Ashoka's Youth Venture: Paul and Kevin

The Oakland Food Connection, part of Ashoka Youth Venture helps low income youth develop marketable skills and their own social venture through community garden programs. Paul and Kevin two charismatic youth involved in the program volunteer at a local rooftop garden and then sell their produce at a local farmer's market. They share how a couple hours per week working with their garden totally changed their perspective and gave them the desire to get others involved in projects to make a difference.

good for you paul this is very motivating and inspiring i volunteered @ a local senior citizen center in my community "meals on wheels"...it felt great not only to get out and do something positive but to build great relationships with the seniors there it was amazing so keep up the good work!
