In this video you will see my honest review of Iberostar Selection Cancun.
I think this hotel is perfect for families with kids because the hotel offers Kids Club services, has a fun kids pool, there are a lot of other families here so your kids will have many other kids to play with. Also the hotel offers so many activities all throughout the day its also quite entertaining to watch other people participate. But if you want a quiet vacation this may not be the best hotel for you or I suggest you spend your day by the beach, it's more quiet there. Here are some shortcuts to topics that may interest you:

We stayed at Iberostar Cancun 3weeks ago! Had the best times!!! Beautiful clean resort, and great friendly staff! All inclusive, yummy Buffet was really good (breakfast/lunch/dinner), and we enjoyed the restaurants too (make reservations as they book fast) Bistro, Japanese, steak house, American, 24hr cafe, snack bars located by the pool/beach area. Drinks up whoo hoo, fun activities in the pool, aqua marine blue ocean, palm trees, watch beautiful sunrise/sunset, also hammocks to relax in

We were just there a couple of weeks ago. Honestly one of the best resorts.they make you feel so welcome. One time the concierge literally went around the whole resort helping me go look for some change. If you go make sure you try their roast beef or breakfast ham. I WISH I WAS STILL THERE

Great video you guys..Loved how you identified everything as you walked along. That's very helpful. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much h, Steve S

Hi! So happy for you, you will have an amazing time at this hotel If you are traveling with no kids I suggested to check out Coral hotel right next to Iberostar main building (it's Iberostar too, just other building and adults only, it's built more recently, has a more modern vibe) No I haven't been in other Iberostar hotels. I am a picky eater thats why I prefer buffet, there is always something delicious for me there thats why I didn't try all the restaurants, but I read tripadvisor reviews and a lot of them say that japanese restaurant and steakhouse was amazing. @@PoolsideTravels Thank you. We are traveling with kids but have been to the iberostar Grand in Jamaica. You are right, the buffets have so much good food it’s often times the best choice for dinner.

When was this filmed? I know hotel zone has a seaweed problem in the summer, but the water looks really clear here
This was filmed last spring, the water was perfect and any seaweed the beach had was cleaned up every morning by hotel staff. From what I have read in Tripadvisor forums, you can't really predict when and for how long the beaches will be affected by seaweed. For example I have went to Mexico in January for 2 years in a row and one year the beach was beautiful and the second year it was covered in piles of seaweed...

No, this hotel is one big hotel, they have Iberostar Coral hotel next door, but if you stay at Iberostar main building you can't go there, but if you stay at Coral you can go to both properties.

Hi! During the day they have dancing lessons and foam parties where people are dancing. In the evenings/during the night there is a sports bar that is open and it's like a club people go dancing there. Hope this helps 😊
Great video....was there a dress code for the buffet? I know some buffets you can't wear sleeveless shirts or tank tops to dinner
Hi! Thank you! Nope, no dress code. Just the usual, can't go naked, barefooted or just in your swimingsuit 🙂
Did they provide water in water bottle?
Hi! No, you have two glass bottles in your room that you can fill up in special areas or you have to know which bartender you tip to get a plastic bottle 😅 At least that's how it was when I visited.
Does they have lazy river?
No, they don't have a lazy river.

which is better paradisus cancun or ibero?
Hi! In my opinion Paradisus Cancun is way better than Iberostar. Costs very similar but you get way more in Paradisus. Everything there is better - rooms newer, hotel newer, staff nicer, food better etc.

Look at the comment above your comment, I explain, that this was shot a year ago, but I read quite a bit of Tripadvisor reviews from people that have just visited the hotel and it seems that everything runs basically the same as before except a few safety measures like wearing masks, keeping the distance etc.

This video was filmed at the beginning of pandemic, the masks were not mandatory then. I am sure they take safety measures very seriously now.
