Well down in New Orleans at the Golden Goose I grabbed a green-eyed dolly that was on the loose Well I dig that music, well she said me too I said pretty baby come on and let's do The Dixieland rock Well the Dixieland rock Let your hair down sugar shake it free And do the Dixieland rock with me With the blue light shining on her swinging hips She got the drummer so nervous that he lost his sticks The cornet player hit a note that's flat The tromboner hit him while the poor cat sat The Dixieland rock Well the Dixieland rock Let your hair down sugar shake it free And do the Dixieland rock with me I was all pooped out and when the clock struck four But she said no daddy can't leave the floor She wore a clinging dress that fit so tight She couldn't sit down so we danced all night The Dixieland rock Well the Dixieland rock Let your hair down sugar shake it free And do the Dixieland rock with me Let your hair down sugar shake it free And do the Dixieland rock with me

King Creole and this song Dixieland Rock Show with the right management and direction Elvis could have been Abri blues and jazz singer and dramatic actor movies like Jailhouse Rock King Creole flaming star wild in the country songs like like a baby and feels so right give me the right show what kind of Direction Elvis should have taken he had to tell him to be a great jazz and blues musician and a dramatic actor too bad Colonel Parker didn't do the right thing by Elvis Dixieland rock is definitely a classic one Elvis's best recordings
@Elvis Presley 00 thanks for sharing I love all Elvis's early work the rock and roll the blues the rockabilly and it's early movies I really love loving you Jailhouse Rock King Creole flaming star Wilde in the country and Kid Galahad I love the tradition of tough kid movies Elvis was so good at playing and I like the blues his Blues was the best so glad you're mine New Orleans reconsider baby ain't that loving you baby like a baby it feels so right that Elvis I love so much the cool Rebel that sings the blues that was part of his routes and what he was best at too bad the colonel took him away from that so sad he had to do movies like paradise Hawaiian style and easy come easy go those movies don't display the real Elvis My favorite Elvis time was 1956 to 1962 he should have done movies like Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum and sing more Blues tracks leg like a baby he would have been happier in touch with himself and still alive thanks have a blessed New Year love the early Elvis
@Elvis Presley 00 Fame and Fortune is a beautiful ballad one of my favorites of the early sixties I also like the something blue there's always me home is where the heart is even though I like the rock and roll Rebel Elvis I thought the early sixties was his best time for Ballad singing his voice was amazing the ability to go high and low with such ease and flexibility is freezing in his voice control in the early sixties was incredible I love the 50s Elvis so much but the early sixties Elvis is rather overlooked early 60s Nashville Elvis between 60 and 62 was incredible Fame and Fortune there's always me something blue home is where the heart is my top four Elvis ballads my favorite Elvis movie is Kid Galahad I think it was a beautiful movie thank great acting good cast thank you
@Elvis Presley 00 I also would like to share Elvis is versatility as a singer and an actor which I don't think too many people can see if you looked at Jailhouse Rock then you look at Kid Galahad then the movie like Viva Las Vegas and Charro you can see that he had the ability to play different characters with ease he has a tough guy pretty boy look combination so he can be happy go lucky and and tough and brooding at a drop of a hat then going to Westen to have that ability to play different characters naturally takes a lot of talent so he could do lightweight comedy and heavy drama his management team should have took better care of his talents instead of squandering them end his versatility as a singer out of this world if you listen to Dixieland Rock then Fame and Fortune and then you listen to Gentle on my mind and wearin that loved on look you can see the different styles and different voices is guy was able to singi in Elvis was just amazing talent he did not get the roles he always deserved in the movies but he had the ability to play every character differently which is amazing I think he would have been great in The Big Valley I think he would have been great as James Bond I think he could have done West Side Story Elvis could have done anything I hope he gets more credit for his acting abilities one day and he needs to win award the most versatile singer of the 20th century thank you

Elvis Presley isn't really gone just as long we remember him.
Well down in New Orleans at the Golden Goose
I grabbed a green-eyed dolly that was on the loose
Well I dig that music, well she said me too
I said pretty baby come on and let's do
The Dixieland rock
Well the Dixieland rock
Let your hair down sugar shake it free
And do the Dixieland rock with me
With the blue light shining on her swinging hips
She got the drummer so nervous that he lost his sticks
The cornet player hit a note that's flat
The tromboner hit him while the poor cat sat
The Dixieland rock
Well the Dixieland rock
Let your hair down sugar shake it free
And do the Dixieland rock with me
I was all pooped out and when the clock struck four
But she said no daddy can't leave the floor
She wore a clinging dress that fit so tight
She couldn't sit down so we danced all night
The Dixieland rock
Well the Dixieland rock
Let your hair down sugar shake it free
And do the Dixieland rock with me
Let your hair down sugar shake it free
And do the Dixieland rock with me

@Elvis Presley 00 I made a mistake with my spelling sorry I meant to say his phrasing in the early 60s was untouchable on ballads thanks again

Love this
I never noticed it before but seeing The Jordanaires playing the trombone, trumpet and clarinet is just too wild. That's one cool backup vocal group.
Супер!!! Класс!!!Браво!!!
Che bellooooo🧛😍😍😍❤️🎸🎺
A band is blowing double 4/4 time. Rockin’
That's great! But this recording is a bit accelerated. Elvis' voice is distorted and sounds higher.
Legenda nad legendama ❤️🙏💯
Great song
Very similar to jailhouse rock 🪨
He was the hottest thing then & forever more!
KING !.....NO IFS NO BUTS !🤴
