Are these terms/words/phrases that my ideal clients use to describe their problems and deepest desires? This will help you hone your 'I help' statement as you talk more and more with your ideal clients on calls, via email, etc. :)

I'm struggling to define my niche and 'I help' statement. I used to work as a video editor with small production companies, but now I work solo after moving. I’m not comfortable planning or filming shoots on my own and am having trouble connecting with local production companies. I need clients who already have footage or are open to using stock footage since it's tough to explain how much work goes into creating original content.
@@Rebecca-qg8pb yeah. Or create a true one but showcase what you can offer and no need to mention where you applied it. because I came from a school where I used those skills? also in an office where I used those skills. Cuz I have skills for real.
@@michailajordinneponce7128 yes showcase what u can offer, people will hire u to help them not because of status, if they see u know what u are doing they would hire u because they want to get their money worth. But if they ask there is nothing wrong saying it is a sample copy showcasing your skills, they are hiring u for the skills after all, not the clients u worked for. Hope this helps 😊

Hey Meghna! I think Content Writer is perfectly okay to start! Once you discover your target clients/industry/niche, then you can get more specific on your title. If you want to write for a specific platform, I would already clarify that (e.g. RUclips Script Writer, etc) -- but if you're open to all platforms, I think leaving it as Content Writer is clear. Your "I help" statement is a good start! It is a bit long, and it doesn't tell me what's in it for the client beyond the content writing. Why do they want good content? How does it benefit their business to have well-researched and consistent content output? And can you make your statement more succinct? (E.g. I don't think 'as per their requirements' is necessary - that's kind of assumed when you work with a client.)
