hey. can you do a gpro superlight 2 unboxing. cant seem to find any good ones on YT proper detailed unboxing and differences to the gpro superlight
Great review, if you don't mind using the mixline software and confirm whatever you can play music through the mic channel to the ps5 or not?
Also I noticed that the mic quality isn't that great compared to other reviews? Is it because the Xbox?

Mic wise its a interesting one I try to record on the 'other' device to give a better idea of the quality.

I would only like to know 2 things.
1- if the jack connection is still possible through a jack to type C adapter to connect to an audio mixer.
2-If the error where the crown came off the earphone is solved, like generation 4.

Mine finally shipped. I'm really excited to try it out, I'm probably going to use them exclusively for consoles since I already have a great headset and amp for my pc. I've been using the Audeze Maxwell and they are great but can't really use them for long sessions because of how heavy they are.

Question, I currently have the A50 Gen 4s. I stream and play on xbox but I set up an audio extractor with the optical port so my headset can be plugged into my PC and can still hear game sound and use my party on xbox game bar. Can you still hear PC audio while the base station is set to Xbox or PS?
Is the build quality better on these than the 4th gen Astro A50’s?
I trust Logictech and have been a user of their products for decades. Looks like this A50X checks most of your boxes and performs great for the price. 👍👍

I have the LG 27GP950-B do you know if there is also the problem with the monitor? And another question to the monitor In some games when I start them there I have a black screen how can I fix it ?
Are these a big upgrade over the gen 4 if I just play Xbox? I bought a replacement base station through Astro but it still is finicky charging in the base, the lights just cycle back and forth. Always have to plug it in

Great review! I have the LG Gp950B so I’m glad I seen this video before I ordered a $350 headset for it to reduce my resolution. Hopefully they’ll come out with a fix via update soon. If you come across a fix or they update it could you drop a comment or video? I’d love to get it but that’s a deal breaker for sure. Again, great review!subscribed!
I have the A50x and same monitor and have the same issue as in the video. Word around the internet is they are aware of the issue and it will be fixed with the next firmware update from Logitech.
@justin_TCG do you know if they fixed the problem? I want to buy the A50x but I want to make sure they work properly on the LG GP950B. Plss let me know if they work
@@michaelperez7123 As of today there is still no real fix from Logitech. They seem to be aware of the issue and there are a few work arounds for PS5 that will get 4k 120 and full sound working but just have to see if itv works for you.
1:11 Thank you for showing the cables in detail. I thought I was disqualified from this headset because I'm using a displayport and it would have had to passthrough. Im using PC only.

How is the headband kept in place as my problem with the astro a50 the headband kept falling off
after 3 months of ownership, the boom mic became loose and kept dropping so instead of a warranty claim (which may have taken weeks) i knew this was an issue on old A50's, i had to use a hair dryer to warm up the glue that held the felt cover on the left ear cup so i could get to the 4 screws, unscrew those, locate the screw for the boom mic, and tighten it up a little, now better than new, unexpected design fault for something so expensive, but easy to fix

You can only do that if you connect your PC via Bluetooth and PS5 via LightSpeed. You can't have 2 LightSpeed connections at the same time.

Could I have the a50x connected to both my pc and ps5 but have the pc connected to a monitor and the ps5 to a tv? I like to use my ps5 with my oled tv and my gaming pc with my monitor. Thanks!
What I'm curious about is that if I connect to the PS4 via SDIF like gen4 and connect to the PC via USB and then select Astro A50 voice on the PC, I was able to transmit sound from both the PS4 and PC at the same time. Is that possible with the Astro A50x as well?
Does mic quality suffer in ps5 party’s? I’ve heard it pretty bad but it’s fine in Xbox and pc
I’ve ALWAYS been a Astros guy and I recently switched to PC gaming with my Astro A50 gen 4 headset and I found out the bit rate on those is locked at 16 bit 48000hz so games like warzone the directional audio is different to determine. So my question is. Are these new A50X Astros upgraded to the 24 bit 48000 hz sound bit rate? If not then I’ll probably be switching to the SteelSeries arctic nova pro wireless cause they are cheaper and come with 24 bit 48000hz bit rate…
Any help with settings up with an HD60x? I have from to ps5 > hdmi in on elgato > hdmi out(elgato) to hdmi in (a50x dock) > monitor (hdmi out) a50x dock. I’m getting nothing but audio. Thanks
Skip the hdmi for the the docking station just connect via usb to your ps5

hi, great video. Here is the summary of the question: I would like to order the Astro A50 X in white version for use on PS5 only. I would like to use this model without the HDMI relay because I want to avoid any form of latency. Is it possible to operate by usb without HDMI? If so, what are the changes to cable and HDMI usage? Is it only the mixed cat?
Thanks, yes you can just plug it in via the usb c on the docking station and the usb a cable on the console and not use the hdmi pass though and that works.

Hdmi grabs the audio signal and usb for the console to see the headset and use the mic
I've been having compatibility issues with my LG c1. Sometimes it'll work and sometimes it just shows up invalid format. So i gave up on using the hdmi and just have the usb plugged in on my ps5. Hopefully a firmware update for the base station will fix compatibility issues. It's got like 40gbps of bandwidth, way more than the ps5 even outputs. So i don't think that's the issue.

@@Dylan-od2mp i got lg 27gp950 gaming monitor. I dont even get video output thru base stations. Did pretty much everything. Hope you resolve your issue and if you could help me with mine too. Just got the headsets today lol
@@Sohype23 you have to uncheck allow 4k on Xbox and I’m assuming drop down the resolution to 1440p
I have 32GQ750-B monitor and have two HMDI 2.1 cords and followed the tutorial on how to set up Astro a50X to the PS5 did all that and I still have a black screen and when I disconnect everything and hook up just the HMDI that came with the PS5 it works
Check if your monitor or headphones need a firmware update

Mines is saying the same thing after I hook up my Xbox. Why is it saying your tv setup doesn’t support Dolby vision? Am I getting the full experience on my Astro a50x. Is there a fix?
Its fine, your TV doesn't support Dolby Vision not an issue
How long is the split cable? The one that connects to the pc usb port and the outlet.

@GeekStreet dam that's a deal breaker for me. Will just stick to the pro 2 x cause they have bigger drivers and can be taken where ever you want.
I have the same issue with my Astro a50x I can’t get picture on the monitor I have an Eve spectrum
As a temporary solution, just plug in the usb to your console only and don't use docking station hdmi pass though just connect console's HDMI cable directly to your TV or monitor.

So i got them today. i can hear audio from my ps5 in astro a 50 x but the base station isnt outputting the video into my gaming monitor (lg 27gp950) as welll. i am so confused. checked all the connections and did all the settings that logitech support told in the video
That's the same issue I had when testing, definitely a compatibility issue with that monitor as a temporary solution skip the hdmi cables and just connect via usb to the hub.

Unfortunately It won't display anything on my Acer Predator X32 FP. It's really annoying that they made a product that won't work with all HDMI 2.1 displays. I guess I'll use it with just the usb connection for now until the new 32 inch OLED monitors get released. I have a feeling it's going to work perfectly with those, But we won't know until they release. It's a shame i can't get a video signal through the station, It still sounds fantastic so I'm not too upset, But for the price it shouldn't have compatibility issues.

This is not working with my Elgato HD60X
If my headset is turned off my OBS picks up sound from the capture card and my console.
But if I turn on the headset it no longer picks up sound.

No, only bluetooth and lightspeed to the console/PC but you could connect to your PC via Bluetooth and console ps5 with lighspeed that would work
The Astro a50x don’t work with my monitor. lol (Philips 279m1rv) apparently it doesn’t work with a lot of 4k 144hz monitors with a KVM switch.
Sending them back as that’s just stupid!!
Does base station increase TV input lag ?
I didn't notice any difference, it felt like a straight pass though.
I had to change my 4k video transfer rate to -1 it was on automatic it gave me a black screen had to hard reset my ps5 to change it. I’m getting a new HDMI 2.1 to test if I can get 4k 120hz on call of duty I am limited to 1440p 120hz

I plugged my PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC into the Astro A50 X. The PS5 mic is working, as well as for the PC. However, for the Xbox Series X, the mic is not recognized; it has a little dash across the mic icon. I tried updating the headset through the HUB, but nothing worked. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank You

Yes you can only do one of the input sources plus Bluetooth.

I don’t like how I have to change the input on my headphones to get the video display on my tv. Like if I want to play Xbox I have to change the dock to Xbox to get it to show on my tv, even if I’m not using the headset.
That’s exactly what I don’t like either. Is there anyway around this?
You can just plug in the the usb only and skip the hdmi connection that will work.

That's odd since thats the monitor that worked for me.
@@GeekStreet Works if i unplug the output HDMI from the A50x, then select HDMI 1 on the monitor, then quickly plug back in the HDMI in the output on the A50x, then the passthrough video works

good review… but man, overpriced for what? sticking with my gen3 a50’s…. optical from base station to tv and wireless bluetooth adapter into aux base station gets me wireless optical audio (still the best sound imo) and simultaneous bluetooth on my xbox, ps5, and switch, for chat on discord or natively on xbox, and the astro xbox app works perfectly for eq, mic settings, etc. done and done.

@@GeekStreet no, multiple issues that seem to be common and for $400 I didn’t pay to be a beta tester. Also I though I could make it work but the setup is just awful needing 6 different cords to be plugged in 2 of which aren’t included and another has to be into a wall outlet is just dumb

No it's hdmi 2.1 so you can get 120Hz

Defo not worth upgrading even from Gen 3.
This headset comes with a really nice "white noise" that's impossible to turn off or turn down. As soon as the headset is turned ON it'll hum.
I returned 3 of em and all had the same issue.
I'm so done with Astros now. Wish I could re-buy my Gen 3s though..

Can’t even get these to update firmware to play on series X… what a joke..
I think the price is heavy overpriced, in germany they are sold out already, reseller wants 700-800€ on ebay 🤦♂️ thid thing costs on the logitech site 399€. For the price I demand better quality and less plastic, better mic, more battery life and less weight... and you need to be a hardcore gamer, only for pc competitive gaming, its an overkill.

With more metal it would be heavier, with a bigger battery it would be heavier, and you want it lighter while asking for it to be heavier? You have no clue how anything works. It’s a competitive level headset and you’re complaining that it’s for hardcore gamers. This is also cheaper if you’re using it for an Xbox, PlayStation and pc. $400 instead of $600.
