But here’s the only real difference between the two characters (neither of which is “relatable” to the average person): Serena got everything she wanted without even trying because she was gorgeous. Blair got everything she wanted without even trying because she was wealthy. It’s just that they were both beautiful and wealthy, and that Blair was more manipulative and cunning to get what she wanted, which is what makes audiences believe she’s “relatable.” Her cunning and ability to manipulative would amount to nothing if she didn’t have money and good looks to go with it.
