I love your videos ! Besides being informative, they make you feel like you’ve taken a little vacation break ! Beautiful scenery and music ! Thank you !
Our first visit was back in 2013 and we fell in love with the place. We went back there twice and looking forward to spending time there again when Europe opens for international visitors. Pictures don't do the justice such a lovely place .
Annicey .What a really beautiful European French village to spend several casual days in the late summer! It is near Switzerland and reminded me a little of Incline Village of Lake Tahoe-a sort of near-Swiss copied village in Nevada/California north of Reno,NV. It has those relaxed people and very olde time village restaurant or pub places where you can walk up along the old streets and sit outdoors on patios and share a pot of Fondue, and taste the Wines ! I'm a California wine lover and glad to have had the pleasures of European products! Food in Annecey was more preferable to my tastes than in Paris. On the train we took to get down there to Annesey from Paris, trying a pizzette margherita with basil was nice, but in France if you are American used to the cheeses there, you will definitely notice a degree of difference to your tasting and stomach quite apparent of the cheeses in France!! Things we take for granted from USA will SURPRISE you the difference! It can take your American stomach/pallette some time to adjust properly so that the products can REALLY be tastefully acquired. The train ride was long but well worth it. I enjoyed charming nonstop country side scenery of lively ,rustic old (antique even even ancient middle ages looking buildings)of stone, and more ,beautiful romantic old farm homes, barns, windmills and sprawling green mostly flatlands, simple and uncluttered hardly many buildings per farm areas and long ,old, dirt roads, long stretched...Flower /botanical farming was excellent sights. Quiet, EXTREMELY NEAT WELL KEPT tidy and prim and simple countryside scenery. Envy! Big difference between the way stuff looks and how kept and arranged from Europe compared to the USA countryside and farmlands. Weather was beautiful and clean fresh air in France and Switzerland! This was just around the start period of the much talked about CERN portal, barely had begun I believe.
Been there, you are right, it is beautiful and lots of good restaurant. The lake got the fame of "the cleanest lake in Europe". We didn't go to the Chateau, Thanks for making it up for me.
Next time I go there I hope to be as if I'm in the middle of the screenplay scenes with Carry Grant and Sophia Loren or something...Grace Kelly. We have to be there in such wardrobes, cars and scenes, hotel and restaurant decor of such! Driving around in their cars speaking with fine accents. Then we need a good plot. The Fondue is perfect centerpiece of all this and wine!
I was there in August and September returned about 3 days before 9-11! Flying on Virgin Atlantic some type of express out of New York. In First Class on plane (usually I don't take a 1st class seat-Ill sit in last row or right next an emergency exit window ready for the chance possibility of such occasion so if it comes I'm ready to function and be certain to GET OUT!!) BUT ...on Virgin flight we had chairs that convert into a full horizontal for naps. Really went by fast (flight to England) due to nonstop champagne service, they tried to bring you a lobster omelette or a NY steak, a filet mignon, top quality world burgers, cheesecakes, ice cream, salads, etc etc etc. And I mean literally EVERY 15 MINS!)! ISNT THAT CRAZY!!! 16 hrs. If remember correctly. Good thing I went to Europe finally for a few weeks and tried a Virgin 1st class, because after that- right up to 3days prior to 9-11 this whole world of experiences WOULD NEVER BE SAME AGAIN!!! travels especially.
Hi! Unfortunately most European countries are closed for Tourism from North America unless you are a legal resident (I'm an American but am a legal resident of Switzerland, for example). Hopefully the situation is under control soon so we can all travel more freely again! xx Alexis
It isn’t yet 😢 we are US passport holders and we are in Ukraine right now and just spent a month in Turkey ( both open to Americans now). Croatia, Serbia, and Albania are also open if you are looking for some places to go :) we love love loved turkey. We only have a few videos out so far but more coming and Lviv in Ukraine is a gorgeous, very European feeling city at a fraction of the cost!
Europeans really keep and care well for their very olde streets and buildings dating way back it seems to the middle ages, something like that. You'll expect to see maidens dressed in those little white shirt and blue skirt and straps and ruffled aprons and knee socks. Yodeling . Blonde ponytails. Putting tally score marks behind the curtain on the wall or something maybe to track inventory 😁🙄
What a lovely town. It’s like a fairytale village!
This little city is so cute, made for pictures! And the color of the water is crazy!
I love your videos ! Besides being informative, they make you feel like you’ve taken a little vacation break ! Beautiful scenery and music ! Thank you !
Was just there. The Tar Tar was the only thing I couldn’t t eat. The local Reblochon cheese is my new favourite.
