In the Army in the 80s and 90s, depending on where I was stationed, 90s and 100s° summer weather happened. We still trained and fought.

this has been one of the coolest summers i've experienced in a while.... almost entire spring temps were in the 60s and 70s and only got to 80s in june, only 1 or 2 days so far hit 90, this is the least sweaty summer i can remember for myself

Whenever we hear about record heat, the only logical question has to be: when did they start keeping records
Late 19th century. We have nearly 150 years of records. I've actually looked back to the 1980s in my area and the temperatures back then were much colder in general than they are now.

Try most of the country over 90 degrees, much of the country and parts of southern Canada over 100 degrees, some parts of the country and parts of southern Canada over 110 degrees and California over 120 degrees. Try nighttime temperatures over 100 degrees in some areas.
