Original apple watch was released in April of 2015 so 9 years ago.

The renders are based on leaks and rumors from sources such as Mark Gurman, 9to5Mac, MacRumors, etc. We just extrapolated off of what was leaked to come up with a design that we thought was plausible.

Does apple watch need to be thinner? No. Does it need to have bigger battery capacity? Absolutely.
no need for bigger battery, just make cpu a little bit slower, but more power efficient, nobody needs watches that are faster than iphone 7 lol. Source - look up transisters, clocks and core count and add a15 architecture
I actually this is Apple’s worst product! Battery life is terrible and progressively gets worst with all the new tech added.
Tbh if they can’t adapt the product to be thinner then they can’t increase battery life without making the preexisting product thicker which wouldn’t really be wise to do with the current standards for smart watch aesthetics. (For most the biggest reason why people go with an Apple Watch-they like the way it looks and matches their iPhone. I know there’s more to it than that but the general public doesn’t really look into tech as much as we do) This is a marketing scheme to buy them time to get that battery upgrade without losing market presence while transitioning.
If they can make the battery just as effective as it is now in a thinner case, then down the road they can go back to a thicker case similar to past cases with a better battery without compromising the functionality of the watch.
Then the device will slim down again, rinse and repeat.
If the size of the watch is getting smaller, then obviously the battery has seen improvements even if they’re not practically identifiable.
The improvement we’re getting now we actually see in a few years from now most likely.

Updating the Apple watch seems to be a much bigger thing than updating phones. I'm all about the new health features!

On my series 6, when I unlock my iPhone 13 mini with faceid it unlocks the watch without me having to touch the screen

FaceID would be so intuitive-the simple act of looking at my Apple Watch would unlock it. The FaceID feature could be further secured by linking it with sensing that you're wearing the Watch, AND the accelerometers sensing the action of raising your arm and angling it so that you're looking at the watch face. This could make sure that you are consciously/deliberately intending to activate it rather than someone removed it and pointed it at your face. Could even be linked to your biometrics-if it detects rapidly increased stress levels (e.g., sudden jump in heart rate because you're being mugged), the Watch could stay locked, and even lock your iPhone and/or iPad if it's on your person; depending, of course, on how you've configured your security settings.
I type in my passcode once whenever I put it on, roughly once every second day, I don’t think it’s a big thing, how are you “so sick” of it? Do you need to take it off and put it on several times a day?

Smartwatch. If you look up smartwatches, the only non-circle watches I see are FitBits and Apple Watches.

I think magnetic band is a bad idea for a one reason, some professions might have their watch more of a chance to break since it can get caught onto objects like walls or something and rip the watch off from the band making the watch more prone to break especially if the magnets aren't gonna be strong. Look at magsafe, sure its a good idea, but it isn't exactly perfect.
I get Apple likes to do things to add new features, but I feel like magnetic watch bands is a bad idea once you use it in daily usage and they could've found a way to make the watch bands thinner or something.
I agree lmao, when I had my series 7 before going to the series 9, I had the magnetic leather link band on it and I got it snagged on something and my watch flew off and got a dent in the stainless steel casing😂
Not to mention if you work anywhere near fine metal dust it's going to be a problem
If they change the band system I will NOT buy the X. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on bands. I’m not gonna replace them all.

Me after spending 1300$ on the Hermes edition series 9🥲 these are kinda old rumors tho, we heard all this much earlier in the year and there really hasn’t been too many new rumors on the Apple Watch series 10. Maybe we’ll get thinner bezels if Apple can replicate tightening the copper coils for the bezel like what’s rumored for the iPhone 16.

10 years… I still remember the excitement when I got the very first Apple Watch and how it used to weird me out every time I got a notification and it buzzed my wrist… it still sits in my drawer and it won’t boot for some reason…
I’ve been using the series 4 since launch day, it’s surprisingly holding up well, never babied it.. and the battery lasts me a good day still.

So did they intro truetone on the Apple Watch yet? It’s really annoying to see the Color temperature different on the watch then the iPhone.
Loved the loud sensor feature. I was able to put in ear plugs because of the notice! Made me love the watch just a bit more and all new way.
Like rounded rectangle watch shape especially ultra just would be nice if it was thinner, also if app icons were same shape 3x3 on screen to scroll through, ai hopefully

I hope the magnets are good! I bought Apples Leather Magnetic link for my Apple Watch 9. It worked well, for Apple; after jumping out of a bus the Apple watch went from my hand to under the bus tire. I think the main problem with the ordinary Apple watch is battery time. With series 9 watch I had some trouble before destroing it, and I actually think it was a overheating problem as I used the Penauts Snoopy watch face, which was random and with a lot of movement.
Shall I get Apple Watch series 9 or should I wait for the Apple Watch X guys?
My wife and I are getting older and on the fly BP monitoring is a reason to upgrade. I don’t understand how they get a readout with a BP pressure cuff, but I’m interested to find out.

I know that you focus on the new product, but how does it stack up against the Ultra 2? And I still recall that Apple was slapped hard on the wrist over the medical chipset in the watch. For 2024 I still think about finding an Ultra 2 in Europe with the first chipset.
Concept designs look great, but I feel like the jump from the series 3 to series 4 and the series 6 to series 7 were a lot more substantial. Doesn’t feel like a design revolution with what the iPhone X brought
If Apple changes to a magnetic band connector in the new watch I REALLY hope that they also find a way to continue supporting existing bands too!
Over the last decade I've cultivated a pretty large collection of bands that I love wearing for different occasions. It'd be a shame if I and others were to lose the ability to use our existing band collections just because Apple wanted a little more space inside the watch. Maybe this is a hot take, but I'd gladly give up getting a slightly larger battery if it means I can keep using my existing bands without issue.
Got to assume the new watch will have better connectivity with the vision pro. Maybe more "neural" type movements like that double tap thing added last year. Nothing listed here sounds like much of a leap forward - same form factor and basic feature set. Nothing that gets someone with a series 6 or later watch jealous

I like the current bands. I just up graded to se 2 iwatch had the first se for 3.5 yrs no problems but my provider offered new model for free with a phone line which is 10.00 a month my thinking is 1st watch would probably need battery soon, I notice no difference between the 2, except this one has cellular service so you can leave your phone. Blood Glucose meter would be nice.

On your images, it looks like the same amount of space is being cut out for the band connection.
We designed it so that the band connectors at the end aren’t removable, that way they wouldn’t take up the space that is required for them to slide in and out. Instead the watch bands are supposed to magnetically attach themselves to the band connectors at the end of the watch. Hope that makes sense!
Yeah I was confused, I know its only a mock up but the design doesn't look 'revolutionary'? I wonder if the X will actually end up being that different and not just add these few changes that that do not seem very mindblowing at all :(

@@ConceptCentral I think I was thinking that like the band would physically come off of the watch itself rather than being secured to it and adjustable via magnetic enclosure. I think I just pictured it wrong my bad.

I only charge my Apple Watch SE 2 every two nights. It does last over 18 hours for me and has for more than a year. 🤷♀️
Know Labs also has non-invasive blood glucose monitoring and they are currently going through FDA approval.
I have the series 5 so I’m getting this when it comes out. I love the number 1 or 10 so this is for me. Although I’m tempted to get the 9 when the x comes out first cheaper.

If Apple or tech can develop a battery for the watches that can, under heavy use, give us 5 days or more , then I would consider one

The blood pressure sensor is HUGE. High blood pressure runs in my family so this may be the thing that finally makes me upgrade from my series 5
The question is: how precise will be the blood pressure monitor? Well, it should be quite precise - not very precise. Ir it would only indicate tendencies, it would be very deceiving!
I don’t think action button is coming on thr regular version. It’s just like the pros only getting action buttons but the regular 15s kept the switch.
Honestly I have no issues with battery life. I put my watch on at 0530 when I get up, I take it off at 10 pm and turn it off. I really don’t care about sleep tracking. I have had several other watches including the Garmin Mk2i and yeah those watches last 7+ days but you’re trading off functionality and adding heft. I love my AWU and how it allows me to do a quasi-disconnect. I can leave my phone at home, but still have connectivity if people need to reach me, but without the giant phone screen in my hand. I do this a lot on the weekends so I can be more present with my family.
I hope it has a FaceTime camera under the screen and it should be able to connect to multiple iPhones, MacBooks & iPads.

I think I they make large bezels for the sake of making yearly upgrades. They need something to upgrade so they make the bezel .75mm smaller each year. There is no need for a bezel anymore. I have an Apple Watch 4 and literally it’s the exact same thing as the latest model except for ‘always on’ and bezels. Sure maybe it’s faster but how much faster does one need for the Apple Watch? I love my AW, but it’s still missing something… maybe the new upgrade will fill the void

I just upgraded my series one to a series 6 and man it is a game changer the only reason why I upgraded is because the screen popped out but it still works. Just need to superglue it back in but it only holds a charge for like four hours
