I have great memories of camping with my family on the northern Oregon coast when I was a kid. Back in the 1960's there was a lot more of the Peter Iredale wreck intact than there is now. Someday, the wreck will be gone and only the story will remain, but the beauty of the Northwest coast is forever unchanged.
What a beautiful time of year to go. Thanks for the video and all the great sights in the area. We are headed there this weekend for a week. Im sure it wont be as quite
Yes, it is a great place. I hope you enjoy but bring lots of bug repellent. There is a lot of standing water in the park and you may encounter mosquitos if it has been warm.
Liked and subscribed: We were thinking of going camping next month and Fort Stevens looks great for hiking. My husband is gluten free and having a place to treat ourselves is a real plus.
Enjoy. We love this park! A word of caution about camping there in the summer. There is a lot of standing water which means there could be a mosquito problem. I would call ahead and speak with the ranger station to find out if there are any problems.

Yes, it occurred to us as well that the wreck will not be around forever, but it is a magical place, for sure!

Well done! We’re going there this summer. New subscriber 😊
Thanks! Make sure you bring the bug repellent. There is a TON of standing water in the park and that means mosquitos! Travel safe!
@@averagejoesrvliving1111 I have heard that about Oregon in general in the summer, and mosquitoes 🦟 love me! Thanks for the warning!
That is one tiny 5th wheel
