however the OK box is greyed out and theres no reason why..? i do see 2 scroll slots but i didnt think i needed them too? my build is dependent on having an elemental charged weapon so its kind of annoying that i have to try so hard and am still met with a roadblock. if you can help me out i would appreciate it, thanks
That's interesting, typically I only get that message right when I finish collecting from a catcher. A couple rules to note: You can only kill and collect one catcher at a time per group per area. You can not collect catcher materials from catchers killed by someone outside your group.

Shining Dice are implemented for testing, but the features to go along with them are likely still in development. Hopefully one day we'll learn more! Thanks again for the support N4 :)
No offence but like you gotta spend real $ to buy S/G scrolls and they get USED when you attempt. to get a full set of armour is like $200USD. "Not pay to win" is not really applicable from my understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong though please.
As mentioned, you can also spend an inordinate amount of time farming rare monsters for low drop chances for the scrolls. So you can pay or you can take a second full-time job as a Violet Monster Hunter. That said, once the mad dash to the finish line is done, fully upgraded sets will start to be available for sale and come down in price some. That will always be cheaper than upgrading yourself anyway.

I see many players playing with dual character for fast progres but how can you dual account if you only playing at your cp. Cant even upgrade my gears for progres because you need scrolls. How can get scrolls if you cant even kill at easy mobs.

Yes, that's correct. For piercing suits, however, you always need a protecting scroll to prevent breakage.

You use it till +5 or +6 only. Anything beyond that is low success rate and it will be a waste of resources

Great question! Higher quality collector weapons collect more minerals per enemy than lower quality collector weapons.

You can earn all scrolls by killing Violet monsters :)

Good question. I haven't done much mobile testing beyond leveling, but it's an important factor to consider in how you prepare for PvP.
